Just found your channel. You remind me of James Rolfe, his non AVGN reviews. Where he's talking about movies, old memories and his 1 hour review of the entire TMNT series. How you include all the trivia. Even your editing style where you actually show what you are talking about.
Thanks! Older James Rolfe videos are definitely favorites of mine! I use to listen to Avgn all the time while I was working on projects. A lot of my favorite episodes of his are the longer informational videos. His Castlevania 4 part review was amazing. I watched all of his old monster madness reviews too.
Surprise that you didn’t talk about how they had different hands on the box 3:34 for Scragg then what came with them. You can’t switch out the gloves from the fur arms to the human arms. I tried. NECA messed up by showing certain bat arms on the box then what really came with Scragg. 🙄
I actually sold off all my figures a month ago to help my kid pay for college and to get a reset as it was getting out of hand. I want to collect TMNT again, but I want to only grab very specific characters that mean something to me. Sadly, these one episode gang members fall into the no buy category. NECA did a great job though. Now, I just need to figure out if I am going to collect Mirage or Toon. Mirage is much easier to get, where as Toon figures are so hard to find. I still can't find a toon April and now the new one is going for like $100. Tough decisions are upon me lol.
I don’t blame you at all. College was definitely the important choice. Tmnt toys have gotten waaay out of hand too. They’ve flooded the market again and I could see more and more people drop things altogether. I’d personally go toon but like you said way too many figures and it’s really pricey. I didn’t know April was $100 already. I should have bought her when she was $65. They better put her up on the neca site. They released way too much stuff way too close together this year. They’re using the fear of missing out mentality but like I said it’ll back fire. The surprise exclusives are lame too. I almost missed the mirage 4 pack because I thought I could get it later from bbts.
Even though I like the ultimates I’ve lost some interest in the line because Super7 never fixed any of the mistakes they’ve been making for the past 3 years. Figures are still as loose as ever. And until I see what future sculpts look like since playmates nerfed them I don’t know if I’ll collect past the wingnut and Scumbug wave.
Yeah, Dopey and Dumbo are names that are owned by Disney (Dopey obviously because he was named specifically for Snow White, Dumbo because they bought all the rights to the original story).
It’s a bummer, because dopey and dumbo seem like terms everybody use to use to call someone stupid. They became terms used by the people, but Disney has to protect their properties.
I wonder why Jersey Red was never mutated. Also, she’s the only female in the gang. Unless you want to count April going as a gangster. Which I don’t because she was undercover.

You can switch out the hands on Scrag. If you look at the action shots I posted like 1:15:30 you can see Scrag holding the sledge hammer.
