    You must be a secret agent for Scottish Tourism? How beautiful was Gylen Bay? I think this is your best produced video to date.

    Hello Bob!
    A really epic Kajakadventure! Super nice pictures, wonderful music and a very good story-teller! And the best thing is: I can understand even though my English is so bad.
    I love that Paddling- Film!
    Always good luck and a little spirit of freedom,
    Thomas from Germany

Really enjoy your adventures Bob. Long may you continue to showcase this beutiful part of the planet. Cheers....Peter

    As part of my geological degree I had to map the rocks of an area. I chose Kerrara, and spent 4 weeks on the island in 1978. The scenery is wonderful. Something that you missed out on, so are the people.

    Mull is my favourite part of the Country. We ended up going there off the back of Gordon Buchanan's Eagle Island when it was shown on BBC 2 in 2005. It was in Scotland I was first properly introduced to Kayaks, the sit on kind. Last year was the first time I took my own sit on top to Mull, and this year was my first time kayak surfing and paddling along the south coast in either direction of Uisken Bay seeing the Geology and some of the wildlife made me change my mind from getting an open top canoe to getting a Sea Kayak. I would love to have gone for a Composite boat, but my weight and cost was a factor against then the former more than the later, as I looked at a few secondhand ones online and then checked the Manufactures websites for specs. I really fancied the idea of paddling over to Colonsay Island, but not on my Sit on top. So I now have a Touring/Sea Kayak, more the former due to it being just under 15', and I am just waiting to get my car back from the Garage so that I can take it out on a local river to get used to it. Then later on start attending courses so that I am safe on the water. Even though I have been in good size swells and even tried Kayak Surfing and feel comfortable on the water, having a narrower boat and not having been in a Canoe as we used to call them, for soon to be forty years.
    Watching your Videos of your Sea Kayaking Adventures is making me want to explore more of the Hebrides.

      Excellent, sea kayaking opens up so many unique trips and places to visit. As you say, get your skill and knowledge up to the right level and then you can explore anywhere. Enjoy your adventures!!

    At 60 the expeditions in harsh conditions were doable. At nearly 80 it is enjoyable to watch a more mellow expedition and know that it isn't over yet.

    • @getwet501
      @getwet501  Год назад +2

      Thanks, yea its a super trip. I use a mouth mount, i find it easy to turn camera on and off, keep the lens free from droplets etc and lets me pan around as I paddle to give some variety to the shot. I also think it gives a slightly better angle of view that a head mount. Only disadvantaged is that the camera is loose on its tether when not in use, only a problem in challenging conditions, but I can stuff it in my BA when i need to. Cheers
