In each of the 12 months of 2024, we look forward to unpacking the 'Labours Of Love' digital series, full of materials from our personal archive, including never-seen-before demos, live recordings, images, videos, and more!
Starting on Friday the 12th of January 2024, we're releasing a new four-track digital EP on all major download and streaming platforms on every second Friday of every month. This will be followed by a documentary series via RUclips, with each Episode releasing on the last Friday of every month throughout the year.
Spanning across four decades, the twelve episodes of the series will give all Hue And Cry fans extensive access to behind-the-scenes content, for a full exploration into our memories from working together, performances, experiences, and most importantly, the music. We hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed making these treasured treats!

Remote was my soundtrack walking to work in Manchester. Been listening to it ever since. Under Neon being my favourite, invoking the gritty city landscape so beautifully. Thanks guys.

I absolutely love Remote, one of my all time favourite albums, the quality of the songs, the musicianship and vocals are soooo good, I was at the Cardiff St David's Hall gig, 30th April 1989 - it's still one of the best I've ever seen - looking forward to Tramshed and the full band, it's gonna be epic! Loving these films. I remember watching the promotional video for "Violently (Your Words Hit Me)" on Saturday morning telly and going out to buy the single that afternoon. I was 18 in 1988. I bought the 12" single some weeks later for the acapella version (how cool are Dave Preston's complementary vocals on that?!). Then I bought the "Sweet Invisibility" dance mix (which I prefer to the album version) before finally buying Remote. I played it to death. I'm going to have to get it out and play it AGAIN now!!

First Album I ever bought after hearing Oridinary Angel on the Radio. Immediately went back to Woolworths and bought Seduced and Abandoned. Been listening and buying every Album and Single (tracked down the ones I had missed in Record Stores) ever since. Can't wait for the new Album

Agreed. Not realising what it was about, and as a very shy and introvert young man with no experience with girls, I hoped one day I would meet a lady who would chip "away until some poor soul appeared/shivering, trembling and stumbling around, and [she would] bring me near." Love the guitar, love the chimes and trumpet, love Pat and Dave's vocals. And I've always loved the video. When I married my wife in 1993, it kind of became her song. We played it in the car as one of our songs in 2023.
