Recruitment is everything. If Lopo is here, Steidten needs to be working already to support him. Coaches, players. Tim will have his Targets, but the coach must be empowered. We need a solid 11, excellent options off the bench to effect a game, and a man who is going to manage the group. I have no concerns that Tim will build a highly talented squad, it's just down to someone to manage the group and stick to the script. I would definitely be keeping Nolan as a coach next season, then if it is Lopogeuli, bring in some low-level transfers as well to support him, players he knows. If Lopo is coming in, it should be decided by now. Him and Tim need to be already making plans. That's in terms of recruitment, opposition analysis for next year, planning a season's worth of sessions for the players, etc. Whoever replaces Moyes next season, his main role is the coaching.
I’m with you ironclad57, he won’t put up with crap from the owner, maybe he’s serious about taking his team’s as far as he can & wants to try to go to the top ⚒
Lopetegui being misled by the owners at wolves doesnt add up though. Every man and his dog in Wolverhampton knew wolves would have ffp issues that summer. Especially with the spending spree in the January transfer window where Lopetegui was given a blank check. So when he publicly came out towards the end of the season as though he was surprised was baffling. So either 1 He genuinely didn't know - which is bizarre 2 The board told him to ignore what they everyone was saying about ffp and that they had a work around wink wink - which is naive 3 Lopetegui wanted wolves to do a Nottingham forest and not care about breaches of ffp and spend - as at that point no one had been given points deductions - which is dangerous And looking how things turned out for Everton and forest, they were right to tell Lopetegui no. Lopetegui himself has never explicitly said what happened, he has always been vague.
2:28: 'On the face of it' - Worries me. That needs to be a guarantee next season. The players need to believe wholeheartedly in the coaching. The man working with the side next season will be purely focussed on the football. Tim will be handling everything else.. That's who comes in, who comes out. Who is promoted through the youth team and who is signed. The person leading rush green has to be an outstanding coach. Make the football enjoyable. Man management is more than just G'ing people up, its managing personalities and minutes next season, for me. We need to attack the league with 15, 16 senior players. Everyone needs to be signing off the same hymn sheet. Continue.
I'm having my concerns about Lopeguli. Does he want to be a coach or a manager? Tim has the recruitment aspect job down to a T. What ever is going on at rush green needs to match that standard. Is he a good coach is what I want to know.
Tim needs to support him with some 'on side' signings. Whether that's Kilman, Cunha, an ex-player. I have positive feelings that we have a good situation in terms of assets, finances, and quality players. Any more good players we bring in in the summer must be be greeted by a fun, entertaining, competetive Rush Green with a winning mentality. We need to attack the league. Like I said, 15, 16 senior players who are looking to get 3 points every game at home and more often than not away from home. That means the football at Rush Green needs to be banging and the mentality needs to be winning.
It all needs to be about coaching next season. Enjoyable, winning football. Is he the man to bring that? Tim will be sure to get a good summer under his belt. The man 'running tings' at Rush Green needs to be a GREAT COACH.

Loving these interviews. Appreciate hearing both sides. Looking forward to next season!
Thanks for listening
Thanks Anton, really good to hear the views of Dave which were very fair and balanced.
He didn’t let you down. He saved your butts from relegation and then got screwed over by the owners making promises they kept breaking. So he walked.
Wtf ?
I’m with you ironclad57, he won’t put up with crap from the owner, maybe he’s serious about taking his team’s as far as he can & wants to try to go to the top ⚒
The club told him there would be signings but he didn't want to wait. I have no doubt he was messed around slightly but he overreacted massively
I dont think he overreacted. The Wolves owners broke their word.
@@ogyamatta6903 unfortunately circumstances and goalposts change. It was common knowledge in about May that this would be the situation.

So either
1
He genuinely didn't know - which is bizarre
2
The board told him to ignore what they everyone was saying about ffp and that they had a work around wink wink - which is naive
3
Lopetegui wanted wolves to do a Nottingham forest and not care about breaches of ffp and spend - as at that point no one had been given points deductions - which is dangerous
And looking how things turned out for Everton and forest, they were right to tell Lopetegui no.
Lopetegui himself has never explicitly said what happened, he has always been vague.
That wont happen in West Ham, Moyes brought in useless players he wanted like Philips who lasted one game.
Let's hear it. I like this yout by the way. He runs a good channel. He knows the coo. I want to see if he is genuine. let's hear it. Lopetegui..
I am looking forward to next season
Hey Anton/Russyb what happened to old school hammers this week?
budgie's on a break - back as usual next week (although he may do something at the weekend)
Wolves fan-- Dave forever the diplomat

He needs to be empowered next season, or its not gonna work.
