    That Eureka Super Automatic 260 upright was almost identical to the childhood vacuum I grew up with in Montreal, Canada. Ours was Lagoon Blue and probably made in 1960 or 1961. The gold and green colour scheme was introduced in 1957 as Eureka headed into their Golden 50th Anniversary Year of 1959. Once the celebration year concluded Eureka switched over to their famous 1960’s Lagoon Blue colour scheme. We even had the matching blue above the floor tool set in a nifty cardboard caddy!!!

    The Eureka Williams “Boomerang E” logo is actually a modern stylized graphic combination of the letters E and W. If you look at the logo with a slightly tilted head, it is also a “W” on its side!

      @@VacuumMaster that’s interesting that you mention that. I have read the same thing, but I’ve been told by several older collectors that Eureka was founded in 1908, which is why I am led to believe the same. Thank you for watching!
