Greetings again, Rick, from a fellow HD111 system wearer! Excellent video, and brother, you're right, it does look great. This unit looks a like the hair length is a little longer than some of the others I've seen you with. My stylist and I are still experimenting with the length I prefer, and lately I've been trying it at around 2", with a similar hairstyle to yours (I'm 62 years old). I'm a college professor and I find it looks neater, and a bit more conservative (not that I am particularly), for the school year. I go a little longer for the summer, which suits the ageing hippy in me. A couple of suggestions you might consider, (I continue to learn so much from you that I hope you won't mind): 1. I find that as careful as I am that I used to get some glue on my fingers. It was a real pain to get off, so I bought a big box of latex gloves and use one pair when applying the glue and then wiping the glue bottle down with some rubbing alcohol (that's what we call isopropyl up in the Great White North of Canada). I then put on a fresh pair to apply the system, and give the finger tips a little spray of the alcohol before I install the system itself. That way I avoid having hair stick to the little bits of glue I may have had on my fingers. 2. Before I brush my hair I use one of those really wide tooth combs to put it roughly into place. Then, using the brush, I smooth it out. Everyone has their own product preference after, but I find that a dab of L'Oreal 4mat does the trick to keep it in place all day. Anyhow, keep up the great videos. I'm sure they inspire new system wearers, and as a relatively experienced wearer now I still appreciate and learn from them. David p.s. I had a bit of a hair disaster myself the other day when the system fell off the manequin head after I had glue it. A few sections went into the glue but I patiently solvented and combed it back well. I thought of your previous video and took it all in good stride.

hey just wondering how often do you clean your thin skin HD111....I am using front lace system but considering switching to thin skin., though was told they only last a month. Any insight you can provide would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
@@Bk-pb8fz I remove my system every 4 days and clean it then. I use only glue around the entire perimeter and clean-up is so quick and easy it amazes me. I spray with C-22 and then use cotton makeup pads the wipe the glue off. It comes off in big glue balls. It usually takes me two passes around the system to complete the process. Then, I use some Dawn soap on the interior just to clean it off more. I wash the system and add conditioner then, let it dry a bit, and reapply. My systems easily last 12-15 weeks, though I think they could go longer.
Hair for men has come such a long way. For so many years when you saw a man with a hair piece or wig it was so obvious and just plain old looked bad. Your hair really looks good. A little bothersome with all the work involved but you look great. Plus, if I saw you out in public I would never know it wasn't real.
Sir your videos are amazing. Also very well explained. Love watching these. Because of you im going to take the plunge. If you could please tell me the exact model and hair color you have so i could get it thanks.
Rick uses the HD111 system, but it is recommended to color match to your own hair. There are many color options and grey percentages available, and finding the perfect match for you is key in having a natural look
I just recently purchased a piece from a big company I won’t mention. Mine is lace and they used tape with glue around the perimeter. The problem I brought up to them is you can visibly see the front seam which prevents me from styling bangs up. Is this normal or did they sell me junk. ( btw they measured and ordered according to my skin and hair color but when it came in it was black hair and wrong so they pulled one they had there already and convinced me it was better anyway )
It depends on your preference. Most people usually go for once every 1 to 2 weeks, but you can go up to a month if you want to, or remove it daily too.
I use walkers ultra hold glue and I get glue strands everywhere. On my clothes, my fingers, and even my hair piece itself. How do I apply walkers ultra hold to my M104 hairpiece without getting glue strands everywhere? I sweat a lot and I workout everyday, this is why I went with Ultra Hold. Is there something just as good or better with no glue strands to deal with?
Hello...Rick is wearing HD111 hair system (superhairpieces.com/mens-toupee-hd111-8x10-thinnest-skin-base-hairpiece-disposable/) with poly skin base of thickness of 4 mils (1 mil =1/1000 inch) V loop.
I seen a bar fight once when one guy had the other in a headlock and his hair piece came off. I first thought he ripped his scalp off. The dude picked up his wig and ran off
How much in and out is his actually getting you? It just seems like a lot of effort to keep this up every day. I have a pair of electric clippers and 5 minutes once a week.
Very great toupee. And the fact not being able to see the front border is awesome. What are the kind, length and density of hair ? If you can keep it a month before removing it, do you mean that you can then take shower without any problem ? Do you apply shampoo and conditioner every day ? As it is a poly base, this toupee is not breathable, right ? And as you scalp is oily as you say, don't you never meet any problem with sweat and bacteries for keeping it a few weeks ?
Hello @evasiondreams33762, Rick wears our super thin skin system HD111- www.superhairpieces.com/mens-toupee-hd111-8x10-thinnest-skin-base-hairpiece-disposable/ which has a density of 95%, 8x10 base size and 6" length but you would need to get it cut and styled before wearing it. The expected life span is 3-6 weeks, but quite a few of our clients reported that the unit lasts longer than that. Since it is a V-loop ventilation model, it would be best to limit to 1-2 washes per week for the unit and should not comb hair when it's wet. It is recommended to remove the unit once every 1-2 weeks to clean the scalp. Should you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to our customer support at 1-866-814-7879 or sales@superhairpieces.com
I actually only keep it on for a week. My scalp is too oily and the front starts looking obvious. It’s so easy to install I don’t mind doing it more often. - Rick
Great video rick. I'm struggling massively with my hair system just now. It's a 0.08mm skin base. Was first fitted with tape. Since cleaning and re fitting myself, I'm struggling to position it properly. I'm ready for chucking it in the bin.
How long they last depends on which one you choose! Rick's last about 6 weeks, but the HD111 he wears is considered disposable. There are others that can last anywhere from 3 to 6 months or more
Thanks for the video. I found it very useful. What is the base on your system, please? Also, will leaving the unit to soaks in C22 damage the unit if it's lace or poly?
@@groovyman94 Yes you can, however residue tends to be a little harder to remove from lace as it gets into all the holes, so it may not go as smoothly as this.
I've gotta be honest, I shave my head at 26 and enjoy doing it, I don't see why anyone would want something like that and go through all the effort when you can just shave but... regardless, this looks realistic af. Good job to the company making those.
I shaved my head for years. Boring. Its actually more maintainance shaving your head bald. Hair system is easier. You do this once every 2-3 weeks. Boom done.
Hi Rick, At what point can you comb the hair. They say "don't comb wet". Do you towel or air dry first? It looks like you comb it damp in the video. Your hair always looks "not dried" - It looks moist (which I prefer). What type of product do you use on it, if any? AND what is your rule of thumb when it's OK to comb? Does the hair pull out if combed wet? Thanks.
Actually, I have no idea how you can avoid combing the hair when it’s wet. It would dry and you’d have to wet it again do anything with it. It never hurts the system to comb it wet. I do it every morning. I use Aveda men styling gel.
how do you wash the hair system itself once the glue is off? do you just give it a shampoo and let it dry? or do you wash it as normal every few days in the shower? Or do you have to avoid ever getting it wet?
You can definitely get the hairpiece wet. After you have cleaned the glue from the system you can give it a rinse with water to remove any solvent left on it. You can shampoo it at this point as well if you want, or you can also shampoo it while it is attached to your head and you shower - however it should only be shampoo'd once or twice a week, and always followed with conditioner and leave-in conditioner. After washing you can just pat it dry :)
I had to have a section of about 4" round remove on the top of my head skin remove due to skin cancer, so when my hair grows back that area will not, I am thinking about getting one of those hair pieces. How long do they say on if you wash your hair daily? Thanks
We wouldn't recommend washing a hair system more than once or twice a week. You can still shower daily, but avoid shampooing. As long as you use a waterproof glue or tape though, showering shouldn't much affect the attachment
Hey guy! Hair wearer her!! Started with HCM what a joke! Fortunately, found a person who did it as her own business. But I do not wear the style of hair that you do. Mine has a van around the whole unit except for the front I take remove mine daily. Use red band tape and scout protect and lease remove. I also ordered my own units from a company and they charge me $500 for four6 x 9 6 to 7 inch length hair to cut in been doing this since 2008. Do you have a better price than I can let me know where to go and find those. Thanks.
i have been waiting for these to become afforadable for 5 years now. My oldest son (28) needs one so bad, it would show him the confidence has has hidden within him. are these less than $350 a piece?
@@johnmc2514 If you chose the system Rick is wearing then yes, approximately once a month you would need a new system. However this is the least durable system we offer, our other systems last significantly longer.
Rick likes to do it once a week, but it can be done more or less often depending on personal preference. Rick makes his own templates and cuts his own system, so no one needed to set it up for him. For those that don't feel confident doing that though, there is the option to have a professional cut the system base to the right size for you.
do you mind sharing which system are you using? thin skin? undetectable?.... Also, how much heat does this retain? I overheat pretty easily already, will it stand up to wearing a motorcycle helmet?

We homeschooled our children their entire childhood, and they are very conservative, decent Christian people! Homeschooling is the answer for any Christian or even just conservative person with children!
hey just wondering how often do you clean your thin skin HD111....I am using front lace system but considering switching to thin skin., though was told they only last a month.
My systems easily last 12-15 weeks, though I think they could go longer.
looks so real bud, also you look 15 years younger.💪
Thanks for that bro! 👊🏽✌🏽
It looks better than I thought.
I have no idea how I ended up here, either. Yet, this video is fascinating!!
Hair for men has come such a long way. For so many years when you saw a man with a hair piece or wig it was so obvious and just plain old looked bad. Your hair really looks good. A little bothersome with all the work involved but you look great. Plus, if I saw you out in public I would never know it wasn't real.
Do what makes you want to live your best life but you look fine without it.
Very kind…..appreciate it a lot.
Thanks bro! Hd111 all the way man! Peace!
@@rickdouglas5830 cool my brother thanks!
It looks good.. But I think the density is a little much.. Maybe 60/80 medium light.. 👍
It’s wild how a hair system can remove so many years
In the movie "weekend at Bernie´s", they used a staple machine for that.
Great tutorial! Thanks for advice!👌
Wow...would never guess...looks great
Thanks so much
what a time to be alive
Great job and great attitude ❤
How often do you have to take it off to have the maintenance done?
It depends on your preference. Most people usually go for once every 1 to 2 weeks, but you can go up to a month if you want to, or remove it daily too.
great job rick... looks so real
Is there something just as good or better with no glue strands to deal with?
any solution?
He looks fantastic with and without the hairpiece, there is a lot more to a man than its hair...
Rick, what’s the thickness of the base on this unit? The unit styling and color match look great. Thanks.
Hello...Rick is wearing HD111 hair system (superhairpieces.com/mens-toupee-hd111-8x10-thinnest-skin-base-hairpiece-disposable/) with poly skin base of thickness of 4 mils (1 mil =1/1000 inch) V loop.
Hi! 0.3mm thickness. Yeah, super thin.
How do you put it on yourself without the hair getting into the glue and on the scalp and your hands while making sure it’s aligned properly.
Thanks Rick your technique was very usefull for me !!!
I seen a bar fight once when one guy had the other in a headlock and his hair piece came off. I first thought he ripped his scalp off. The dude picked up his wig and ran off
How long does this hair piece last? Can you get at least 6 months out of it?
How long is the hair prosthesis cut?
He applies it without hassle. Wish I can do this perfectly.
WOW, this is a fantastic video... That hair piece looks amazing...
Thank you! ✌️
Amazing how much hair or the loss of it makes a world of difference in your facial appearance
Will direct application of glue spoil the patch?
Actually it doesn't, but just be aware that you're applying it to skin or lace and not mono or silicon
Looks better , naturally.
Hello Ricky thanks I discover your channel very important to me this I need this Rick help me how can buy this
which hair system are you using please.
HD111 from Superhairpieces www.superhairpieces.com/mens-toupee-hd111-8x10-thinnest-skin-base-hairpiece-disposable/
I'm confused when you're using the c22 are you directly spraying it on the hair? I heard it drys the hair out.
Hi! It actually should be sprayed on the base where has the adhesive
I am thinking to get my first hairpiece. I wonder how long does it last until you dispose it. Also How many you needs to keep you going. Cheers
This is a very thin poly system. Leaving the unit to soak in C-22 should not damage the base at all.
@Superhairpieces Thank you. Would this also be OK to do on a system with a mix of poly and lace?
@@groovyman94 Yes you can, however residue tends to be a little harder to remove from lace as it gets into all the holes, so it may not go as smoothly as this.
the wet look looks better so bloody real 😊👍
This guy is dapper!.
Are there long wigs that go down to waist length?
Is it true that it smells really bad after removing the toupee from the head?
I've gotta be honest, I shave my head at 26 and enjoy doing it, I don't see why anyone would want something like that and go through all the effort when you can just shave but... regardless, this looks realistic af. Good job to the company making those.
Not everyone has a good head to be bald
I shaved my head for years. Boring. Its actually more maintainance shaving your head bald. Hair system is easier. You do this once every 2-3 weeks. Boom done.
@@uranusplanet1226 Not exactly "Boom done", I mean he has to glue the damn thing onto his head.
@@terrycullen3302 you can use tape. I use tape, easy to peel
@@uranusplanet1226 how much does it cost for everything, hair piece , adhesive, and anything else needed to get started
Thanks.
Hello, what is life period of this thin skin units? Some of people say it is 3 month or 6 month maximum
The one Rick uses is ultra thin skin, so it lasts only 1-2 months. A regular thin skin is a bit thicker, so it looks less natural, but lasts longer
i have been waiting for these to become afforadable for 5 years now. My oldest son (28) needs one so bad, it would show him the confidence has has hidden within him. are these less than $350 a piece?
Our systems are less than $350 a piece. The one Rick is wearing is just $199
So you have to pay 199 every month?
@@johnmc2514 If you chose the system Rick is wearing then yes, approximately once a month you would need a new system. However this is the least durable system we offer, our other systems last significantly longer.
Hello, I have 2 questions, how often do you do that procedure? and did someone set it up initially for you in order to perform the procedure later?
Rick likes to do it once a week, but it can be done more or less often depending on personal preference. Rick makes his own templates and cuts his own system, so no one needed to set it up for him. For those that don't feel confident doing that though, there is the option to have a professional cut the system base to the right size for you.
do you mind sharing which system are you using? thin skin? undetectable?.... Also, how much heat does this retain? I overheat pretty easily already, will it stand up to wearing a motorcycle helmet?
This is the HD111, our thinnest skin base. You can view it here www.superhairpieces.com/mens-toupee-hd111-8x10-thinnest-skin-base-hairpiece-disposable/
Rick actually rides a motercycle while wearing his system and has no problems with it!
Can you say where you got your hair piece and what kind?
Hi there is a HD111, you can get it from www.superhairpieces.com
The hair, the beard, the body. You look fantastic
How on earth does Rick use Walkers Ultra hold without getting glue strands everywhere? Ive been using Ultra hold on my m104 and I get it all over my clothes, fingers and even hairpiece. Im dying here lol
fabulous result!!!
Hey, if it makes you feel good GOD BLESS. Idk how I got here either but I had to watch. Lol
