Great videos, a beginner, plan on using Sketchup to enhance thing I make on my CNC (also new to). Haven't got that far yet just using premade plans/projects to learn the machine and Gcode.

Arch. 10 years ago, but not get chance to practice sketchup through official project, only I have done 2D Architectural Drawing from Autocad, so sketchup remaimed same beginner stage which I hv learned while studying in college. So plz bliss me to elaborate basic knowledge by practice continuation which I have achieved in campus 🌺🙏thank you very much 🌹🌺🙏
My tool bar at the top doesn't show all of the tools you have in this video at the beginning. I just downloaded Sketchup Pro 2024. Mine is missing everything past the little person icon but has a save to Trimble dark person icon there only.
There isn't a tray for mac. You have to select each one to view and then stack/resize to the side of your screen. Not as elegant as the windows version.

Evaluated Pro version 2023, versus the free 2017 version, which is available for offline desktop use. Not a single function you can't get an extension to compensate for. In contrary: Sketchup 2023 did not work with the sketchucation plugin. They really don't sell the products well. In 5 years, no relevant changes.
too bad they went to subscription model. I'll stick with my old version. Of course the big negative is now I can't import models from the big library. jerks.
The title is for SKETCHUP PRO 2024 but you are using 2023 which is not setup the same. like the toolbar that you start with is more complex than mine also when I right click in the toolbar there is not a drop down menu but an option to customize that opens a page of icons. I am migrating from an earlier version of autoCAD so I am not completely oblivious.
This tutorials series is a beginner series updated in the year 2024 to teach people how to get started in SketchUp (as opposed to my old series from like...2018). It's a time marker, not a version marker, so yes, it was in fact, released in 2024
