I didn’t realize that purple layer was that thin lol. I’m getting a pair soon so ima see if its possible to remove it by scrubbing it with dry cotton balls. I’m not a fan of using acetone because it dries up the leather, and on this shoe it always ends up making it look super dry and ashy. Would have to use leather conditioner on it to bring back some shine on it.
@@kitkatara The leather would not be good after using acetone lol. It might look ok, but in the long run your shoe’s upper is gonna crack really badly from the acetone drying it out. Conditioning you favorite leather shoes will help extend their lifespan 👍🏻
This Nike SB model of the Jordan 1 comes from the factory like this. The LA colors are supposed to wear off to reveal the Chicago colors underneath. Some people like the distressed look from natural wear but many like to strip all the paint off

as you said the leather condition should be good after using acetone. how did they turn out?
