10 and 12 are just identification numbers. They are not 1.0 and 1.2. 10 refers to 0.6 mm line width and 12 to 0.7 mm line width.

I have a question. I like these for draw (obviously) but I also like the ink quality for normal note taking. Would you say these are good for basic note uses. And if so what's your recommended size to use?
Nib size should be chosen depending on your handwriting. I usually take my notes using 03 or 05
Yes absolutely! I think 0.5 is best for writing as it's more robust than the 0.3 so you wouldn't have do be delicate/think about it
