I think Tyranid lore is a double edged sword. So much of their appeal and what makes them scary is the unknowns. If you define them, you risk losing their appeal. Sort of like in a horror movie, if you show the monster right off that bat, then it becomes less scary.
Question: What's your interpretation of the emperor. Is he a tyrant who only saw his sons as tools and wanted to become a god? Or was he a flawed human who made mistakes in his rush to follow what he foresaw as the only way to preserve humanity.

Question: 40k is often considered one of the more OP sci-fi settings, so how would one of the smaller factions, like the Tau, fare in a different setting like Mass Effect or Halo?

I hope they never explain most of the lore beyond where it's at right now, only add more mysteries or possibilities
