    You are my hero. I still have my hairline, but it is getting very thin overall in a widow's peak, and when I watched one of your videos the other day, I felt a thrill that displaced the dread I've been feeling for years now, just looking forward to inevitably being bald. But seeing you be so casual about it and confident, best way to describe it, you strengthen me and I really appreciate you putting yourself out there. Your vibe is fire bro

    Your hairline is looking amazing! What's your secret to making it look so natural? Are you thinning it out? Adding imperfections to the baseline?

    • @michaeljosephghd
      @michaeljosephghd  3 года назад +2

      Hey thanks! I actually don’t do anything other than trim it. Ever notice the hairline is imperfectly v-looped where some areas are thinner/thicker and some hairs may not come to the edge of the base? I trim it so it’s imperfect but lines up with where the hairs have been placed. That’s it!

    Fantastic video thank you for doing this. Only feedback I will give you is how different the color of your bio hair from your hair system. Have you thought about it? You can maybe get away with it if you ask your barber to shave the bio hair and fade it gradually moving up the grades. Right now in the vid it looks a little off. Please take this critique from a place of love brother.

But now I am kinda looking into "THE NEXT STEP" haha. Thank you very much bro, hope you see this!

    Hello Michael, Great Video, Great Content and done the right way!
    I am new to the hair system world. I just got one done down in Miami. I do have several questions though:
    1- Is the unit seen on this video of yours lace or poly?
    2- Mine is attached to my scalp with just tape. The front inner rim with some double sided and curved small tape pads and the sides and back inner rim with one that comes in a roll. For some reason the little squares bond way better than the roll.
    A) Is it possible to use the small curved tape pads along the whole inner perimeter and ditch the roll?
    B) Is it okay to use liquid adhesive in addition to the tape and if so directly on the unit or just on the scalp? I ask this because in other videos I have watched they recommend not to add liquid adhesive directly onto the unit because you can damage the breathability of it.
    3) At this moment i am only using the tape as i mentioned earlier. (little curved squares in the front and the roll for the sides and back). No liquid adhesives of any kind but i feel the unit extremely loose and slidy when sweating or after a shower. The moment i take it off and dry my scalp and the unit with a hairdryer the unit regains its bonding capabilities just by doing that. This scenario is not good for me becase i want to have an active lifestyle where I can sweat and get wet without having to make any plans for these things.
    What do you suggest here? Do you think the liquid adhesive directly on my scalp and in direct contact with the tape from the unit will help with this particular issue?
    Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated!!!

    • @michaeljosephghd
      @michaeljosephghd  2 года назад +1

      Hey man, great questions! I also live an active lifestyle and couldn’t find a way to make the tape work for me. I typically wear an all poly unit and use ultra hold to adhere the entire thing. From hairline sides and back, even the middle of the unit literally 100% attached by liquid adhesive. Works great, breathe just fine, and I can snorkel, scuba, even skydive with no problems!

    • @danielbarrios8947
      @danielbarrios8947 2 года назад

      Awesome! Thanks for your quick answer. So your unit is poly but i was told that on lace units it is not a good idea to use liquid adhesive directly on the unit but instead around the edges where the tape is and on the scalp. Do you know anything about that?
      What about using the curved square pads along the whole inner perimeter?

    Hi Michael, how long does your s22 last you? Do
    You ever need to dye it? Thanks for your time:)

      Apologies for the delay! They can last me about 3-4 months before I want to change it out. It could probably last longer but I tend to want a fresh system at that point.

    Hey man thanks for all the information? I'm 44 and have been back and forth on a system and HT . For a first time hair system user would you recommend one that you trim the lace down to fit or buy a pre fitted one?

    Thanks for the video brother. I'm thinking of getting one. But all these videos and styles are all the same. The hair is combed back. Would it look natural if I wanted a shaggy look? Like a skater type look? I'm a young guy.. Subbed.

      Skater style would be awesome and easy to do. My buddy Jake Kent has a similar look and it’s very natural looking.

  • @ronaldcarnevale3424

    Good instructions on cleaning. I feel better with tape though. I do have to wonder why you don't let the hair the back of your head to grow and meet the rest of your hair? It almost looks like you need a unit there too. Let that hair grow and your whole head would look great

  • @andym28

    How do you have a widows peak on this wig? It looks so much better that way.

    • @michaeljosephghd
      @michaeljosephghd  3 года назад

      Ya know, it kind of just looks like that with how the hair falls with this specific system. If you want a widows peak you could actually shape the system to do that by cutting the base a little!

    Well I see comments from years ago. So i wonder if you'll reply. Like the earlier text I sent you, I'd like to know what you think of the unit I'm getting put on literally tomorrow Aug 7 2023. Mine has a scalloped front. What do you think of that.

    I see you’re using adhesive exclusively on a poly unit. Is it a .03? Are you concerned about ripping it?

    • @michaeljosephghd
      @michaeljosephghd  2 года назад +1

      At first I was, but after 2 years of not being the most gentle with them, I’ve never torn it myself. One system I wore for too long and naturally it did rip on an edge (only about .5”) and even that wasn’t noticeable.

    Hi Mike. A quick couple of questions please: How comfortable is the system on your head? Does it get irritating after a while? Question 2: What material system would you recommend? a system made from real hair? or others? Thanks. Jon

    • @-The-Golden-God-
      @-The-Golden-God- Год назад

      100% real hair is vital. They're comfortable unless you sweat a lot and your skin reacts to the adhesive. Then it gets itchy and sore. Swiss lace is best, but can be difficult to maintain. I find that poly units feel like having plastic on your head, don't allow your scalp to breathe and you can see the poly shining through the hair. You're basically forced to have a high hair density, which for most people will look very fake. So I would say go Swiss lace, or a swiss lace poly blend, with a lower density. Poly is also bad for any exposed hairlines - you can quite easily see this guys poly liner when he pulls his hair back. It's extremely obvious.

    Hey Michael, love your videos, question for you, I’m considering starting to use hair systems for fear of side effects of hair loss drugs.
    But I roll Jiu jitsu about 3x a week… is Jiu jitsu and hair systems something that could go together if I was to replace the system every couple weeks like you do?
    Or is Jiu jitsu and hair systems something that just wouldn’t go together?

    • @michaeljosephghd
      @michaeljosephghd  2 года назад

      That’s a tough question. From what I (think) I know of BJJ is that you’re rolling around, getting super sweaty, and even using your head as part of the match. In my mind I’d think that may be a bit too much, but there’s only one real way to find out 😎
      If you’re able to get one, try it out in a less intense match then work up, I’d recommend it. If it’s a fresh install you may be just fine, if it’s been on a couple weeks it’ll get slippery I’d imagine.

    Would I be considered candidate for Hair System if I’m not bald? I have receding hair line that exposes most my forehead.

    • @michaeljosephghd
      @michaeljosephghd  3 года назад

      Absolutely. You may be able to use a frontal. It essentially replaces your hairline and blends right into your bio hair. Have you looked into that?

    How is it that the men units look way more natural than many of the female units I’ve seen. I know he’s on camera which is different from seeing someone in person but I SWEAR if he didn’t take off that unit, no way he could’ve convinced me that wasn’t his own hair. Im a female with some hair loss issues and I thinking about getting a unit. I don’t mean to get personal but Im wondering would this stay put during intimacy? And did I hear him say he goes snorkeling in the unit? If so, that’s amazing! So this doesn’t come off if you work out 5-6x a week and you sweat like heck?
