Ever tried a hair gel product instead of adhesive? I use a styling product by American Crew called "Superglue." It removes with water, doesn't irritate my scalp, and of course doesn't harm the hair since it's intended for styling hair.

Nice video! This guy is young and has great bio-hair hair, so the thicker density and C/CC hairline contour works for him. It drives me nuts, though, when guys in their late 30s, 40s, 50s and even 60s try to pull off the same thing. FYI, here are a couple of tricks I learned when I was working in theater off Broadway. 99% isopropyl alcohol, which is dirt cheap and which you can buy online or in a beauty supply store, will take the place of any solvents, including C-22. Note that it has to be 99%, not the typical 70% you can buy at Target or Walmart. Also, instead of using tissue or cotton balls, once we had broken down the adhesive with the 99% isopropyl alcohol, we would do what was known as the "mirror slide" to remove the broken down adhesives. It works incredibly well. Once everything is broken down, take the unit, hold the hair back, and using a fair amount of pressure, slide the unit down a mirror. The broken down adhesives will stick to the mirror, and you can easily remove them with the 99% isopropyl alcohol. Just be certain that you hold the hair back. This is a really quick and efficient way to get the broken down adhesives off the unit. You can also use the 99% isopropyl alcohol when you're installing the unit. Spray a little bit on the tape or glue at the hairline, and it will buy you about 10 seconds to get the unit perfectly situated. In other words, you can move the system around and get it centered.

Thanks for sharing. What does your stylist charge you to do your cut in? In my area the few that I've found charge from $150 to $300. I may try the stylist Super Hair Pieces has. I don't know if will give me the best results or not. thanks

How often you have to do this?

Put cling film your head and trace the shape of your head that’s shaved with a pen into the cling film then draw that shape onto your system, that might be easier and save you time ? Just an idea!

Great workaround, Rick. This makes me wonder: bonding scotch tape to the perimeter of the whole system (except for the front); might that lessen the likelihood of a rip and even prolong the usable life of the system? Food for thought.

Not trying to sound like an ass man, but its working for you until it isnt. What i mean, is that you still have to take it off and deal with it later on. Especially with the ladies. It cant be hidden forever. I embraced my shaving journey. It sucks but ive gotten a ton of compliments over what i use to get. Also the females that approach me are more mature than those i would pull with my hair. Not bashing dude, just saying consider it. Grow a beard and become a lumberjack with me
