Original complementary looks better overall, though I am jealous of certain features like accurate cloud shadows, adaptive light rays, cave fog, and accurate water caustics
To help with the lagg, you can use a mod called fps reducer. It reduces your frames when you are not using minecraft

0:35 This could be depended on mulitple factors. for starts, Minecraft taking up the entire CPU during boot. if your main harddrive is a HDD and not a SSD then the reading process could be laggin you out.
Also, so much easier to set up modded Minecraft with the prism launcher, love that thing!

Using these as my base and adjusting to fit my tastes! I personally find your white brightness too high in snowy biomes and deserts and beaches so have turned that down for myself. Great vid. Keep it up!

I will add in a few tidbits. Complementary Sharders are now 2 Different shaders.
They have Unbound, Unbound is a completely new look for minecraft, it is not in anyway meant to look like vanilla Minecraft.
Then they also have Reimagined which, as the name suggest, Is vanilla inspired,so it will look more akin to the default minecraf experience but.. better
So try any of these 2 they are actively worked on!
Also, if you want to try more advanced lighting and shadows in your world without using Raytracing, you have Voxel Shader. I cant remember if this on is paid or not, but they do some snazzy stuff with their lighting engine as it is based on Voxel Lighting techniques.

Also the glowing ores setting seems to work with most texture packs even if the texture pack does not have it by deafualt
if you are talking about the lag when you launch the game try theses things : run minecraft as administrator, compatibily for minecraft in properties: windows 8,if the game opens directly in fullscreen then disable the option in properties of optimazition in fullscreen ,in setting windows there is game mode and setting put the launcher of the game that you find in appdata as maximum usage of performance and then open cmd as administrator and write Chkdsk and restart the pc !

That launch issue you are experiencing normally happens with older versions for me. Its weird your having this issue on the newest version. What are your pc specs?

As a ps5 player seeing videos like this make me wanna get a pc so bad😂not even just w minecraft but just any game rlly having all these mods available especially for survival games and strategy games make games so much more fun and for most part dont have to deal w all the console war exclusive games since alot of ps and xbox exclusives eventually get added to pc from what ive seen

Hey, do you use anything to make your leaves look better? Mine are kinda ugly with the outline
0:35 short answer Java. Long answer, having a really fast SSD makes the problem less prone. Switching to a different launcher will solve it and the mods Ferrite and FPS reducer can get it fix. Ferrite loads a bunch of stuff at once which is much much easier on the CPU and well FPS reducer well does not produce frames no one needs.

The reason your pc lags when you launch minecraft is most likely due to you playing it in fullscreen as when you do it takes much longer to full screen itself

I'm having trouble downloading all of them, whenever I open Minecraft it says to replace Minecraft 1.20.4 with any version between 1.20.5 and 1.20.6 and to remove the Iris mod. I feel like I did something wrong but I don't know what.

continuity won't let you use vanilla tweaks texture packs (idk why)
instead of telling us what settings to choose, u can just add the text file for ur settings in the description so we can download it and put it in the shaders folder

idk why but the entities like villagers, sheeps, chicken etc dont have shadows. Do someone know why?
There's a setting called entity shadows, just turn that on. I noticed this myself however forgot to add it to the video.

How do I get this to work with the Create mod? I get an error that Create mod cant run Sodium version.
When I set it up for create I had to get very specific versions of each mod (fabric, sodium, etc.) I believe in the first or second episode of the series in the comments I listed what mods I used and their specific versions!

Thats because you use mods meant for Minecraft version 1.19.3. So you need to update your mods for 1.20.4.
