I began with pointed pen many many years ago and loved it! I am now moving to brush pen calligraphy which I find more difficult than pointed pen. Which is kind of crazy since I hear so many are intimidated by pointed pen. BOTH are amazing and can be learned with practice practice practice. Love the video. Thank you!

Hi, just got em-mailed the link and jumped straight on here! I have been admiring the skill of calligraphy and drawn to it from childhood, I bought a couple of gift pack calligraphy kits throughout the years but as you say; it's not enough to purchase it and then have no instruction because you're not sure if you're doing it right and you don't get the results that you think you would straight away DOH, of course not - but you don't understand the PRACTICE it takes initially. I am so grateful for this video and to you both for sharing your knowledge. I'm realistically ready now and I'm going to learn it with my Dad too.
Thank you for the pointed pen instuctions. I have a fishing box full of these guys that have never been used because I was overwhelmed with how to get started. Soooooooooooo I found Becca and her brush pens instead. Now I'm more comfortable in opening that tool box and maybe getting the nibs dirty. We'll see.

Even though I've been doing pointed pen for a couple years now, I still enjoy watching starter videos. Sometimes I learn new techniques or helpful tips.
Such a great introduction! Sinah looks like an amazing teacher. I did the old timey calligraphy with my own handwriting, but it looks like brush pen and pointed pen calligraphy is all about muscle memory and learning the techniques!

29 November 2023. O.K. First up I am 71 years old and have grown up with beautiful handwriting in my life. I am currently doing Beyond The Drills with Becca (Happy Ever Crafter) using the Pentel brush pen and I am fascinated and envious of all the superfine work that is being produced by the other members. I am now just starting to give Pointed Pen a go and haveca go at this beautiful lettering style.

Hello Lady's, I enjoyed watch this video as it help to instill to slow down and not to get frustrated and give up. I tend to be a very impatient person there for getting frustrated and giving up to quickly. I think when I start to feel that way doing show me your drills, I will watch this video again. My favorite style. Its difficult and requires a certain feel. My favorite thing about any caligraphy is the calming effects. I aspire to do it professionally one day. Many years from now when i get good lol.
