Well, I applied for the 'Global Entry' program, just hope it all gets through in time for my November 9th flight to Atlanta, so I can get the interview done there 🙂
@@BenDreamVacations Thanks! Of course, since I'm Dutch, it'll require a few more steps, but I'm prepared to jump through the hoops :-) It's still 4 months before I travel, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed 🙂
Ben, thanks for the video. It appears that the Global Entry application process has become more rapid. I completed the on-line GE application on 28SEP21, was conditionally approved on 01OCT21 and interviews as early as 23OCT were available. Are you aware of any on-line interviews for GE? Thank you!
Hi Scott. You can only do a online interview if you are renewing your Global Entry. Otherwise you need to conduct the interview in person if applying for the first time.
Hi Ben I have an important question I've been wondering for days now. my question is can I bring more than 1 quart sized bag with my liquids that are under the 3.4 oz rule? Like may I bring 1 in my personal item bag or carry on bag and one in my checked luggage? Or are you only allowed 1 bag in total no matter how many different bags you bring?(a luggage, personal item bag, etc)
You are only allowed 1 quart sized bag of liquids in either your carry-on or personal item per passenger. But if you check a bag there is no liquid limit requirement. You can as many liquid items as you want.
I have TSA pre-check already and signed up last December- We didn't have any international travel plans at the time so I opted for just pre-check. We have a trip booked to Cancun in this coming December and i'm know second guessing not signing up for global entry. My question is: is global entry worth the $ if I have TSA within the last 10 months? Should I wait until my precheck expires?
If you want to upgrade to Global entry you would have to go through the entire process and pay the $100 fee per person. I don’t know that it’s worth it if you just paid for Precheck unless you plan on traveling internationally a lot between now and when your precheck is up for renewal. I would maybe wait until that time comes and then upgrade to Global entry.

You should be able to get conditionally approved by then. Good decision to get Global Entry!

I get Global Entry and just renewed it.
Awesome! It definitely beats standing in long customs lines.

Took me 24 hours to receive conditional approval. My interview is next week. Draw back, I have to fly to DFW for the interview 🤦🏻♀️
Wow! That was fast. I guess they are not so backed up. Where are you flying from to get to DFW?
I am a Canadian citizen and resident. Can I get Global Entry?
Unfortunately no, but you can apply for NEXUS which is a similar program.
@@BenDreamVacations Thank you.

Hi Ben, a question for you. If I have global entry already, do I need to apply for TSA since global entry includes TSA? Please let me know. Thx
Hi William. No, you do not need to apply for TSA precheck since it is already included with global entry.
I applied for preTSA 28Oct and am still waiting for approval. I just retired from the military so I’m shocked by the approval delay 😳🤦🏽♀️
I wonder why? I haven’t heard of any delays with getting precheck. Have you tried to check your status?
Sounds FUBAR to me. Hope they get squared away soon. Thank you for your service.
Interviews are backed up. I did get conditional approval. Can I use that for now?
Hey Desmond, unfortunately you have to complete the interview before you can use either TSA precheck or Global Entry.
