Thanks for posting this video; quite instructive! I'm learning to fly a CTLS in the States, and have found that landings can be tricky! A few of our local fields have trees on the approach end, and to the sides; this causes some peculiar "air burbles", requiring extra attention (for me); have had my share of "go-arounds"! Happy flying!

Smart flying on your part Craig ...... Better to go around many times than force the issue and crash once.
In the UK I have heard the effect trees can have on the air near the ground described quite often as a 'rotor effect'.
Some of the best diagrams of what's happening are found not in flying but kayaking materials describing and showing standing waves and 'stoppers' in water flow.
(Not so surprising when you bear in mind they're both fluid media).

Thanks for posting. Don't mind the people here saying you are flaring late, they probably never flew LSAs and are just comparing the flare they see here against what they are used to in other, larger-aircraft. Whoever said grass landings are not easier than concrete has surely never landed in grass - *or* concrete! Grass is certainly more forgiving therefore easier. On an unrelated topic, I find that your aircraft DC system might use some more filtering as there is a lot of generator noise bleeding through into the recorded audio. If the camera is being supplied from aircraft DC than you can get "L-C" filters specifically for the camera power outlet.

What a great place to fly from. It looks rally nice. I wouldn't like an engine failure though, it looks a bit crowded on the ground!

That was so terrifying that I could barely watch. Just knew someone was going to die in this little airplane.

Sorry, NOT severe! Try landing an Aeronca Champ into a 20 kt left XW component (because no choice) on a short, grass field, then, with Rt wheel and wing still up, the XW shifted 180 degrees to a RIGHT TAILWIND. Had to use a burst of power & right rudder to turn into the wind and angle across the narrow runway, with LEFT stick to get the right wheel down, then power and full back stick with brakes to stop in time. Sorry, no video! But it worked. Yomitan Airfield, Okinawa, 1970.

That was NOT a server crosswind, that was letting the plane get away from you.. LOL

Holy crap, learn to fly my friend - don't let the wind control you, wing down, opposite rudder and get off the power; that's how its done.

I thought that was mostly reasonably well flown - Tho I too thought it was a surprisingly long hold off -
After all, there's not the amound of yaw you'd expect from the major cross-wind claimed. Or at least its not obvious from the video.
Excuse my slight scepticism about the rest:
If you have something worryingly close (tho never in camera shot - but see below) at your 1 o'clock *why* would you turn right instead of left?
In fact why at that point not cut your revs and complete the landing to get out of the way?
    - The video shows there was nothing on the ground.
Why with your airspeed so low is someone who seems to be identified as an instructor so emphatic and excitable jabbering 'go right, go right, go right' .......... When a response proportionate to that would have put you in a bank which would have stalled you? - Credit to the pilot the turn was quite measured. And personally if that's an instructor I'd find a new one.
As for the never in shot - In fairness I guess if a Hercules had appeared in camera shot nearby we'd only be viewing it if the camera was salvaged from the wreckage.

You sure flare late. You lost your heading and I suppose it would be better to just abort at 4:04 but you chose to commit to landing. I don't like grass airfields too much, a lot of people say they are easier then concrete but I disagree.
