What an amazing sequel chucky is still scary, Andy is starting to become a fighter, iconic kills, amazing third act, and gives us chucky in action pretty quick.
Chucky is alive because the doll was remade so like the spirit thing had did a reset. This happens is most of the Child’s Play films, he is always “brought back” for a certain reason whether it’s the doll remade or not. It’s a spiritual thing.
Honestly there aren't any plot holes in this movie, they pretty much explained everything well. He came back due to being rebuilt. The magic allows him to come back in a good guy doll so long as he's connected to it some how either directly or via the magic he has. The mom was out od the film because she was put away in the insane asylum since she backed the kids story of the doll being alive killing people....in real life Catherine Hicks the actress who played Karen Barkley didn't want to come back so thats why the writers wrote that into the Canon for chucky. Most fans of this series feel this is the best in the entire franchise but some do like the first more.
I think you guys need to rewatch the movie. The plot holes are actually minimal. This one did four things effective. 1 it explained y the mom wasn’t there and there was even a deleted scene that got destroyed because of a fire but it showed the mother getting sent to a mental institution because the police distanced themselves from coming to the mom’s aid because of fear of losing pensions. Hence the line in the movie that because it just the mother backing up Andy’s story they can’t hurt the toy company. The reason I say minimal is because I always felt that chucky no matter the time given wouldn’t have gotten out of the doll. Reason is because since it is a new body, even the workers mention they had to remake him head to toe, the rules had changed. To me the first person he tells his secret to in this film was grace Poole. She was the one chucky needed to transfer to. At least that’s my personal headcanon
How was it grace Poole tho? How did he end up telling Grace who he really was? She only mentioned that he was Charles because of was reported like the news and history etc like the newspaper article we see in the opening of bride of Chucky
Fun fact the eye at the end of the first movie was in the left side but for some reason they switched it for the other eye in this scene for some reason
He came back to life because they rebuilt him using the existing doll. When the machine stops before implanting his eyes, that was basically the work of the spell and when he forced into the doll, he reensouled the doll. It’s based off the old adage that the eyes are the windows of the soul.
I love that the good guy branding is all over this movie if you look closely Chucky uses a plastic bag with the good guy logo on it he uses a yardstick with good guys on it even a lot of the kids at the school and foster home are wearing good guy t shirts even the bully that messes with Andy which in my opinion makes sense why hes bullying him
His mom got put in a mental institution because they thought she was crazy. They said that in the beginning but I think you guys were talking and missed it.
6:06 His foster father suck, what do you mean it's only a doll, even if that were true, they are aware of history with the doll and that he has trauma surrounding it, including losing his mother to an mental health institution. It shouldn't be in the house, and they shouldn't disregard his fear.
Haha the guy in the beginning that was driving on the phone was actually cheating on his wife the 2 week anniversary was his girlfriend and that's why you see chucky sitting staring at him there's a deleted scene that explains everything 🤣he made 2 phone call actually telling his wife he's working late that night
I'm so glad you guys are doing this franchise chucky is a horror icon Child's Play 2 is my favorite in the whole franchise especially the toy factor scenes are my favorite
Thing is shooting the heart was enough to kill. But funny thing as long there enough of Chucky like say his skull or his blood. Someone or thing can accidentally or purposely bring him back.
In every movie or episode of the TV series, it's the same Charles Lee Ray, but different dolls I believe. It's all about the soul. but it seems to me that every doll is always restored, they always get restored but always come out differently slightly. But same ol Chucky and potty mouth lol.
They definitely don't make them anymore but my granny do have two electric knifes in her garage as a kid I used to pick them up not plug them in but I used to pick them up and think it was a small saw
One of my favorite horror movies but the thing that does get me is how he comes back to life every time but I do like the story across the movies except one does confuse me abit granted I've only watched that one like once so I might have to rewatch to get it but I'll talk about it more when/if you get to that movie

That's what I love about this sequel. More Chucky Action and Monologue. The 3rd one is more action packed and fun. Regarding if Chucky follows Andy throughout childhood, in the 3rd one he follows Andy as a teenager. It's very fun, you will see. And honestly, the whole HIM coming back to life randomly is something that gets to me too haha. I'm sure it has to do with him assembling him back. It must be a spirit thing. It’s my favorite. The best blend of scary Chucky with decent comedy. It has the best balance IMO. Some of them lean way to much on the comedy
