I learned some useful tips from this video. Amongst them, the “paste without format” and “summarize” are very useful when making notes and I didn’t know them before. Thanks!
7:00 YAY, they even added "Face Covering" under the Headwear tab😅. I love the color of my mouse pointer now. So cool! Triggering the Hot Corners by mistake drove me crazy, now that is fixed. Thanks for pointing out these tips and tricks.
I find the Web Receipts folder in the documents folder to be incredibly useful: It does NOT exist by default but you do not have to create it either. If you wish to save to that folder, do it via the Print dialogue. File-->Print-->PDF (PDF is located at the bottom of the Print window, to the left of the Cancel and Print buttons). From the dropdown menu under PDF, choose "Save to Web Receipts." If this is the first time using this feature, the Web Receipts folder is created inside the Documents folder. Henceforth anything saved to Web Receipts goes into this folder. I choose to place each subsequent year's receipts into a new Receipts folder for each year. On Jan 1st, 2024 I will make a new folder called 2023 Receipts in the Documents folder and move all the 2023 receipts there, reserving the Web Receipts folder for 2024 receipts.
Open thumbnails in your PDF document, select the pages you want to split, drag them out to desktop, then delete those already selected pages from the original document. Voila, you have two separate PDF documents.
One thing i love about Apple is that they are not just a tech company but a powerful marketing company as well. It's 2023 and they have people excited about wallpapers almost as if its some new ground breaking invention.
Why won’t an iPad be enabled as an aggregate device in the Audio MIDI Setup? If i have it plugged it it shows up in the list but is separated at the bottom by a thin line; it says enable right on it, but when clicked it brings up iPad as a device (just like any other USB device to be added in an aggregate device as I please) I could potentially add for about one second but then it goes away out of the list and shows up the same way it was again at the bottom and the button goes from “Disable” to “Enable” again… I have authorized the devices on everything and trusted the devices. Does anyone have any idea how to be fix this??!
Great tips, I’ve come from 32 years of using windows to the Mac for the last 8 years. These tips are great and will make me more productive too. Plus I’ll have more fun
Thank you for this.. after my school banned tablets, my grandpa immediately insisted on buying me this computer! However, ive had windows for 7 years so im watching all videoos surrounding this computer😅
All of the tips ad tricks that you showcased that you have found in "10 years" were found in just 4 years by a 13 year old child in half the time you took. but still thanks! this video made me remind all of these tips again to use them daily.
Please show on the screen all keystrokes mentioned please... eg: CMD-S It's hard to take in all of your words, us humans multitask better when listening and reading, thanks!
Your advice on battery preservation (charge till 80, unplug and discharge at 20) wrecked my battery. I started using AlDente to keep my charge in 49-51 range for a long time. Both charge cycle and battery health has been better than the time I took your advice. Yet, I am here to see if you know anything that I do not. Kindly be careful while making content.
I’m assuming you’re referring to my battery video? Actually I recommended to keep it plugged in the entire time. Alternatively, keeping it between 80% and 20% is good too, but it’s a lot of effort. I can guarantee you that IF your battery health has decreased abnormally, it’s not because you were following those instructions (which is what Apple and other battery experts also recommend). You either have a dud battery, or there were other factors involved (e.g. heat, malfunctioning charger etc). To be clear, at the time I also recommended to stay away from Al Dente.
All good, but why did you have to say "I’m *assuming* you’re referring to my battery video?" though? Why assume? Wasn't it clear? Or were you trying to inform your audience (who don't watch your video end to end) that you didn't discuss this subject in this video?@@CreatedTech
Would you recommend updating to Sonoma with only 8GB of memory? Looking at the new features, I feel like it's just a lot of bloat that I might not need. I know your system is meant to use memory but I'm worried that Sonoma will make me use more swap.
If you have enough money and you need a good computer, I recommend to just create a backup, and buy new macbook, and then on the new macbook click restore backup and just sell the old macbook

Did he just say what I thought he did? 😂 2:57

Look at what he searched😭😭
TBH this was the most needed video I was waiting for...
I HAVE BEEN LOOKING EVERYWHERE FOR A PASTE FEATURE FOR SCREENSHOTS! THANK YOU!

Summarize is a killer feature for me)

Been a mac user for 15 years and learned a lot of super useful tips. Thanks!
Love the merge PDF tip! Wondering if there's an easy way to split PDFs as well...
Open thumbnails in your PDF document, select the pages you want to split, drag them out to desktop, then delete those already selected pages from the original document. Voila, you have two separate PDF documents.
I've learned tons of helpful tips! Thanks!
So, it's not Command + Shift + 4 and hit Enter, you hit Spacebar. No wonder it didn't work! LOL Great video!
this was TOP TIER. thanks man
Great video, learnt a lot of features from this, thanks
the predectied text is a really cool feature
7:31 Make sure you press SPACEBAR, not Enter (the text is correct, but not the Voiceover).

Is there a way to preview a open file in the dock by hovering the cursor above it, similar to Windows?
Impressive, i actually learnt something new

Great tips, thanks! In Sonoma, I don't see a Finder View option to change background color. did they remove this?
It only works in icon view.
Man im a new mac user. and you just saved one mac mini and one macbook. almost ready to sold them. Yeah they are better in adobe than windows but :D.
Very helpful
3:30 A lot of blurred icons and folders there....maybe it's the aforementioned hentai.
There's a single frame unblurred right when it pops up, and it's all boring normal stuff. Disappointed.
Thank you!
The quote "Works great for hentai." was very subtle...😅
wow thanks !

Same here, my MBA m1 battery went from 99% health to 81
I always charge to 80% and discharge to 20

@@AlexanderIsDead Why are you getting so hung up on my reply? I think the wording I used is pretty self-explanatory.
You use russian pc layout? Really? What for? Может ты еще и говоришь по русский? Удиви меня:)
Брат. ТЫ русский?
Now I can cancel Adobe pro thank you l!!!!
First hehe
And where are the incredible tips&tricks?

it's the same as ventura for me
If you're on Apple silicon go for it. If you're using an old Intel Mac, possibly not. I haven't tested it.
If you have enough money and you need a good computer, I recommend to just create a backup, and buy new macbook, and then on the new macbook click restore backup and just sell the old macbook
if you want there is also another shortcut, you go to application, and you can delete edge like a normal human being 😂😂
How is this video-recording App called?
caffeinate and summarize are definitely the coolest features I learned in this video.
the caffine app lets you do the caffinate command without worrying about terminal
4:31 you can just right click and select "Turn Hiding On/Off"
