This is because even non-native English learners find it difficult to hear or understand. Native speakers will find it even more so. While some degree of accent is inevitable, I think it is important to try to keep the accent as close to a native accent as possible, because too strong an accent can make it difficult to hear and understand. This is because if the accent is too strong and difficult to understand, it puts a lot of strain and stress on the listener. If a learner of a language is going to communicate in that language, I believe that, at the very least, he or she has an obligation to try to minimize the stress on the listener. By the way, your Japanese is very easy to listen to and stress-free.
