Sean’s attention to details really help a lot. I always watch his vid before buying a sneaker. Keep up the great work bro. Also I like the 2022 version, because I feel like we get quite a bit of Jordan 1s that look relatively the same, with a few colors switched. The vintage look kind of lets this one stand out a bit and really kind of tells the story of the Chicagos.
Thanks for doing this, Sean. My first ever Jordan was the Chicago’s in 1985, and to be quite honest, I prefer the 2022 version. Forget about the vintage look, I just think it has a little more elements that remind me of the ‘85. Visually I like it a little more than the 2015, but both are very solid releases. If you have both, it’s a win win. I’ll be doubling up on the ‘22. Thanks again for this comparison. Great work.

I would say I prefer the older version for the shape but I do like more the sail and muted red on the new one, so kinda hard to chose a winner for me haha, maybe all the packaging of the 2022 version makes it a bit more exiting to get !

I prefer the 2015, but the Chicago colorway is just one of the goats in sneakers, can't go wrong with either pair.

I like the 2022 version a lot in comparison. I do find the aged collar to be a bit hit or miss for some despite me liking it. All in all, however, I wish they would’ve just released it as an ‘85 Chicago as they did with the Neutral Greys and Georgetowns. The swoosh definitely should’ve emulated those more if they were going for the “Lost & Found” story they’re trying to push.
That's how they get us every year. Something will always be different or off for the next release.

I think both shoes have their place. The 2015s are just classic, but I definitely love the story behind the Lost and Founds. And the execution of the aesthetics of the shoe is top-notch. Hype shoes and collabs always have a slight edge to me because the stories behind the design lend to the imagination.
I feel given the deep history the AJ1 has and in this og colour way the vintage treatment really makes sense. I do prefer the height of the 2015 but apart from that the 22 all the way
Dope Shoes and Dope Review Sean! I wouldn't comapre them to the 2015s and personally loving the sail touch to the vintage looks to them. I got my pair Just Today after getting a good deal on Ebay and having them in my hand.. such a feel they are worth every penny. Finally Found My Lost N Found. :D
great review as always sean/best on feet section as aswell - i felt i had to go up .5 / these new jordan 1 moulds feel more snug that previously... and the extra width helps comfort... classic 2015 look is the best/i'll beat them myself

I like the 2022 pair more 🔥 I also think that they went with a little lower cut cause the pair jordan wore was a lower cut. I'm more than sure his personal pair wasn't a high cut.

I bought the 2015 Chicago’s at urban necessities for 1100 in 2019 now they go for like 3,5k crazy how much they took off in prices, best decision I made visiting the US!

I’m taking the ‘22. Less clunk, a bit more snug for extra lockdown, and the build seems to be different & lighter from the rest of the OG High 1s. Perfect to hoop in. Would be nice to grab two pairs (at retail), one to hoop & another to wear regularly or even keep on ice for a while, but that may be almost impossible.
You plan to hoop in them even though there's basically no cushion inside?
@@prplehaze8442 I’ve been playing in 1’s and Blazers for a long time. Great traction & court feel. I’m not worried about cushion much. Only thing is sometimes I wear two pairs of socks to improve lockdown.

I feel like the 2022 versions are gonna look terrible after they’ve been worn for years so I prefer the 2015 even though I’m gonna have to grab the 2022s

I dont mind the aged details on the lost and found, however I prefer the 2015 chicagos to the 2022 version
these are my favourite sneakers ever been wearing them for like 4 years
2022 pair easy, as a real og sneakerhead I love the fact that they look like a clean pair of 1994's
I prefer 2015 only bc the 85's that they have released just aren't as comfortable. I buy them every time. I wear them every time. Then I try with thin socks and break them in. Finally end up selling them used bc they just don't ever feel great. For the Chicago colorway I'll obvious make it work but I'd prefer 15's. What would be perfect is gimme a full shoe like the Chicago side of Homage to Home.
Really like the 2015’s more, feel like they’re trying to make a story on the 2022’s that we didn’t need. Just release the Chicago’s in the 1985 cut and it’d go crazy

2015 for me. Cracked leather is a bit hard to maintain (I have a Nike Blazer "Day of the Dead").

I pleased they didnt give these that horse shoe shaped toebox or those laces floating milimeters above the toebox and bottom of the tongue like the 85 highs. Im not a fan of cracked leather at all really but as I have a pair of the 2015s I can only remember wearing once I wanna cop the 2022s to wear as much as possible and add to the vintage look while getting my moneys worth.
Heard the swoosh on the 2022 is slightly bigger but side by side can barley tell

Resell of the 2015 is insanely high. I'm good with my 2022 pair. Plus the 2022 will age well compared to the 2015 version due to how they are constructed.
Getting the 2015 Chicagos for 600 a few years ago was the best decision I made seeing how crazy the prices have gone

true story i start working at a pawnshop , i see a pair of 2015 Chicago 1s i was able to buy them for $150 and some 2013 bred 13s for $50with my employee discount
Got to admit, if you didn't state the opposite, would have sworn the 2022 was the 7 year old sneaker due to the yellowing of the rubber cupsole! Otherwise the one key sneaker people are going to get mugged for...😎

Sorry I'm a yr late. But anyways I just got the 2015 Chicago's on ebay by an auction. For some reason I kind of feel comfortable with the 2015, I like the "Lost and Found" but it feels like the material is more stiff and thicker than the 2015 version. Also you realize the "Lost and Found" bleeds when you wash it or when it gets wet. IMO I'm probably going with the 2015. I wish they made tongues more higher on these Air Jordan 1s to make it look more vintage. Other than that I'm glad I copped one at a reasonable price.
Cause the L&F has real leather. The 2015 has synthetic. The L&F leather absorbs water cause it’s authentic leather
@@givemesometime8405 In a way I think you got a point. I like both versions but it feels like the L&F feels more old school. I also notice the swoosh logo on the L&F looks more bigger then the 2015...IMO.

I own the 2022 pair. But I prefer the 2015 because it has no cracked leather. And I’m not into that vintaged colorway. But hey, the 2022 is the one I could get. So I’m still happy with it. Just prefer the 2015 pair 😂

I’m so disappointed on the quality of the leather on the lost and found it is nothing like the 2015 Chicago… Specially the softness on the round the toes and even by the wing logo the leather is nothing like it is very stiff like a normal Jordan 1 🤷🏻♂️ so definitely like you said I will be wearing my 2015 out of my closet😎
I don’t understand why Nike is so reluctant to just retro the Chicago 1 in its regular version. We have gotten almost every other og retro 1 except the chi since 2015. Unless they are waiting til 2025…

Agreed. Nike and Jordan Brand always try to be weird about releasing the Chicagos in their true form for some odd reason. Just release an OG 85’ normal Chicago and I’ll do numbers. They’re making this difficult for no reason whatsoever.
