I drove this and the rx, imo the rx suspension is better tuned with less secondary movements yet still comfortable. Might pick one up when they do a refresh and can sort out the damping and add triple beam headlights.
Excellent review. Enjoyed the commentary that stated what we needed to hear. Not the 9th degree chatter that tells us what the keys are made of :) Great job. Actually this is the review that has me wanting to strongly consider this 500h F Sport. Well done!
If you don't want to plug it in all the time but get better mileage than all gas, it is worth it. I'd also have to upgrade my panel at home to install a charger, would cost me $3k.
@@Motorheaddoc They all (GH & TX) have CVTs so that's off the table as a determinate. The base model may have an AT, but nobody is buying that. The lack of the pano roof is, to me, a benefit. Long ago, I took AlTrak on my Toyota Previa just to avoid the hole in the roof. Adaptive suspension is a long term reliability cost liability. Nobody who has reviewed a 550h+ has complained about the ride vis a vis the others with it, quite to the contrary, the say it's exceptional. The fact this a vehicle this large only seats six is another complaint I read frequently. Again, not a factor for me. Therefore, imo, it is the hidden gem.

Like this no nonsense review, youtube car reviews are a meme at this point

Nice review!
Thanks, Vito!

Glad it was helpful!
If you had to pick between this and an X5 40i or X5 50e plug in which would you pick for the price?
Two things: the front calipers are a 6 pot and the ML system has 21 speakers.
All very nice but also very tame and I'm sure you feel the same. What I want to see is your video on a Range Rover Sport SV Edition One. SOON!
Oh, yea…I love that V8!
Great suv! Love my TX. Everything you said was on point.
Glad to hear it!
Definitely purchasing this vehicle, thanks for the review
No problem 👍
Big fan of your review! Great personality, good job.
Much appreciated!
Why you don’t recommend incognito exterior?
I think it’s a fad and won’t age well
I wonder why would one get this 500h over the 500h+, irrespective of price...

What spare tire it has
There is a full spare tire under the 3rd row seats!
I think the hidden gem is the plug in 550h+ with the V6. I'm guessing Lexus won't make too many of those for CAFE reasons, so better it stay hidden.
I don’t think so. The loss of adaptive suspension, no pano roof, and a CVT at 83k usd is not great.

You did nothing different than other reviewers. Nothing.
That entire intro was unprofessional.
You're "that guy" now, good job.
I did, but you missed it. I am “that guy”. Thanks for stopping by, please be sure to exit through the gift shop!
really they don't actually drive it? Liar liar! every car reviewer that i've seen actually drive cars!
I don't remember what I said, but I will say there is "driving" and then there is driving.
HIDDEN GEN
Bad start. Trashing others
Sorry you didn't appreciate it.
still looks like a minivan. No thanks.
Go buy the gx 550 then
Underwhelming vehicle & review.
We can always talk about nonsense like celebrities in our reviews, if that's what you prefer. Just kidding.
@@BrianMakse not a good way to get more viewers, bud. should just shut up and not respond. your entire intro was distasteful
@@Nathdoodand yet here you are!
