I cook your food almost daily - your appreciation and enthusiasm for your recipes comes through so much on your videos and it's contagious!! Garlic chicken and masala chicken are on my list this week along with your spicy cauliflower and red onions which I'm serving with cumin potatoes - those potatoes are the best! Apart from podi potatoes as they're amazing too 😂 omg and the parathas too!!
I noticed you don't have much of a roll when you use your knife. The blade comes straight down. Have you ever tried a Santoku knife? Works really well for me. Much less smile in the shape of the blade versus what you are using now.
My 4yo son just asked 'is she real?' and then said he wanted to go to your kitchen because he has made a picture for you 🤭 I said we couldn't go to your kitchen but that he might be able to send you the picture! What's the best way for him to get it to you?
I made a curry tomato soup the other day. It had onions, potatoes, the spices and canned tomatoes. I forgot that they were whole tomatoes, so i used an immersion blender and made tomato soup.
Mouth is watering, just subscribed will certainly try this and honestly no lie as I'm typing this my belly just rumbled 😂. Just a question do you not remove the whole spices at some point the cardamoms, kashmiri chillis etc?
@@FoodwithChetna Hello again, just a question if I can't find kashmiri chillis from anywhere then are alt chillis ok like thai chillis are the ones I have. Cheers.
Love the recipes. Just the faff of picking out the bay leaves, cardamom and cloves at the end as they’re not pleasant to eat. Also love the flavour bone-in chicken thighs impart, but don’t want to fight my food to eat - would have to cut the bones out and mix back in. Thanks for the lovely recipes though. One Q - can I use tinned tomatoes at this time of year as fresh are not really environmentally sustainable locally and not in season right now in the UK?
I notice that you always cut up fresh ginger and garlic, but I have also heard that most Indian families use store bought ginger-garlic paste. Do you think one is better than the other?
I LOVE the fresh garlic and ginger. All my family and friends in India use fresh, I have only seen more people in the UK use ready pastes and they always taste a bit chemically to me.
Agreed fresh is best, but its always good to have some cheat ingredients when in a real hurry. Those boxes of frozen chopped garlic or ginger you can get from the supermarkets are good.
Mums curry is a bit more milder than this due to the addition of a lot of yogurt. Chicken handi is similar but you will notice a little flavour difference between the 2.
@@FoodwithChetna Thanks for the quick reply... 12 minutes WOW Love all your recipes, I'm cooking Pheasant which I will soak in milk to make it less "gamey" so just deciding which one to go for, I want it to be very tasty not necessarily HOT
I'm my opinion for people to follow you, the recipe needs to be easily available, and it isn't. Watch a Jon Pierre video - you scroll down and there's the recipe. You'll have many more followers that way.
Those whole spices see unpleasant when eaten whole, it might better to grind the masala to a fine paste in tbe mixer grinder, before adding the chicken

Is the only way to get the recipe by jotting down the info while we watch? It’s not written anywhere?
Funny!! :If you haven't subscribed yet iv no idea what your waiting for: lol ❤ great show thanks.
😂😂😂
Hi Chetna 🤗 can I suggest turning your microphone up the other way when you clip it to a collar like that. Your a bit muffled 😁
Thanks for the tip
Sounds delicious my only concern is biting down on the whole spices you used.
you can remove them while putting in the serving plate.
I notice that you always cut up fresh ginger and garlic, but I have also heard that most Indian families use store bought ginger-garlic paste. Do you think one is better than the other?

how does this compare to your "mums curry" or "Chicken Handi" ?
Mums curry is a bit more milder than this due to the addition of a lot of yogurt. Chicken handi is similar but you will notice a little flavour difference between the 2.

Please leave the chicken fat in, nothing wrong with it...

You're not supposed to eat the whole spices, they add flavour to the base of the dish.
I noticed you took the chicken from a white plastic bag. Don’t you wash your chicken before cooking?
We don’t need to wash our chicken in the UK, not to mention it’s dangerous
Looks so good. I will have a try at this one!
enjoy
