Just subscribed after Lincoln street recommended your work bench video. Well done. I can't imagine how many hours you put into that one. Wish i had a big shop for something like that bench. Smart to look for latches too. I have an aversion to them but it's hard to find an equally easy alternative. Well, I'll look forward to your next video. - Cheers
Hey Dylan, A big thank you for stopping in, I greatly appreciate that, and yes, it took months of time. Maybe 4 1/2 months, but not all of that was building and editing, about half of that was spent on creating plans for the workbench, I'm looking forward to my next project now lol. And I agree, I did not like putting those "latches" on my bench, but I could not find an alternative, hopefully someone much smarted than me will offer a suggestion :) Thanks again ! Cheers, Paul
Just came across your videos and I’m loving your channel. The reason you can’t get the Tilt Box to display 4.56 or 4.57 is because the Tilt Box is rated for resolution of 0.05 degree increments (0.05,0.10,0.15…) Klein is rated for resolution of 0.1 degree increments (0.1,0.2,0.3…). You probably already knew this but just in case this is helpful. Keep making awesome stuff and sharing it with us.
Hey Joseph, nope, I did not already know... and I finally have my answer 😊 Thank you for helping me to understand the resolution 👍, I always wondered if something was not set up properly. FYI - I have since found out they do not make the tilt box anymore. Not sure why, but happy I have one. Thanks so much for your comment and for stopping in mate! All the best to you
I have the Kline 935DAA I love it and it is a lot easier to read. I have a few of there products and they seem to do there job and at a reasonable price.
Hey Bradley, I find I use the Kline most of the time because of how easy to read it is like you said. I've also hear they do not make the Tilt box any more. Thanks for stopping in :)
More decimal places (resolution) does not equal accuracy. It would also be helpful to see these compared to known accurate angles, such as engineering squares, instead of against each other. Both could be wrong, and then how would we know?
Hey Greg that's a good point that I didn't even think of when comparing these two. Now I feel I should do another video, and include an engineering square that is accurate to gauge the rest by. Thanks for the suggestion and for leaving me your comment!
I have a Klein, and my one gripe with it is in using a machined standoff to measure angles of recessed bits and bobs. It has that strange indentation around its middle that makes it difficult to get a confident read on. I'll definitely have to look into this other one!
From what I recall reading, I think that strange indentation in the middle is for use with metal conduit. The Tilt Box is just a good as Klein, but smooth on all sides. Thanks for you comment mate!
So in the saw blade demo, you could've attached the side of the Tilt Box to the blade, resulting in the readout being right-side-up instead of sideways, correct?
Hi, I didn't even think of that, but your are absolutely correct. The Tilt Box has 3 magnets (Bottom and Sides). Thanks for pointing that out for me and others! Cheers
Hey Frank, Me too! I tend to use the Klein most of the time now. I like the led bright display, and the magnets are amazing! Thanks for stopping in and leaving your comment. Cheers
Hi Jimmy, I originally purchased it online from a company called "Lee Valley" but it seems they no longer have it on their site? In fact, the only place I found it for sale was here - www.dynamitetoolco.com/big-horn-14220-beall-tool-tilt-box-tbh-14220-18216.html Not sure why its mysteriously absent now? For what its worth, the Klein was just as good. Both had an margin for error reading of .2 degrees. Thanks for stopping in 👍

@@vanislestudio No worries, I'm sure I'll be one of the guys needlessly saying, i was one of your first subscribers, when you hit 250k subs. 😂

Thanks for sharing. Where can you purchase the tilt box 2?

are these good and accurate also which one is better and which one would you recomend
Hi @michaelbrock6222 they are both accurate to .2 of a degree. I like the Klein and find I end up using it most often. Thanks for asking Cheers
If You din't mind, what kind of camera do you use? Great info btw.
Hi @omniwork5621 don't mind at all thanks! I use an I phone 14 (For wide angle) and a Sony A7III camera with a Sigma 35mm art f1.4 Lens. Cheers!
I know for a fact that the Klein does not use a 9 volt batt, it uses 2 AAA's. I doubt if the Tilt Box uses a 9 volt either.
Hey David, you are right, Sheesh, did I say 9 volt! Woops, my bad and thanks for letting me know.
The tilt box 100% uses a 9v battery
It appears the Tilt Box doesn't exist any more . Cant find it in stock or for sale anywhere.
Hi Ronny, I just realized this and thank you for pointing it out. I'll leave a comment at the top of the list indicating so. Thanks again!
What unit is more accurate, that's what it comes down to.
Thanks for your comment @Joey.Darkwoods-Studio! Well said, Cheers
정반위에 sine bar 로 정확한 각도를 만들고 측정하면 어떤게 더 정확한지 명확하게 구분할수 있습니다.
Thanks for the great suggestion! Ill have to give it a try, Cheers
I think 1 decimal is more than enough in the steel or woodworking business.
Hey @balazslakatos9817 thanks for your comment I think you are right! Cheers
