from what i seen this channel has the most complete videos, you can tell he really wants to help people. there are so few videos that show u how to remove glue from the system and this is the only one that I seen that shows the whole process. shoutouts to you!
What I do with glue is soak the system for about 30 minutes in water and then the glue just peels off. I then shampoo and condition the system and leave to air dry. The next day I reapply the system. I do it this way to give my skin a little bit of breathing time instead of just reapplying it right away.
That’s what I do. I put the system in a bowl with hair conditioner for 15-20 minutes. Then I rinse well and dry the hair and skin. After a few minutes the glue comes out easily by just rubbing it down.
I cant believe this works. Im new to hair systems and cleaning the glue has been a nightmare... Takes so long to do. Im going to have to try this. Thank you
@@HairSystemDIY Is it okay to leave in hot water? I've always been told not to wash it with hot water. I have only been using luke-warm. Thank you again, I got some cotton balls earlier, so I'll be giving this a go in the morning or when I've heard from you. Thank you thank you
Thank you for sharing your knowledge, I never ever leave comments but I tried this tonight and it worked perfectly...once again thank you for posting your knowledge
I just cleaned and reapplied hair system myself for the first time tbh it wasn’t as hard as I expected it to be lol still a challenge but now I can see how doable it is, of course I’ll need to see a stylist occasionally for touch ups on the sides or cut ins on a replacement. Have you ever had one pre cut ? Would you recommend that or better to have a stylist do it
I do NOT wear hair units at all but if I ever started to wear one, I would definitely use this method as it can be very helpful for me if I was to try & remove some glue from the base of whatever hair unit I would choose to wear. I enjoyed watching this educational video, Sir..
mr rick (the grey haired system gentleman) puts the cottoned base into little bit of solvent in a plate, so it came out so easily after few minutes have it a try
Do the cotton balls also work for Tape? If not what is a good alternative? Also I'm more struggling with cleaning my scalp and my bio hair than I due with the system. I always have so much tape residue on my head and it is so hard to get it off completely, it takes forever. How do you do it?
I also use this system. Very fast and practical to remove glue from the hair system. May I ask what glue you use? Have you made videos about glues and their use?
Great video! I was wondering if you have any advice or any tips of removing the glue from the hair itself I had a tiny seepage and its stuck on the hair. How would you remove it? I was thinking of spraying the area with the glue remover then brushing it out with a fine tooth comb? Any suggestions? Thanks!

Judith, actually skin systems with “V-Loop” hair does breath, there are tiny holes from the V-Loop injection. V-Loop is the best venting method. Why? No knots, so no knots to bleach. I switched from lace to skin and love it.
Is it really worth getting one of those mannequin heads for cleaning (and storing) the hair system? I've done the cleaning on a towel so far and I'm just wondering if the mannequin makes the job much easier?
So normally when I take my hair unit off it doesn't look like yours. It's already broken down plenty is already clumps of glue under the scalp and under the bass. If it's still not there I spray a little c22 on it let it sit for 10 minutes and then I do the mirror trick. The mirror trick is you just wipe your unit downward and all the oil and grease comes off of it on the mirror. Now I cover the mirror with Saran Wrap and you can still do the same thing. No rubbing no cotton balls none of that. Now once in awhile I have to do your method because just the way the glue cured does it always break down so easily

Can you do a video on the hairline ? This is a big frustration of mine …when I try to come my hair back you can see the tape line on the front of my hairline..all the videos say get the tape as close to the edge as possible…I don’t quite put it at the edge but if someone looks at my front hairline you can see the tape which defeats the whole purpose of doing this for me..
@@HairSystemDIY I have a lace system and the front hair line is a struggle for me…it seems if I place the tape close to edge you can see the tape, if I go just a little bit back it lifts after a day or two. Try putting the system in hot water (base side down) and leave for 20 mins. Once that is done this method will work a lot better. The hot water loosens the more stubborn glues very well.
Nice video and suggestion w/the cotton balls and the towel, well done. Not trollng, but it appears to me that your front is a bit too thick and a different calibre to your bio hair and at least to another wig wearer not the best. You might want to ask another wig wearer their honest opinion.

Thanks for the video! One question, what's the max amount of days that you can wear it before you HAVE to take it off and clean in and everything?

No it isn’t

Yes bossman. Go to my Tutorials playlist. They’re all there
Excellent video. "Cotton ball ball"
Will this same method work for French lace base?? I usually prefer tape on side and back, glue on front, for a week.
Yes it will, although I usually apply tape to a French Lace as it’s easier to remove from lace than glue 😀
Does the same apply to silk
Tape is better with silk
How do you get the c22 / smell out after. Just normal wash ?
Normal wash 👍
Wow! Does your scalp breathe underneath the PU skin? Also would this cotton wool method work on removing lace wig glue/adhesives?
No it doesn’t breathe well. Yes cotton wool works on lace too 😊

Mannequin definitely makes it easier mate but it’s not a ‘must’ if you are managing fine with just a towel 😊
can you recommend any specific model on Amazon or elsewhere?@@HairSystemDIY

What about getting glue out of the hair?
Spray C22 on the hair leave for 5 mins then comb it out
so u just use that C-22 solvent ?
C22 and towel is great. You can also just leave the system face down in hot water for 20 mins which does an equally good job
What about a lace system?
Check my tutorials playlist. I have tutorial videos on there cleaning a lace
Is your scalp itchy after not washing it for a week?
A little bit, but not much.
If I wasn't allergic to every type of glue, I'd prefer glue over tape and would use this technique.
Do cotton balls vs cotton pads make any significant difference? I've got a couple of weeks before my reinstall and would love to hear some opinions!
cotton balls are better
What is “Cottonball ball”
A cotton ball. You can buy them in most supermarkets

Use Ghost Bond in front - not tape. If you really want to use tape use Walker No-Shine in the front.
