This sounds beautiful but why aren’t more developments SELLING lots for tiny and small houses? I’m single and retired but i want to BUY a tiny house and small lot instead of STILL paying RENT.
I can understand wanting to own your own piece of land however it would be quite difficult to pass on the cost of the land as well the cost of the septic, water and electric to the lots. For us, this was the best option.
I own an rv lot with a park model on it. There are rv lots you can own. You have to research an area you are interested in living in, then check with all the rv parks. Sometimes they allow tiny homes. I do pay $157 a month HOA but could not afford $500+ in rent. It would make more sense to buy a condo with a low HOA. It really negates the whole reason to go tiny if you're paying $600+ a month and never own the ground.
We do have an outdoor gathering area with tables and chairs, a firepit and cafe lights. The stars are amazing at night so we will have lots of area to view the stars. At this time we have not built a community center however it is in our plans for the future. Our homes have stackable washer & dryers in the homes. Reach out with any other questions you may have.
I'm confused, I thought TH's were under 400 square feet, but theirs start at 399 and go up to 1,000? I don't like the idea that you can't bring your own house, but I wish them well, because I truly believe there's something for everyone however, this wouldn't work for me. Also, I wan't to build a TH community where the residents own the small patch of dirt under and around their homes, which would ensure they stay longer and actually build a community.
Many of us in the Southwest with smaller dogs continually monitor the dogs when outside - meaning we never leave them alone. There are not only hawks, but coyotes and javelina. So I imagine having an eagle nearby would be the same lifestyle I already have, which is always being with dog day or night when going out, and I also have a chain link fence to keep out elk, javelina and coyote, though only the javelina can not jump a fence.
I was expecting a tour of the tiny home in the area.
685.00 for lot plus house pmt., would be very expensive to live there!!

Will there be any lots for sale with or without an HOA sometime in the future?
We do not have plans to sell our lots. We take care of the landscaping and maintain the property.

That eagle nest is scary if you have a small dog which I do and after that very questionable

We will ask our residents to keep their dogs on a leash when outside this will assist in safety of your pet.
What laundry?
