Haha, I thought of that in the first video and was like, "well he will definitely change the entrances/exits of the buildings". I saw so many people use this in their cities, so I kind of thought the mod is well known and kind of an essential, but I always forget that there is so much stuff on the workshop... I guess the only mods really everybody knows are Traffic Manager and Move it xD
In reality ,city planning in a western CBD ,elevated roadways are now avoided as they tend to create dark and uninviting living space in the longer term.Seattle,Boston and Melbourne are prime examples of that thinking today. It’s a bigger challenge in cities skylines to avoid elevated roadways.Designing a solution that incorporates modern thinking that also creates a better living environment is a lot harder. Entertaining job Sam.
Yes, there are also links that elevated roadways can lead to economic deprivation in the area because they cause seperations in communities. Also a lot of the ones built in the 70s are now having issues, the flyovers in Liverpool as an example all got torn down recently
10:30 You're already using the tools which remove crossing markers. Watch biffa's mod spotlight (city skylines channel) - i don't remember which exactly mod does that.
The port area looks amazing. The issue I see is the game itself. You put all those warehouses and immediately get flooded with trucks to really nowhere, otherwise there wouldn't be so many warehouses complaining of not enough goods. Meanwhile, your traffic is destroyed.
Inspired me to fix up my own docks because it was a mess. What is the name of the cool looking huge container storage asset, could not seem to find it in the asset list.
If you disconnect the single port from the industrial area roads and keep only the elevated road, the traffic generated by the industrial area will go to the twin ports, so the single port will only receive traffic from the elevated road and will be less saturated
Sam, I apologize because I am sure you have posted this somewhere before but I cant for the life of me find it. What are your computer specs? My computer is laggy as hell, and I want to buy a new one that can chew through 99% limits with no problem.
U can fix it with traffic managet but it takes time.. Sometimes they reset back to use one line and its a bitch chz then u have to do it again. But its doable
You're pretty much the only C:S youtuber that makes things that both *look good* and *actually function well*, I really enjoy that.
There is a nice mod that will let you swap the in/out points for things like the terminals. A real life saver :)
Wish I knew that 😅😩

Okay I need this mod, great looking out
Are we not going to talk about his AMAZING content! I’m going to send this channel to all my friends.
We can talk about it if you’d like bub.
10:40 use node controller to get rid of the crossing and expand the node out. This’ll allow you to put in lane markings that’ll look 10x better.

absolutely love this area. the way it looks and how it functions is super cool
Very much looking forward to timed traffic light discussions.
@0:21: This aerial view is beautiful! Nice job on this "hah-bah!" 👍🏽🙂
10:37 Node controller can fix this (along with intersection marking tool)
Since I'm a european, I would build a roundabout at the T-junction below the highway, and also in about 99% of the remaining intersections :D

What's the time point where you saw it?

use the node controller to expand , than fill in the intersection with the marking tool.
than?
Sam, thanks a lot for your amazing videos! Your vids are the reason I stopped playing Cities Skylines :)
Are the reason you stopped??
@@TransportofPerth I can't create so beautiful cities...

Please remove the styling from the links in the description. They are useless this way.

Can some on tell me how to effectively use taxis in vanilla cities skyline when ever I do it on one person uses a taxi a week compared to busses
Remove the buses and see if they use the taxis.
1:12 why is there a train just consisting of freight trucks
what road mod do you use
This game needs a ports DLC covering both air and sea
Oh, I missed traffic fixes :D

16GB and an i7 is the minimum you need for Cities Skylines + mods.
My least favorite thing about CS is how all the cars line up in the same lane, like there's 2 other options yet you choose to be stuck in traffic.
