I have 10 Ferrari's at the present time, Including a LaFerrari and an Enzo also a 330 P4 and a 512 M, F-50 and a 250 GTO along with several others.They cost me nearly 200 dollars off ebay. Yeah they're Hot Wheels but it's the closest I'll ever get to the real thing.

I learned about Ferrari’s policies in 2002 when I went to buy a Modena. The sales person was very kind and let me test drive it when I moved to Florida in 2001, still waiting for my professional license (I’m sure he vetted my story) and no high-paying job (yet). Raymond, I’ll never forget him. Anyway, I finally went to the dealer…I was told I couldn’t order a new car, but I had to lease 4 (FOUR) cars, over 1-2 years in order to be ELIGIBLE.
Drove to the Porsche dealer and bought a less-maintenance-dependent and abuse-tolerant Porsche Turbo which I turned into a track car. Very good choice. Low maintenance costs and can take track duty really well.
You are not the customer Ferrari wanted. Simple as that. And you proved it by settling for a Porsche instead.

@@njelegenda McLaren isn't going bankrupt. They almost went bankrupt, but that was because of the virus. Ferrari is very profitable because their cars are extremely expensive, you're paying more for the brand and the exclusivity than the materials required to make the car.

I keep hearing from several videos, review websites, and word of mouth at some of the Cars & Coffee events I go to that McLaren is awesome about getting you _into_ one of their cars, but after that the customer support and service is supposedly god awful. Now, I don't know if that's at all true, internet being the internet and all, but there are an awful lot of forum threads and owners groups saying that they are disappointed with how poor the after-sale support is.

In April 2022, there was a sports car exhibition at my college (Pune, India). The fleet of cars included McLaren 720s, Aventador S, Huracan Performante, Maserati GT, Porsche 911s, Maybach, AMGs, Audi R8s and other brilliant cars, I pondered why there isn't a single Ferrari (not even something like a Portofino) in here and now after watching this video I got the answer.

Not really. SF90 isn't a limited production car. Also, Ferrari doesn't make the rules of owning pre-owned Ferrari's before purchasing the first Ferrari, as it's the dealership that makes these rules. Different dealerships have different rules.

You can buy second hand Ferraris, but that doesn't mean you can buy one brand new. The video isn't talking about dealerships that sell 2nd hand, but rather those that sell brand new.
And yes Ferrari can overrule a dealerships interest to sell the car if Ferrari thinks the owner isn't worth their car. They literally have contracts with dealerships for this.
And FYI 2 models of the SF90 are limited production. The SF90 LM and just today they announced the SF90 XX stradale.

Ferrari doesn't force someone to buy their existing cars in order to buy some of their new mainstream production cars that are on sale! It's the dealership that makes these rules that one needs to own some pre-owned Ferrari before getting their first new Ferrari!

Justin Bieber violated one of the ownership rules that he signed before taking delivery of his Ferrari, he modified his car at WCC which wasn't approved by Ferrari and rightfully deserves the cease and desist letter. There's absolutely no source to prove your claim that Ferrari would send a cease and desist letter to Bieber if he buys a pre-owned Ferrari.
The huge majority of luxury watch brands also do this. It can be as basic as Rolex just giving preferred waiting list places to those "preferred owners", to Richard Mille literally not allowing you to get anything but their cheapest models and then you need to own them for X number of years and absolutely never EVER sell them.
Makes no sense how these crummy companies don't go under when they kick customers out the door day after day... Even if i won the lottery, I wouldn't bother looking at a Ferrari. I could care less if they go under. They need to replace the logo with that of Scrooge McDuck.
Ferrari is like Pokemon. Get basic ones, race others, participate in events and make friends. Build up your rep as a Ferrari owner. Once you have the main story cars you can unlock the side quests and legendary cars, GOTTA DRIVE 'EM ALL!!

@@HerpaDurpVg or, there people hard working going after there dream car to go in. I can assure you, people are having as much fun with there supercar as you do with your mustang. The performance is worth it for those who don't have the time to tune a lower tier car. It's all up to preference.
I got into an exclusive hyper/super car meet by complete connections and coincidence, and it was crazy. A Pagani, SF90, 812 Competizione, Chiron, a few SVJ’s, an Enzo etc... but the guys that owned them were all crowded around a random vauxhall and laughing and enjoying just talking about it. It changed how I saw these people because a lot of the time you think millionaires/billionaires are stagnant and don’t have time. And now also seeing this video it’s made me realise how much pain and time went into all those cars I have even more respect.
I remember my first BMW M5, really fun car until something broke and cost 1/4 the total value of the car like a $750 fuel pump, or $1000 mass airflow sensor + body. Meanwhile I still have my toyota sc300 i bought back in 2010 with only belts, filters, fluids, and spark plugs replaced even after adding a turbo...

The Zonda is amazing and I've always wanted one however with all this cool tech coming every year I'm excited for Lucid Air or Hyperion XP1. I love technology and innovation. I also want to say that I agree with specialty marketing. If you want a custom shirt or board or anything you're usually going to want something unique so I'd rather wait until it's made apposed to getting it right away.
I remember one of the big gang leaders (in the 90s I believe) in Oslo, Norway used to own a Ferrari (it was a part of his mythos). The local Ferrari dealer supposedly begged to buy it from him
I worked at Mercedes and saw how true it is of people not buying these cars, the dude had a sls and never drove it, only brought it to the work shop for a service then parked the poor thing again.
I feel like people who do this can’t truly afford the car and the wear down on it to enjoy it. Sad. I want a fast car for the experience. And hopefully my rich friends all get that instead of having to show off to them. That’s the friends I’ll pick anyway.

This is so true holy. Went with my uncle to buy his first super car. Always wanted a Ferrari so went to the dealership. They didn’t give us the time of day because it was our “first Ferrari”. My uncle found the one he wanted and they were trying so hard to push a few of the pre owned cars they had on the lot.
In the end he ended up walking to the lambo dealership across the street and walked out with brand new huracan. They were x100 nicer and made the experience incredible. Buying your first super car should be an experience and lambo treated it as it.
Ferrari has been pampered by customers for decades. Its a fact that they are amazing machines, but should I ever get the chance to afford a supercar, it wouldn't be a ferrari.

@@gumnaamaadmi007 Guys let's be honest, sometimes you don't buy the car but you join the club. With Ferrari you get to know others owner, new deals open up for your company, you meet new rich (often important) people and all with the same passion (otherwise you are not sold a Ferrari). It is, in my humble opinion, a much more truthful experience than sitting in front of a Huracan and getting a nice shopping trip, just to maybe buy a SUV as your next car because it is stressfull driving a supercar. As much as i love Ferrari and Lamborghini since i'm an italian even, it is different, trust me. I'm not saying it is correct or incorrect, but Ferrari has its points. There is a reason why they are growing up more and more every year while mantaining their "passionate-closed" policy instead of building an SUV based on an AUDI.
In my opinion, at the end of the day, you just need a car that puts a smile on your face. my dads ‘94 Corolla wagon was so fun to be in you sat so low to the ground that 40 felt like 70, sure it only had about 100hp and 100Nm but it had this almost keen personality ready to take on any mission whether it be cruising for 600km or just simply going to school it was also made more fun by driving through the school parking lot and seeing all the private school kids with the newest golf or Audi move away bc they know, I’m in afraid to get another scratch in the paint, rip the Toyota Corolla, traveled the distance to the moon and back.
Perfect example: when the Enzo was released you couldn’t buy one because you had to be chosen by Ferrari, so you had to be a high-end customer or someone really important to own a brand new Enzo.

People seem to forget that the F1 wasn't "super exclusive" when it was released, they actually had trouble selling it.
I think they were planning to make more F1's but stopped production because of poor sales.
That made them super expensive later on because people who wanted them realized “I have to buy it resell” and the resellers would go out to resell them at tremendous prices, like Rowan Atkinson MR BEAN selling his F1 after crashing it multiple times for over 2 million pounds
The mclarens are street legal racecars but race car is not always dream car. In fact the more you develop the race part the more you risk to ruin the dream side. Aesthetics count. OTOH Mclarens and Murray's ones tend to not compromise and that is admirable in itself.

I think building out your favorite hypercar, for me a pagani, would be one of the most special experiences as an auto enthusiast. Those cars are just so special
That's what Koenigsegg does for me just because they make so few vehicles. I don't think they've even passed 1,000 yet, maybe.
Even building out something like a Lamborghini Aventador that everyone knows would be incredible, but building a Pagani would be insane, they're super rare and expensive.

When talking about the Porsche loaners, you guys said they usually ship you out in base models, but I've had the opposite experience. Every time I get my cars serviced I'm out in a 911RS or a GT3, or a fully loaded Cayenne
Really the dealership I worked at only gave out macans n cayennes as loaners
I think the MINI dealers in my town were trying subliminal marketing. Whenever I brought my NA MINI for service, they sometimes told me there were too many cars to service and sent me home with a loaner. The complication of buying such cars also applies to some other types of high end vehicles. If you try to buy a Rolls Royce there is a lot involved unless you want to buy a pre-owned. Then again, the dealer may refuse to sell you anything if they feel you don't meet their standard as a customer.
Why the hell would a dealer refuse to sell you a car ? For brand new ones I can understand the brand cares for his image but the dealer ? Or maybe he doesn't want to penalize the brand and deteriorate his relationships with them ?

100% i was a Warranty Administrator for Porsche, Ferrari, Maserati and Aston Martin and then an Asst. Service manager for Ferrari/Maserati and a select few of very dedicated customers the manufacturers would offer to them pre-production. One of my customers declined getting an ENZO because if was not available with a gated manual transmission.
Cool video, and as far as it goes for Ferrari, Yea absolutely what i experienced, this exclusivity thing. I had to get a lower model CPO to start building a rapport with SF. The difference for me is, I buy cars to tear ass with them lol. I have several normal sports cars (M2, 911, Supra, 3000tg, etc.) This is my first SF and yea, I don't care about the "status" it gives, I want it because of its beauty and performance. Yes i had it tuned, and yes i have hit 160MPH down a back highway in the town i live in lol. I bought it for the driving experience, nothing more nothing less. And goddamn what an experience it is.

I used to dream of owning these super exotic sports cars when I was younger, but eventually grew out of it. I have a lot of wealthy friends who do in fact own a lot of these rare wheels, always special ordered. Yes, they look awesome, are faster than hell, corner like a roller coaster, and are more like spaceships than cars. I just think of them as curiosities. I love the engineering, the design, the roar of the engine, but they're not my style these days. When I have enough to plop down on a Lambo I sink it into real estate, and never regret it.

My buddy owns about 50 exotic cars. He buys from DailyDrivenExitics youtube page. To own his Laf Ferrari and his SF90 Ferrari, he had to use the Ferrari program, which means he has to by a series of 20 Ferrari purchases to show he’s a loyal Ferrari client. After he completed the program he got his name inserted into the Laf Ferrari steering wheel and so on.
For example he would purchase a Ferrari 488 and immediatly purchase a F8 Tributo. When the F8 Tributo comes in he trades the 488 for the F8 Tributo and then he orders a another Ferrari and when that Ferrari shows up, he trades the F8 Tributo for it and the process repeats until he’s able to get the Laf Ferrari and the SF90. The SF90 should be here around February.

you first had to pay some deposit and wait 0ver 8 months for the car to arrive at the dealership.

A friend of mine has a mclaren 570s and it's a massive 10/10 from me, the seats feel like sitting on a brick with a piece of leather laid over it, and is somehow comfortable. It feels like your in a boat that your getting pushed very violently over the edge of except you feel that pushing sensation until you let off the throttle.
This is all good for the limited edition cars. It has long been known that if you wanted an Enzo when it was released, you needed "to be known."
The regular Ferrari's are available to all.
