About Master Sushi Chef Hiroyuki Terada:
Master Sushi Chef Hiroyuki Terada is one of the top Japanese Chefs in the entire world and the most popular Japanese chef on RUclips.
At age 10, Terada learned the basics of sushi from his father and then went on to attend RKC Chef's School in Kochi, Japan from 1987-1989. He soon earned a nickname for his fast knife, attention to detail, divine presentation and ability to create new dishes and accents based on traditional Japanese cuisine. After graduating RKC Chef School, he was called to serve under Master Chef Kondo at Yuzuan restaurant in Kochi, Japan from 1989-1992. @@Shadow61616 Yes, but in previous videos they make a huge deal out of killing crabs/lobsters first before cooking because it's considered the most humane way. You destroy their nervous system so they don't feel any pain while getting cooked.

i remember when i was younger, i told my mom i wont eat the crab instead i want graphic card for my gaming computer. she was mad. she said dont usually buy dungeness crab when its not in season. i ended up eating it and didnt regret how delicious it is.
Hero is very resourceful. If he doesn't an item for a dish he will substitute it for another. Good job chef!

Ok, as a teenager like Hiro, I fished in Horsehead bay, WA. Row a dingy our to the middle of the bay and catch several flounder. Clean them up and put the cleaning in a crab catcher. Catch 5 or 6 Dungeness crabs. Steam them like crazy and enjoy. Free! Free oysters too! Don't you love being close to easy to catch free seafood!!!!

If you froze him a little longer he would have died on his own, that beings said, to everyone out there saying this is cruel, he did freeze it long enough that it didn’t feel anything, it basically went to sleep in the ice, and it’s nervous system didn’t have time to reactivate before it was cooked. looks delicious Hiro!!!!

Hiro I do pork dumplins with a dipping sauce you would love. Orange marmalade, light soy sauce, a little miron, fresh grated ginger, chopped green onions and a little fresh black pepper.

I made the Dumplings for Thanksgiving dinner instead of just dumping crabs on a plate next to the other items. These dumplings are great. I did the fried style. I was just on the verge of too much ginger. I made a dozen and we had 6 left over so lunch is taken care of. I split them with my friend and partner so 3 should be enough.
For some reason I find these cooking vids and taking apart the crab or eel or isopod it’s very relaxing Anyone else feel that?

You're looking at it. I don't usually do it, but it happened to be on top of the bowl because of the angle of the camera.

For all those saying the crab 'looks sad' I hope you understand that is a specifically HUMAN phenomenon where we subconsciously anthropomorphize non human creatures. We do the same thing with our dogs and cats. Non human creatures do not think or feel like humans. Many of the NON sentient species (the ones who fail the mirror test. The ability to recognize themselves in a reflection) Are completely INCAPABLE of feeling the same complex emotions we do. This crab literally is not even capable of feeling fear, let alone anger or sadness. It does NOT process information or the world at large as we do. Not at all. As long as we are cautious to harvest creatures sustainably, and minimizing impact to the ecosystem and environment, I say catch and cook and away. There is really no need to over complicate matters by assigning human emotions and thoughts to creatures completely unable of experiencing them.
If somebody says “I’ve got Crabs”, you better make sure they’re talking about this kind

I learned from another video, crab shell glows under uv light. Good for seeing if any shell gets in the meat
As an east coaster 9:15 hurt me on the inside a bit. If you bend back the last segment of the leg it pulls out a tendon that releases the meat. He left a decent bit behind :(
I prefer fried dumplings over steamed but both are delicious!
Oh I remember freaking out when I saw an entire shelf filled with big bottles of Habu Sake in Okinawa. Quite interesting to say the least.

Amazing looking dumplings! I love dumplings myself. I'd like to see what kind of dishes and sushi Hiro could make with wild game such as venison, elk, bear, boar, etc. I think he could do some amazing things with those.
