Mechanical skill and precision aiming with a mouse is going to be *exactly* the same in both games. If his aim is this bad in Overwatch, it's going to be equally as bad in CSGO. Considering aim is the primary skill of CSGO... He's almost certainly going to be lowly ranked in it as well. As for Game Sense, a big part of getting this in any game is just *knowing how to learn.* Obviously being new to the game is going to start you at ground zero, but if you "know how to learn" then you should be able to pick up any game really and understand it's intricacies relatively quickly. That's a skill that is applicable to almost everything in life, so even though the game may be different, it shouldn't make too much of a difference. All in all, his rank in either game should pretty close to each other, give or take a bit.
@@nathangould9549 nah, they didn't really show much fps fundamentals like peeking multiple enemies for no reason when they should be clearing angles one at a time and taking out the most obvious threat and actually having map knowledge to know where to position in contrast to your team. probably have decent aim but lack actual fundamentals, i'm guessing they are somewhere around gold nova levels of rank in cs:go.

I have played both rainbow 6 and overwatch. I personally think rainbow is not as forgiving as much as overwatch. Rainbow relies more in mechanical skills than overwatch but overwatch relies on teamwork and game since more. What makes rainbow more difficult than overwatch is the one life aspect. You can only die once

I knew the game was Silver the moment I saw FunkyPants the Mercy one trick. I've seen this toxic player in my gold games a few times. Always threatening to report the DPS, always heal beaming a full health tank, and will not swap off mercy no matter how obvious it isn't working.
"I think I got angry and downgraded the player" - No this was 1000 -1300 play, may not have been the SR the players at, but that's what it was. Maybe they play Hanzo or another char. more than widow, and have better play than this, but from what I saw 1300 would have been spot on for that play IMO.
Sniping is my strongest aspect in any COD game, but I barely use Widow. There are HUGE key differences between BO1's L115 and Widow's sniper. Weapon sway, target health, aim stability, fire rate... just about everything.

Movement for example, in CS you can fairly easily predict where somebody is gonna go because they can only strafe and crouch/jump, OW has a bunch of different heroes with different aimboxes and different abilities. In CS you learn to hold your crosshair on head height while walking, but that doesn't really work in OW. Also most "good snipers" in CS think they're good because they can kill with the AWP, but it's a one shot kill pretty much anywhere. Widow can only one shot if she headshots.
Yep! I also was quite good with the Sniper and Bow on TF2. But I do suck so bad at widow and hanzo haha. I think its the movement what is screwing me. OW is a little bit harder to predict. Also the hitbox size/shape and speed of the projectile is different.
I was looking at that to going, that's not that much. When I look at things like my cod hours from my high school days. I was easily getting 900+ hours each year on top with other games and having social life. They say it takes 10,000 hours to master anything.
Sty, I'm not sure how you could tell that this player's aim is good. He had one really good double-kill, yes, but he fired maybe as many shots as a player is likely to in a game of World of Tanks. This player spent the majority of their time idling and hiding.
It doesnt matter if you got 1300+ hours on CSGO, or 10.000+ hours on Call of Duty, Overwatch is a complete different game compared to CSGO & Call of Duty, but to be fair, this persons plays like a CSGO Player, so thats probably why he is in a lower bracket, but thats my personal opinion.
aiming is the EXACT same wdym, i have my sens converted from csgo to ow and i have the same 360 distance which is used to accurately measure sensitivity.

3.4k hour cs player here global elite and 'aim' is honestly 60% movement, 25% crosshairs placement and 15% actual aim(flicks). I only have 150 hours and am low plat in overwatch and I mostly played hanzo/mccree but now I play ashe a lot since I frag out with her for some reason (85% wr) When I get out played in ow it's usually because of ability usage and team play. The games are completely different, it's like comparing terraria and Mario bros if you compare fps to 2d platformers
The issue I seen with his shooting. He is focusing on accuracy which OW doesn't really care about. Let me be clear (for those who don't understand) Widow doesn't suffer from your standard accuracy issues as normal DM games. He is trying to take careful aim with his sensitivity, which is in reality kind a wrong. You can have a decently slow mouse speed, but still it has to be faster then slower as he has it. His turn ratio is also rather slow. Basically he is suffering from sensitivity issues lol

Lets all just agree that overwatch is a mess on comp. We have absolute insane support mains who should be plat or above hardstuck in silver while we get absolute awful DPS who are high silver/gold with the gameplay of a bottom 500 player :')
I wish sty would watch some gold games because golds do stand outside of spawn sometimes. I hear him say a lot of things that golds wouldn’t do but gold actually do!

Overwatch has a slower ttk, more abilities/clusterfuck, more team based and has high movement even on the lowest mobility heroes so ad strafing is more effective and required to an extent while trying to aim. So yeah...its not cod

CS:GO and Overwatch are very different in play style. CS isn't as chaotic as Overwatch; there is a lot more mobility in Overwatch. In CS, you can get by on aim a lot easier than you can in Overwatch, since tactics are easier to devise, but you can't compare a terrorist peeking with an AK, to a huge freaking monkey landing on you, while shooting lightning. CS is focused on tactics, Overwatch is focused on game sense. Both games require both to get anywhere, but they require them on different levels. In the end, Overwatch also demands a greater amount of sheer luck, than CS. You are far more likely to get fragged by a stray bullet in Overwatch.
I would probably suggest any CS player coming to Overwatch to NOT play Widowmaker, but rather McCree, or Soldier. With the mobility, the usage of highground etc, Widowmaker is very different from "holding long with an AWP" where you mostly just hold one angle and then maybe move and hold a similar angle. In OW, the angles constantly shift as the payload moves. Why this player decided on the heroes he/she did in round 1 I have no Idea...
The two time... Remember when he took the shortcut on hanamura cliff side with MCRee trying to get back to 1st point? That was the funniest thing when he realized he took the slowest route possible. He was like, OH Fuuuu
The moment I saw the guy make some decent shots but mostly just not fire as many as he should I knew it was silver. They either spend too much time aiming and not enough spamming or vice versa.
1300 is not that much, most of those hours are mostly afk because steam doesn’t only record games but also just being in the lobby, unlike overwatch which I prefer because you can see the exact time.

They're really different, and you need way more game sense for Rainbow but in rainbow you can get away with having meh mechanics

In Overwatch you need to move your mouse constantly to hit your targets. In CS you wait until something walks into your crosshair and shoot.
