In this exclusive interview, Wolves head coach Julen Lopetegui reflects on the start of his coaching journey and his time as the Spain national team boss.
The former professional goalkeeper talks about how, with the help of mentor Iñaki Sáez, he made the transition from player to coach, kickstarting a journey that would see him manage Spain and Real Madrid, before winning the Europa League with Sevilla.
He discusses his insights into managing a group and looks back on his two unbeaten years as Spain’s manager in the run-up to the 2018 World Cup in Russia - a tournament in which he would ultimately not lead La Roja.
