Nice driving! You did very well with a platinum medal. WSR is a really nice looking route, although is challenging with the annoyingly low speeds in places and a maximum of 25mph.
It is remarkably challenging keeping it under 25mph. I once got a penalty ticket and had to do a driving course or have penalty points on my driving licence for driving my car at 32mph in a 30mph zone in Wales so I've learned the hard way it's better to go too slow when driving too fast what ever it is lol
@@bluewizard Sorry to hear that! They really must have been bored that day! The worst areas for me on the WSR are around Dunster and Watchet where you have much lower speeds. Dunster in particular has a 5mph (from memory) which is really annoying. Because when you are approaching and stopping at the station (from Minehead), there is a bit of a grade which constantly makes you loose speed.
@@captainvladmir7535 Oh its definitely not just you! Its a hard route to drive for sure. Especially in a large steam or diesel loco which are really designed for express trains. Not max 25mph and in places down to 5,10, 15 mph! It is remarkable that they do this day in day out in real life!

I was glad he mentioned how tough it could be to stay under the limit. Was worried it was just me.😂

Ah yes, the route I described as "driving the mail trail to Hobbiton." Though to fully experience that vibe I suggest using the Fowler.
Noted. cheers
It's a pity they don't have a speed limiter on those trains, especially where the overall limit is so low! A great ride thanks!
It would make it a little too easy lol
