  • Hosted by UCI Libraries and UCI Illuminations, this event welcomed A People’s Guide to Orange County book authors and “Educator’s Guide to Diversity” partners to share how the alternative tour guide and related archival materials are being used to develop ethnic studies curriculum in Orange County, California, and beyond.
A People’s Guide to Orange County challenges popular images of Orange County by drawing from community-centered archives to tell the county’s history through the lens of its diverse and underrepresented communities.
This event was co-sponsored by UCI Illuminations and supported by the Andrew W. Mellon Fellowship for Diversity, Inclusion & Cultural Heritage at the Rare Book School.
