To paraphrase what CellSpex said in her review of Apology Tour both Blitz and Stolas both suffered through similar traumas while growing up and want to be loved and accepted but have no idea how to do that correctly thanks to having terrible dads and what society told them what they could only be.

This is a great analysis of this relationship, and relationships in general. I've always felt that the Stolas/Blitz pairing has always been really toxic and am glad it wasn't just fixed in one episode. Blitz needs to grow for himself before he can give to a relationship. This episode is a good step in that direction. That being said, I don't think Stolas is blameless. He doesn't understand the power dynamic as much as he says he does. I think giving Blitz the freedom of not being tied to grimoire was a great gesture to get that power dynamic smaller, but with his title and status, there is way more to it than just the sexual transaction. I completely understand why Blitz thought it was Stolas throwing him away. I think a conversation needed to happen before the full moon and crystal gift.
I am invested in Stolas being happy and Blitz healing, and I'd be okay if that meant them not being a couple by the end of the show. But I want to see both sides heal before they even think about going back in that direction.

As a 100% Blitz. His depiction and actions in relationships is basically identical to me. I promise the 10:15 was not manipulation. I've done this and i was crying and asking him to not come back to me. The relief i felt when i recently saw him with his wife and kid was amazing. He's happy and I know i could have NEVER given him that.
Blitz is hyper aware of his issue and he only stays long enough with a person until they get attached. He craves love, but is also VERY AWARE that each one of his partner can do better. He thinks in his head he deserves "discounted" love. Someone who uses him, hurts him, abuses him because he TRULY in his head believes thats what he deserves. Real love causes him pain. Which sounds stupid, but its true.
I don't think Stolas and him should get together. My ex was Stolas and he's doing so much better without me while im barely scratching the surface of healing. Blitz needs A LOT of time to fix this. It's not a few therapy sessions it takes years and there's still no guaranty you'll heal. I have NO IDEA what kind of 180 Viv has to do to make this relationship work, because to me - as a Blitz - im hoping she lets Stolas get someone healthier.

I must be so fucked in the head, but I don’t want them together because I feel like Blitzø deserves better. He deserves to have a fresh start with someone who wasn’t a John who held a disproportionately huge amount of power over his head. He deserves to enter into a relationship with someone who sees - and *treats* - BlitzØ as their equal.
They are both flawed… but I think Stolas has way more fault than most people seem to think he does.

The truth is that love is not complicated but the emotions or experiences surrounding your life or your partners are complicated. Love is simply a building of respect that transitions into love through emotional understanding whether the person has sympathy or empathy in terms of expressing yourself while your emotions or experiences vary. For relationships there are three outcomes that happen which are the relationship that starts good and gets better, the relationship that starts poorly and gets better over time, and the relationship that starts great but gets worse over time. Catradora and Stollitz is that examination of the relationship that starts good but gets worse over time but Stollitz handled it better so far though that depends if by the end of the series Stollitz ends up being romantic which ultimately is not the best choice for either characters. I also believe it is hard for some people in toxic relationships to realize or critically think about those decisions because they are wrapped up in wanting the relationship to succeed through focusing on why instead of understanding how or what it actually takes to make a relationship better for both parties. Add to the fact that some people in toxic relationships don't like wanting to be friends in order to set boundaries or leave the relationship if it gets too toxic because to them it feels like giving up. It's only if they start to focus on how a relationship can succeed or be healthy do people who fall for toxic relationships can actually heal.

Stolas is the one who's made everything pretty damn hypersexual honestly... when Blitz has a panic attack in Seeing Stars, the only comfort Stolas can give him is "you're good at sex". Stolas doesn't actually love Blitz, he loves the idea of Blitz. He offered Blitz the choice to stay or go, and got upset when he didn't get an immediate yes. Frankly, with the actions Stolas has done throughout the series, I find him the more toxic one between him and Blitz because Stolas forced a transactional relationship for at least several months. No amount of crying and sad songs can undo what is essentially coerced sex with someone who really didn't want it. They're definitely gonna get back together at some point... but I don't think they should.

We need Blitzo and Stolas' relationship to be full of tension to maintain suspense and interest in the stories. The classic example of what happens when you close the kid on the romantic tension is when Tony married Angela on 'Who's the Boss?' The show ran long and was popular, but when they married the two main characters, the spark that held audience interest fizzled out.
What I can't figure out is not why anybody wold want to have sex with Blitzo in the first place - it IS Hell, after all - but there is about Blitzo that would inspire any genuine feelings in another sapient being. But Stolas x Blitz has to stay unresolved in order to keep the show going.
And am I the only one who has noticed there hasn't been much Professional Incorporated Murdering going on, lately?
