by far this is the cleanest paint removal i seen just feel bad about that wing logo because it does hurt my eye by just looking at it. As a Lakers fan, no way in hell i'll will be doing this to my pair but thanks for sharing this.
Do they still look good now? I painted some Jordan’s myself but they don’t look good anymore. Want to remove the paint but nothing worked, planning on trying this.

dope video bro! the red leather looks kinda pale and doesnt pop on camera, comparing to any other red AJ1 chicago, banned, bred toe etc, in person after removing the paint does it look proper in hand? i have a pair still DS but debating if i should remove the paint or flip it on stockx. Cheers!!!
thanks Lewis !!! it looks more red in person, my studio lights i use when i film i think makes it look a lil more orange than red. i plan 2 put leather conditioner on them 2 help the color stand out better. i will do a side by side comparison video soon of these next 2 my 2015 AJ1 Chicago.
@@TrenzUnltd oh okay, appreciate the response. I did 1 of my pairs after watching your video, same way you did it. Came out great! So now I'm just wondering if and what conditioner to use.
Trenz Unltd. Hey brotha I bought a pair off goat used super like new condition but the paint has been removed like 90% but still needs a good cleaning looks like he didn’t use tape and has a lil purple on the mid soles and the reds not completely looking like the way you got yours, so you think the 91% alcohol will do the trick, cause it’s the shoes over a year old, just wondering bro, appreciate your time brotha
it should help, the mid sole if it doesn't come off you can use Salon Care 40 or Angelus Sole Bright on it. I show how to use it on this video -----> ruclips.net/video/9VyMaEEyUns/видео.html
Damn I wish I would have been in the Sneakergame when those came out😭 I'm so in love with this Lakers Colourway but 600 bucks are just too much for me...
@@TrenzUnltd I think I might be lucky. I found them in size 9 for 160. And I also think they're real because the seller has a receipt and I've also asked two friends who told me that those look legit. The only thing kinda makes sceptical is the low prize and also that there aren't the 3 extra laces...
The only way I would do that Is lf I had a double pair beside that you made it look so easy always interesting to see the reveal of the sneaker great job bro I seen some people rock one laker colorway and the other Chicago bulls colorway on feet
thanks bro, i am going 2 remove the paint on the other one probably later 2day. i got your hat in 2day also, so i will get it shipped out on monday and send you the tracking #.
i left mine "as is" after i took the purple & yellow off, i do plan 2 put leather conditioner on them 2 see if it will brightens up the red some. i also bought a 2nd pair of these and left them the purple & yellow color and i did spray them with matte finish 2 help the colors from wearing off.
@@TrenzUnltd yeah got it, but nevertheless u could make some. Dope shoes, and you just turned them into Chicagos. No hate or something, just saying u could habe designed them so baadd 🔥
They just look so clean purple. And now with kobes passing, mine will likely stay lakers colors
i bought a 2nd pair and left them the Lakers colorway
Trenz Unltd. Bruh why
@@caseykittredge5446 Kobe.
I have a pair thats stripped, and i just bought an unstripped pair. Pretty stoked to mix n match

thanks Ian i appreciate that
best paint stripping tutorial on YT I found, thinking of just removing the paint on the top part to create something similar to the union 1's
thank you i appreciate that

thank you
if you're not careful with ur pair it will turn this color
Please also put up a side by side comparison of chicago 2015 with these newer version of the shoes. No one has that yet
i will do both the leather conditioning & the side by side with the Chicago 2015 in one video 2gether.
Please put up leather conditioning video!! Very interested in seeing how to do so.
Michael L. Would still love to see this
I was debating on getting this pair Jordans, or the green fear of god shoes, leaning towards this shoe now!
i doubled up on these and left the other pair in the Lakers color way
If your just washing them would it remove the paint ?
not sure since I did not try that method, it would probably cause bleeding issues getting the purple on all of the white areas if you did.
Do they still look good now? I painted some Jordan’s myself but they don’t look good anymore. Want to remove the paint but nothing worked, planning on trying this.
i wore them 2 weeks ago actually, they still look good.
Just got a pair. I’m gonna do something like the Home to homage jordan ones. So I have half laker half Chicago on both shoes
that would be a cool idea
Maybe spray some water and stain repellent on it before stripping the paint, so that purple have less chance of staining?
Why erase the color of the sneakers ? Which is main that
comes
Augusto Conte laimer cause the point is for it to change colors as you wear them but some people would rather just have the other color

you're welcome Lewis
I respect you for making this video. Stay safe, you got me subscribe
thank you Alex, i appreciate that.
maby its best to go at the wings with a que tip to avoid having the black bleed
mine turned out good, i have seen some people completely remove the black from the wings logo when they stripped off the purple layer of paint.
@@TrenzUnltd yeah so maby mask off the wings and carefully go at it with a que tip besides that this is grate for striping the purple layer
thank you for your feedback
Awesome video. Just picked up the light bone/crimson pair from shoe palace for like 35% off and wanted to do the same thing. Thanks for this.
thanks Eddy happy that it helped
Does it look a little orange or is that just me?
it's the studio lights that make them look a lil orange, in person they don't.
Any update on conditioning the
Sb after paint removal?
hope 2 film that video soon, running behind on filming.
@@TrenzUnltd oh okay, appreciate the response. I did 1 of my pairs after watching your video, same way you did it. Came out great! So now I'm just wondering if and what conditioner to use.
i am going 2 use some made by Angelus
prolly gon do half and half for now, but ill do both to have a beat up pair of chicagos once the other one starts fading
i have 2 pairs myself, i left one original and stripped down the pair on the video.
Does the acetone damage the leather?
i used rubbing alcohol on mine, but it didn't damage it though.
What % rubbing alcohol should I use?
i used 91%
@@TrenzUnltd actually did it before I seen your response and it happened to be 91%... came out great👍🏼
happy 2 hear
probably the cleanest removal on these but I wouldn't remove all of it but fade it from LA to Chicago
thank you
Hey O.G. Very interested to see how the the leather conditioner worked out for you if you’ve had a chance to get to it thanks stay up ✌🏾
haven't got it yet, but i will do a live how to video 4 it when i do bro.
@@TrenzUnltd how did the conditioner work out
honestly i never got back around 2 doing the conditioner on them yet, i do need 2 do a video of me doing that though.
@@TrenzUnltd How did the leather conditioner work out?
Hey bro random question but does the SB insole make the shoe more uncomfortable or do you not even notice it?
i honestly can't tell a difference
Does the purple not come off the wings logo? thanks for the review bro!
it does but it's more difficult than the rest of the shoe
@@TrenzUnltd thanks for the response. You happy with them still bro or should just for the chicago
yes i am still happy with them
What percentage was the alcohol? 🙏🏼
91%

Sick video. I’m thinking of getting this sneaker and doing the same 🔥
thank you, I appreciate it. it's super easy 2 do
Does anything bad happen?
Get a sole swap and take the paint off and switch the tag.... who will be able to tell the difference??
true, the red is a bit duller on these once you strip the paint.
I would fade the colors into each other I’m definitely buying these
Did you cop?
sum heat bro
Thanks 💯
I did mines same method but there’s still purple residue that won’t be removed unfortunately
i found you had 2 wipe the purple off right away and keep it away from the tongue so it would not stain it.
Damn I wish I would have been in the Sneakergame when those came out😭 I'm so in love with this Lakers Colourway but 600 bucks are just too much for me...

Why does it look orange now
the studio lighting on camera kinda makes it look orange, it's more of a matte red in person though.
Bro your supposed to skate on them to remove the paint
i don't skate, this is just a easy how to for people who want to change the color right away.
By skating em ?!! Oiskomitäää
Now u got a chicago with black sole.
Here from ron
here from ron ?
Wit the light it looks like an orange red
i think it's my studio lighting causing it 2 look that way, in person it looks more red.
Shoetuber?
where’s the leather conditioning video? lol
haven't got around 2 it yet lol
who agrees that after you take off the paint it looks like cartoon
I know how to remove the paint off these, you uhhhhhhhh... you SKATE them
that would literally just remove the paint in a couple of spots in the heel and toe area
Why you want to buy this LA if you have to take off the paint? Just buy a Chicago and save all that shit
Bro u just bought overpriced chicagos now, why u dont designed them ?
these have jumped in price big time since i made this video, you can't even buy these 4 the price i paid 4 them back then.
