INSTALLING WHEEL SPACERS | 1976 K5 CHEVY BLAZER

  • No idea what wheel spacers are? Join the club! Back in the day Chevy had the wheels in the back closer together than in the front. For someone like Jesse, this bugs the crap out of him! He's all about those straight lines.
    We picked up these wheel spacers off Amazon for $50 or so and slapped them on. It's a subtle change (that honestly most people wouldn't even notice) but a super fun, cheap upgrade for us.
    As always, thanks for watching, liking, and commenting. We appreciate your support!

    You 2 are so stinking adorable! Years ago(I'm talking 46) we had a Nova.The front tires were so big,if you didn't turn a corner just right,you'd have to reverse a bit and try again 😉. Boy oh boy,we thought we were so cool,lol.Brought my first baby home in that car! Yikes, I'm old🤣! Fun to see your projects!🤗hugs from Missouri.

    I just put a Napa steering box on my blazer and it was worse then before, after a little research I found out that they started buying gheif gear boxes from china so I returned it and got a redhead steering box and what a huge diffeeence and the price was almost the same

    You need to put longer wheel studs on the truck and get a centering ring. Those nuts or only on the studs halfway, ask me how i know your wheel will fall off...

      Time will be the true test but so far they work perfectly. They fit just right, ride smooth, and give me the look I want. They’re very light weight and easy to install. I’d give them 5 stars.

      Good way to kill a ratchet. Harbor Freight has 4-way lug wrenches, and impact wrenches.

    You should go with some 15x12 wheels and they will look better and stick out without the spacers. Those are the wheels I always ran on 4x4 square bodies.

      They came with it when I bought it. I’ve since sold the Blazer and don’t recall the brand. Sorry I couldn’t be of more assistance!
      They worked out fine for me in the short time I drove around with them. I ended up realizing that 2 inch spacers on each side in the back is what I needed to make it even with the front.

    Are your wheels 15x10?

  • @TheFatguyzinc
    @TheFatguyzinc 2 года назад +1

    no offense, but aluminum spacers on a 5000 pound truck?
    thats a given "no-no". and lets not even get into how its going
    to kill your wheel bearings... i have a K5 as well, though ive
    swapped 8 lug axle is it had the same 'too short' rear end look.
    i ran custom 8 lug staggered 15x12 rear and 15x10 fronts
    (same tires) and ground caliper slightly to fit 15" rim.
    it brought it close to even--and zero strength/safety issues.

    • @willzbillzfam
      @willzbillzfam  2 года назад

      Totally. Your way is much better of course but more expensive than our hack. We never had an issue with the spacers but then again, we had to sell it because we were moving out of state :( Will take your advice into consideration on the next K5 we buy 👍
