Awesome theme, machines, and shirt! "Ore-O-Nap" - love it! Some of the uprights debuted in 1978, but I always thought the Continentals debuted in 1976 followed by the first Wide Tracks in 1977. I hope one day you are able to find a Model 2088 (Dial-A-Nap version of the 2049 and featured on the catalog page you showed), the extremely rare first Eureka Wide Track Model 4070 with the 3.5-amp motor and Rugulator that was only made in 1977; succeeded by the Model 4050 with the 6.0-amp ESP motor sometime in the fall of that year (on the same catalog page), and the Kmart Model 674 (on another catalog page). Regarding the Cordaway cord, I'd been told that it was a couple feet shorter than a manual wrap cord due to the capacity of the Cordaway case. Anyway, I enjoyed another of your informative and interesting vids - thanks!
Thanks for this great Eureka video Karl! Just two comments: the three way switch on the deluxe Cordaway upright offered the following settings: Power Touch Low, Power Touch High, and Constant High for Attachments (ATT). The third setting allowed you to do hose vacuuming without having to squeeze the handle. The second comment: if you tilt back the head on a Rugulator upright, the slider is much more easy to slide.
I really like the eureka wide track I actually have the Sanitaire version on my channel it has the same 6 amp motor on it only difference is plastic base and single speed metal foot switch.
I suspect that the brush rollers that Riccar vacuums use today are made by the same manufacturer that produced the VibraGroomer brush rollers for Eureka during the 1970s throughout the early 1990s. That’s why I preferred Eureka over Hoover with the exception of a few models like the Concept One. However I grew up with an Electrolux canister and a Kirby in my paren’s house. It wasn’t until I worked I restaurants that I knew what other vacuums were like and I really noticed a difference between the Eureka and the Hoover and knew which I was going to buy when I rented my first apartment. It was Eureka all the way for years. Now I have a Miele straight suction canister on each floor, a Sebo G4 upright downstairs and a Riccar R25 Pet upstairs for specific reasons.
@@markrich7693 I believe that was one of the lower end blender motor uprights. The one K-Mart machine I have is the most similar to it. Thank you so much for watching!
Thanks for sharing, a beautiful collection.
@@bribrimc73 of course! And thank you for watching!
