Another great one, brother. Kyle always seems like a likeable dude, the guy you wanna jam with. But the best part of this video was him adding another amp to the wall at the end. As much as I would like to try a Driftwood, I now want to add the Omega to my stable.

I’ve always loved your tone demos and now I partly know why. Fellow 1999 traditional slant owner (well.. former.. I’m an idiot). That cab was the best.
My 1999 traditional slant Mesa Recto cab is actually my longest serving piece of amp related gear since I bought it new in 1999. Sounds good with everything I have used it with and better than alot of "boutique" branded cabs that have come and gone in my collection over the years.

I also got one with the KT88/6L6, it's a killer amp. If you have the time, try it with other pedals also, Dirty Tree, Mud Killer, Precision Drive.
Even with Marshall Cabs.... It's brutal.

Great video, brutha! This amp sounded really good, and the 7 string was very gutty and made me happy!
I saw Driftwood at NAMM this year. I have to admit, those amps were easily the best sounding amps at NAMM (Peavey's Invective was 2nd). The only reason I don't own one is they are not cheap. If I ever see that Mini Driftwood head for a price I can do, I'll snatch it up.

Strangely enough that Purple Driftwood just didn’t do it for me. I thought it was going to crush but it was my little black heart that was crushed.
Now this amp I’m feeling a lot more. I’m going to have to check this model out more to make a better decision on it.

Hey Kyle, there's a used Fender 400ps on GC's website. I think you should jump on it and give us a demo. It's the most powerfull production guitar amp ever made! You might need a pedal, typical fender gain.

Yeah, really wish my purple nightmare had sounded like this too. I really liked it, or so I thought, then I bought the evh stealth. Sold the driftwood and never missed it.

sounds great but still waiting for heavy tones more on the vastly different spectrum like the mesa mark 2c+ and the randall rg100es, engl is has done a pretty good job but metal needs to sound different thats really at the root of its death, tone wouldn't be just in the fingers if distortion had more variety

Glad you enjoyed it. Didn't do it for me. As you were dialing it in, it was low-mid heavy and had a smearing effect on power chords. Later on, when you got the treble up and bass/low-mids under control, the gain structure was too spitty and grainy. It also was very fizzy. Again, glad you liked it and thanks to Jason for letting you show off this amp.

This sound like an amp that would sound good for Stoner, Doom, and Sludge.
A buddie of mine had one and it sounded amazeballz when at bedroom to loud in the room volumes but when we cranked it to gig volume it totally farted out and sounded like caca. Had to drastically re-eq it and even then it just didn’t sound good. Very disappointed since it was ball crushing awesome at lower volumes. He sold it immediately after.

I have bought from zzounds for nearly5 years and i still luv em but this new year they pull a congratulations you now qualify for 18 months play as u pay no credit check,on the website, and told me that it doesn't exist and im mistaken when i tried to order.... Just curious if anyone else had this happen cuz it destroyed a dream(come true, i thought) for me
Only certain items on zzounds fall into the 18 month category and they don’t really carry boutique amps like these

Yeah, I got it used and they were like that when I picked it up. I’ll be fixing it. The tabs on them are super thin metal.
@@j.howell814 Yes. I had the same issue on my Purple Nightmare Demo-Model which surprisingly was sent to me by Ola, who had it right before me, a few years ago.

Tone was too dark for pretty much the whole video, IMO. Needed more treble/presence.
There's a lot of annoying hum when your not playing. I would toss it.
There's usually hum in most of his videos. I was wondering if he has a problem with the wiring in the room/house.
