@@ericthedude9457 Thanks so much for learning with me. I'm working away on the TX Part 2 Deep Dive and hope to be able to get it filmed and edited soon. Thanks for hanging in there with me.
Month 6 of driving my TX 500h FSport... After 30 years of driving Lexus (ES, GS, LS, GX, LX) I can officially say, that the TX is probably the BEST vehicle Lexus has ever built or I have ever owned. And yes, I traded in my new LX for the TX... Best decision I ever made. Without a full review, the TX is simply "more" of the positive things for substantially "less". So value is through the roof. This tutorial taught me features I did not know I had or how to use... I can't wait for part 2. Again, this vehicle is amazing. Thank you for the tutorial and Thank you Lexus for a great vehicle!
Thank you so much! Great to hear that you're enjoying your TX! And I'm very happy to help you learn all about it. I'm trying to squeeze in any spare moment to film and edit part 2 for everyone. Thanks for staying tuned!

This video is awesome🎉🎉👍🏻👍🏻Just ordered my TX350 last month. This video has saved me a lot of time to dig through hundreds of pages of the owner’s manual. Cant not wait for the part 2😆
Thank you. When I inquired with my delivery specialist about the tailgate reset function, he informed me that unfortunately, we couldn’t reset it. He explained that we had to push it all the way up to restore it to its default setting. I was quite surprised and thought it was ridiculous. I’m glad your video was helpful. I’ve shared it with him as well, so he’s now aware of the issue.
You made my day! This is high praise! Ms. Rachel is the BEST! And if you've seen my silly holiday hijinks videos, you know I can sing (kind of ;) But not to worry, I won't start making technology tutorial songs anytime soon. LOL! Thank you for being here to learn with me!
This is an awesome video! Super informative! The multiple profile along with memory seating has given us some confusions. Can’t wait for Part 2 when you can break it down us is more! Thank you!
Thanks so much for tuning in! I am still chipping away at filming and editing in any spare time I can get. We have been so busy at the store with the GX launch, but I am working on part 2 for the TX as much as I can. I really appreciate your support! In the meantime, add your additional driver profile from the main settings screen (make sure you don't select to make them the primary, but you should select the phone as their "primary device" when you are pairing for Bluetooth and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto). Then make sure to link the selected key for each profile, and save the driver position memory for each profile. I like to save the primary to button #1 (on all profiles) and the secondary to button #2 (on all profiles). This will mean that no matter which profile is active on the car, the seat memory buttons will really the position you want. The way the designers programmed the seat memory function is really confusing. I have also noticed that the seats will not move automatically when you are changing from profile to profile. You always have to press the button. Even when the profile changes correctly :( We have given a lot of feedback to Lexus about this and hope they change it in the future, but hopefully these tips will help you for now. Thanks very much for being here!
Thank you so much! I was able to spend a LOT of time editing at home over the weekend so I am getting very close to having Part 2 for the TX ready for everyone. Finally ;)
Just got my TX plugin hybrid, waiting for part two !👍 Do you know how long does it take to recharge the battery when you are in the Charge mode on the highway? Thanks one more time!
Congrats on your new TX plugin hybrid! So exciting to see those on the road now! I haven't been able to drive the PHEV TX since they are usually presold when they arrive :( Thank you for checking in with me!
Not yet. I am still chipping away at filming and editing in any spare time I can get. We have been so busy at the store with the GX launch, but I am working on it as much as I can. I really appreciate your support!
The video is very comprehensive, and I have learned many new things that I didn't know on my TX. Thank you again! I have a 12.3" gauge cluster. There are 3 customizable gauge clusters. Is it possible to use Meter Type 1 for gauge cluster#1, Meter Type 2 for gauge cluster#2, and Meter Type 3 for gauge cluster#3? Or the 3 customizable gauge clusters have to be on the same Meter Type? Thanks.
Hi! The Meter Type selection is universal, but you will notice that as you move through Page 1, 2 & 3 there are some visual changes no matter which Meter Type you've selected. I hope this helps. Thanks very much for tuning in with me!
The app permissions and account setup are required for the Remote feature to work, even with the key fob. So if you choose to use the key fob only, and the DCM on the car goes to sleep due to lose of account connection or the connected services subscriptions expiring, you will need to sign back into the app to refresh the connection. If it ever goes to sleep to the point that the SOS button light turns off completely, you will need to contact Lexus to have them send a new signal to the vehicle. I hope this helps to explain it. Thanks for being here!
Hi! Lexus does not have a walk away and auto lock feature for the vehicle other than the Walk Away Close and Lock button on the power back door. That is programmable. The only other auto lock possibility, is if you unlock the car but do not open a door. Then it will RE-lock the car. But once you open a door you have to lock the vehicle after your drive.

Hi! That is definitely my plan. I have one partially edited, but my schedule got so booked up with training new associates that I am just getting back to videos after a long delay. I will be working on TX Part 2, RZ, 2023 LS & then 2024 LS changes. I have a lot of videos to catch up on. And now the 2025 UXs are already out. Oh my! I wish I could just do videos all day, but unfortunately it is not my actual job. LOL ;)
Can you custmize the steering wheel buttons (HUD version steering wheel) so that the audio buttons are on the right side?? I already tried the customize vehicle then steering switch section but the customize options are limited and NO audio on the rightside, am I missing something?
Hi! The only customization that are available are shown in the Steering Switch list you are mentioning. It seems like the audio, phone & voice command functions are designated to be on the left side only. Thanks for checking in about it.
The video is very nice. I have a question that I couldn't find an answer in that owner's manual. My TX is equipped with a regular optical mirror. There are only 3 homelink buttons and no other buttons. How do I turn off the anti-glare(auto dim) rear mirror/side mirror feature? Appreciate your help.
Hi! Unfortunately, they actually have removed that button. It is now only an auto dimming mirror with no option to turn it off, even for that drive. I'm sorry I don't have a better answer for you :(
Another question that I have is on the side mirrors autodim. Is it true that only the driver's side mirror can autodim? My passenger side mirror does not dim at all. And I have noticed the mirror construction on the driver side is different from the passenger side. Thank you again.
That's correct. A few years ago they started adding auto dimming on the driver's side mirror only. As you pointed out, the mirror surface does not have the outline around the edge that indicates auto dimming. This is a change that seems to be applied to many models across the line up. It would be a great question for Lexus, but my guess is that as they have added so many safety features as standard equipment, they have had to remove or make optional, features that used to be standard to keep the cost of the vehicles in the proper price range. But I don't work for Lexus headquarters, so I can't be sure.
I sure wish we had that. Unfortunately, at this point none of the Lexus models have a auto locking feature after a door has been opened. There is an auto relock timer, but that only works if you unlock the car and then don't open the door for an extended period time. It will relock. But if you open a door to load things or go for a drive, it will not lock itself after you exit the vehicle. Thanks so much for checking in.
Hi! If you have an AWD version of the TX, then it is full time All Wheel Drive and the system will adjust based on traction and wheel slippage. There is also a Trail Mode button that can help if you are on an off-roading type of surface. I hope this helps. Thanks for checking in.
Thanks so much. I'm still filming and editing Part 2. I will update the description with the link as soon as I have it. They take a long time for me to make them since I do this in my spare time between my normal job responsibilities. But I'm working on it as quickly as I can. Sorry to keep ya waiting. Hi! That's a customizable feature. It can either close and lock right away or have the 30 second delay. When you are in for your next Service appointment make sure to ask them to change the setting for you if you preferer the other operation. They will need to plug in the computer to make that customization. :) Thanks for checking in!
Hi! You can add the new driver and when you see the box to check for make Primary, check that box and proceed with Profile setup. It will remove the current Primary driver and the new profile will be primary. Make sure to add the VIN to the new driver's app and setup all of the connected services. Hope this helps :) Thanks for tuning in!
