- Child's Play 2 (1990) First Time Watching Movie Reaction, Review, and Commentary for JL. Many times wondering how a two foot doll can be THAT much of a menace and a couple moments of celebration seeing horrendous teachers FAFO were had.

Brad's best performance as the character in my opinion, he actually gave him self an aneurysm performing one scene.
Whoa! I didn't know this. You wouldn't happen to remember which scene would you?
@normanreviewsgames698 the scene where he goes into doll making machine if memory serves.
@@PaulSchneider-qp1mu I have not heard that trivia, thanks for sharing. I would have guessed it occurred during the scene where he tears his hand out from under the gate as I always thought that was an especially tortured gnarly scream. Brad D. is the best!
Aneurysms often have no symptoms until they rupture. Scary deal.
@paulschneider-qp1mu I agree! I believe the first 3 Chucky movies were the best... I still enjoy the others but it didn't get kinda scary again until Curse & Cult of Chucky.
the TV show is pretty ok. hopefully we get another movie soon.
Fun trivia: The eyes that were taken out of the burnt Chucky doll's head were repurposed for the Cryptkeeper puppet, for the Tales From the Crypt series. So the Cryptkeeper has Chucky's eyes.
That is so cool! I had so much fun watching Tales From the Crypt and the Child's Play movies, I had no idea that they were connected like that
thats rad
I didn't know that. How did you find out.
My favorite Chucky line of all... "Now park this piece of shit" 😂😂😂
“Put your arms behind the seat.. “what?!” .. do it!!!!” 😂🙃
“Chucky’s legs be throwin’ up gang signs.” That killed me 😂 I’m team Andy, I always feel so bad for him lol
"You've been very naughty, Miss Kettlewell!"
Fun Fact: Theatrical film debut of Christine Elise and Adam Wylie.
Christmas Movie Fact: Don Mancini stated that in an early draft of his script, the film was set during the Christmas season; this would have explained why so many Good Guy dolls were in the factory during the finale.
Movie Magic Fact: Phil's death was achieved with a classic "The Reverse Pull" film trick. Essentially, actor Gerrit Graham would begin the shot already in his death position, then be pulled upwards out of frame by a rope tied around him. The footage was then played backwards, creating the uncanny illusion of his neck breaking.
Written Out Fact: There were many rumors about why Catherine Hicks didn't reprise her role as Karen Barclay in the sequel with the popular being that she was pregnant by her husband Kevin Yagher who operated the animatronic Chucky doll, but the simple fact was that the director John Lafia wanted to take the story in a new direction. A direction that didn't include her character aside from a unfilmed opening courtroom scene that had her be sent to a mental institution. Despite not reprising her role, she was constantly on set for the sequel to visit her husband.
"Chucky'll be on somebody's neck, and his feet'll be throwing up gang signs." Nuff said, bro! 🤣🤣🤣
For the people who are mad that he’s watching movies u don’t like well guess what u don’t have to watch his reaction no need to complain about something that u have control over don’t watch that reaction. I don’t get how people complain on twitter or RUclips in general about movies u didn’t like y’all act like these movies harm y’all in some way. There are movies I don’t like I don’t cry about it on social media I keep it moving.
Or someone will comment "I don't like that." Really? You went through all the hassle of commenting to say that?
People got to complain just to complain. I love you and your channel. I support y’all even if I don’t care for the movie. ❤
💯
Exactly... When I start my reactions I will stay away from negative comments.
Spoken very nicely, J.
If I don't care to watch a reaction to a movie/TV show I don't like... I just don't watch the reaction. Not about to go attacking anyone for their choice. 😁👍
Same I'm utterly opposed to the new little mermaid film but this is the first time I've posted about it in a reactions comments, I just don't watch the ones for that then when the reactor posts something else I watch the content I'm interested in. Its not my channel, they're not me and while I have every right to post my feelings about a film, its not my right to tell someone else what they do or don't post on their channel. Especially for things like reactions where everyone is going to have different tastes and what I hate may be their favorite film and vice versa.
Mad respect man. I love that unapologetic response. Hell yeah, you keep doing you, sir!
Andy had an eLectric carving knife...its used to carve things like ham, roasts and turkeys
These movies are just fun! Glad you not listening to haters. You guys could watch anything and I’m HERE for it ALL! ❤
The guy killed with the eyeball machine always stuck with me since I was little.
I slowly started to appreciate all the 90s chucky movies when the new chucky series began.
The tangent about a Ray Charles doll sent me rolling, it sounds like one of my random thoughts, lol
I loved the part when you said when he gets to heaven he's going to be embarrassed when they tell him he was killed by a good guy doll
You are one of the best reactors. You can watch a blank screen and make it entertaining. Keep up the great work.
Andy's going to be the only 12 year old with a thousand yard stare. 😳
the reason why chucky was turning human faster is cause the head of the original body is part of the second body, think of it like a transplant of a organ that rapidly adjusts to the body
I don’t care if the movies are trash, the reactions and commentary are golden and why I keep coming back!
Imagine having nothing better to do than complaining about free entertainment...
Bless their hearts.
Ray Chucky playing a piano made of human skin is nightmare fuel
That must be the best introduction I've ever heard. Much love man!
I think chucky was the most angry in this film than any other. The next one Andy is a teenager, also played by another actor who looks very accurately how u could imagine Andy if he was grown and plays him just as well. But original actor who plays him in the first two comes back and is playing him again in the tv show, and again totally believable enough, where u can imagine that's still the Andy from the third movie even though again that guy was played by a different actor.
Don’t listen to the Haters!
Preach. Even movies I dont like I still watch your reaction to because you make them fun.
Nothin but love, really diggin the addition of Slasher Saturday.
This is the most Chucky of all Chucky films! Charles Lee Ray is a Chicago goon!
*New Jersey Goon*
It is sooooo cool how you make it plain and put critics in their place! You offer me laughter, joy and you expect RESPECT.
At 23:00 that thing was the latest, hottest invention: the electric knife! Mostly used for carving the turkey. But it was pretty decent as a disability aid if you have weakness in your hands. You can still buy those, though they're a lot less common now that they're not the latest gadget.
Cartoons make the nightmares go away he is a true philosopher!!!!..... Until he started talking about ray Charles turning someone into a piano😂😂
Where do you think all the haunted pianos come from . . .
I don't know what those haters are talking about, you've been watching banger after banger
Chucky is creepier in this one. Love Andy & Kyle. Your reactions are great. xx
chucky's strength level in doll form changes with the plot. Most of the sequels change the "rules" of how he can be killed, come back, what he can do as doll, how/why he can body jump, etc.
This is my favorite of the series. The 3rd is really fun too.
Chucky is awesome, loved him since I was a kid. he never gets old, I thought it was neat that they made a series for him that is pretty good so far too it was nice having a throw back of the original cast.
huh, what network ?
@@BLACKxOPxPRExTARGET syfy and USA channel
@BLACKxOPxPRExTARGET they should also have it on here on RUclips it's chucky series there is 2 seasons so far the new season comes out in October sometime unless the strike gets in the way
thx for the info Jennifer. btw is that ur Birth dayr jenn. its mine lol
@BLACKxOPxPRExTARGET np and my birthday is March 1st 1988
Bro I luv how you bring life to each of these reactions towards these movies you choose to review from my childhood.
"Oh she been out ho'ing..."
Andy's mom and Sara Connor are now in the same place.
-Andy's mom: You don't understand the doll was alive.
-Sarah Connor: I believe you
-Andy's mom: Yes it was possessed by a serial killer through voodoo magic.
-Sarah in her mind: Oh God this woman is insane.🤦♀
Or alternatively. . .
Sarah: "Really do you think vodoo would work on killer robots from the future?" and now I want to see a film with a whole bunch of survivors all in therapy together telling each other about the various things they survived. They all believe each other because of their own experiences but the doctor doesn't believe any of them.
That last jump scare scream was amazing. 😂😂😂😂
I'm loving Slasher Saturdays! Thanks J and Blank 😃
We're still getting old, still saw this as a kid.
Lol after Chucky snuck on the bus, Andy looked like he was on the yard waiting on some shit to pop off..he really was stressed lol
It's an electric carving knife for roasts and turkeys. The blade would go back in fourth like a saw.
Ppl are petty I love seeing you and your babies and any and every movie you chosen you do you I'm here for it and love every minute of it ❤ here for the positivity and everything we doin over here 🎉
I was so excited you started this, I love horror movies.
When you saw Chucky under the bus...The look on your face was priceless...I laughed so hard.
Jenny Agutter was an actress in An American Werewolf in London. That how I remember her, though she did other things as well.
Great reaction J Man. "Listen" 😅.... No matter what movie you watch, it's still going to be a dope reaction bruh! Keep it up J and Blank!
I LOVE the selection y’all have picked. Even if they’re not my favs your commentary makes it hella fun to watch.
Hey brother, I recently have had some trouble with the law. And while I’m home and attempting to get through this. You have absolutely brought me much joy with your content and your comedic skills!! I want to personally thank you for everything that you do !! And please please don’t stop doing what you do my friend!! You have personally helped folks that you don’t even know like me!! Thank you!!
I’m glad you been enjoying and I’m glad i been able to help - J
J i just came on here to say, while watching this video that you sir do NOT have trash movies on your channel. i actually have been enjoying all the ones that have been coming out lately and the only ones i skip are the movies i havent seen yet myself, as i dont want to spoil them! trust me sir i have seen all the movie reactors, and have condensed my favorites into one tight-knit circle and sir you are in! that just means that i enjoy watching you sir and such a great way to unwind after work!! thank you!!
Andy he was holding a Hardheld Stainless Electric Meat knife
That was AWESOME. I'm loving Saturday nights.
You tell em off EOM!! Don't know who's telling you that your movie selections suck.. but they suck! lol.. All your choices are great! I know I sure love them!!
The best film in the series!
No More Mr. Good Guy!
With his mother in an institution following the events of the first film, Andy Barclay is under the care of his foster parents, and thinks everything will turn out great, but the little plastic psychopath, Chucky, comes back to get revenge on the boy who destroyed him, and those who stand in his way won't be so lucky.
I really hope S3 of the Chucky series deals with Andy's mother in some way. We already got his step-sister coming back, it'd be nice if his mother came back. But knowing the show they'd possess her with Chucky and/or Tiffany etc. But knowing how things are going with the strikes currently going on - we may never see new seasons of many of the shows on now.
The "You know Chucky from Detroit, beefing with a little kid" comment threw me I never laughed so hard xD
It's an electric carving knife for Thanksgiving turkeys.
Keeping watching what you want bro. All your stuff is dope. Much love
Caught a glimpse of this movie when i was about 5 y/o. Scarred me for years.
Growing up, the only Chucky movie I saw was Bride of Chucky in theaters when I was in like 8th grade or so, and remember thinking how stupid it was. I didn't see the first one until my 30s, and haven't seen the rest.
Maybe I should go and have a marathon of these one day.
His laugh though
😂😂😂
To me I always thought chucky missed his chance because I believe grace Poole was the person he needed to transfer to. I mean my reasoning always was he got a new body, and he told Poole that his name was Charles.
Will be here for your Point of View Man!
It's an electronic carving knife.
1990 JACOBS LADDER with TIM ROBINS please
you can pick what ever movie you like and i will always be a fan.
in fact i have watched you watch movies i have never watched myself
J should watch the Leprechaun movies once he finishes Child's Play. I think it'd be hilarious!
This movie is GREAT, but my favorite will still be Bride of Chucky, same as Brad Dourif.
Tiffany was dope 💯🤣
Definitely the funnest, most entertaining and comedic. I truly believe J will enjoy Bride of Chucky the best. Especially Tiffany, 💋 😅
The woman looks familiar because you saw her in an American Werewolf in London.
What andy was using was a electric knife, I've had one for years, they are most commonly used to carve a turkey. When you turn it on It's 2 knife blades that go back and forth quickly. Pretty smart for a kid his age!
The foster mother is my girl Jenny Agutter, you'd know her as nurse Price from An American Werewolf in London.
"Andy tryin to life " cracked me Up so bad
God damn that was funny..."I'd return him like the shirt dont fit, i promise you." Funny AF.
Pepto Bismol house 😂😂 I think those are actually a real thing too along with cars.
“Chucky is from Detroit.” 😂😂
READY FOR "BRIDE OF CHUCKY"!
@35:23 they tryna climb the rollers when there a perfectly none rolling cage/fence surrounding it to climb😂😂
I used to have all the Chucky movies when I was a kid and I would rewatch them over and over and force my friends to watch them too just to experience them with fresh eyes.
Now on to Part 3.
love this one. pretty great sequel. i actually re-watch this one more than the original
I been here a couple months. Dude you doing great. Love hanging with you. Keep it up.
House looks like a antique store
As a kid when I saw the doo doo chucky, it reminded me of the sauce in Hamburger Helper. Still can't eat it😂
Not sure if anyone else mentioned this but the foster mom is the nurse/love interest in An American Werewolf in London. That's probably where you recognized her from Brother J. 😃
CP2 is my favorite in the franchise. As usual, your commentary kept me entertained!
Get that blanket ready
"That's like being scared of someone in a Wal-Mart cart"😆😆
I like in this one we see chucky more interactive.
If you havent seen Child's Play 3, I recommend you continue the series
Oh, before I forget: Andy's foster mother (Jenny Agutter)looks familiar because she was the nurse girlfriend in American Werewolf in London.
8:15, she was in American Werewolf in London. "Hi David!"
Very solid sequel.
A slasher movie that nobody has reacted to would-be slasher high from the year 1986
I appreciate your channel watch whatever you want to watch ❤
I think the last installment in this franchise is either seed of chucky or cult of chucky.
Almost 50k subscribers right on Jay brother.
What I didn’t understand about Kyle was you saw him tied up, you knew you didn’t do it so who the hell did she think did? Even if she didn’t think it was the doll, clearly someone did this to him.
I love the child play films, they're so funny and scary. Chucky always scared me the most when I was a kid. I could handle Michael Myers and Jason, but not that damn doll.😅
Because Michael and Jason have no personality. I personally never been a big fan of either slasher. They are quite boring to me.
for some reason, this was my second most watched Chucky movie(behind 4). this’ll probably be the last “scary” one for you since, I feel, they kinda stopped focusing on Andy. not that that’s bad, I think they just couldn’t rely on the whole “is the doll alive?” shtick. still lots of jump scares, though. the opening is probably my favorite of the next three.
I mean they focused on Any in 3, but without spoilers, things changed way to much for the series own good imo. That being said, once we get to the "new" era after Child's Play 3 the series just became a comedy routine with good kills and a decent effects budget. Same as with the Nightmare series basically.
@@LordLOC I’m trying not to spoil anything for him.
@@davidmendez3899 I know
Jay,, one movie that no RUclipsr channel has reacted to wear to be big shots from the year 1987 please give that movie at try,! It's a very good heartwarming movie about two kids from the opposite side of the tracks come together and become friends to find one of their fathers
Andy, took an electric carving knife from the kitchen to use on chucky.
The woman who looks familiar played the nurse/girlfriend in American Werewolf in London .. if you were still wondering ❤
The first and second child’s play always creeped me out. Even as an adult I’m not over it. If I was her or Andy I probably would’ve still burned down the building and wouldn’t ever be able to sleep again. Thank you for this good reaction as always.
