honestly, I don't mind the markup for some tech like Zoom and Boost, but it's getting to the point where I might buy unauthorized shoes because of the rising price of releases
You get made fun of regardless of what you're wear they be clipping on little things now but if you wear shaqs you're done there's no way you can ever win a clip battle
They’re very nice, just the quality but for the price you can’t complain and as fast as kids go through shoes it’s not very smart to be buying them expensive ones til they’re fully grown and learn how to take care of them.
The 'look good' usually comes from what people who follow other people think. Yes, the material Shaq has to work with is a cheaper material but it shouldn't be based on what followers think.
I could never rock these, not even when I was a kid. But this video reminds me of one of my childhood friends. We'd play basketball during recess and I one time asked him how come he only wears Everlast sneakers when everybody else is wearing Nike or Reebok. He said because they were cheaper and the extra money that he saved allowed him to get things he really cared about. It was a profound statement from a young kid, especially in the 90's during those Jordan years.
Good for Shaq and his brand...I knew a lot of kids that would tape up their sneakers to last a few weeks longer..it's hard for some families to afford good shoes for all of their kids. I( would rock the Reebok Shaqnosis..them shoes are iconic.
It sucks society is like that, when I was a lil Mexican kid in Mexico we never pushed for the Nike's or Jordan during that time or the Barkleys Pippens thank god we grew up working for it at the age when we learned to walk. Not all of us are blessed, but Shaq is doing a great thing, so are other athletes like Marbury, and others.
Salute to you my man. I'm sure you're still Mexican regardless if you're a little kid or not. I'm so glad Shaq has provided an affordable shoe to those who look up to sports players and not just go for the status quo Giants of apparel to do business with
My parents would've bought me these back in the days. My parents couldn't afford to buy me Jordan's back in the 90's but now I get to buy the kicks I want even though $190 plus for some of them is rough but I'm not hating on these. It's a good way to jump in the sneaker game as a youngster
My mom used to buy me the cheap shoes around $30 dollars and I did not like it. After I tried a pair of Jordan and a 2k3, I am still the same cheap bastard on basketball shoes. Even Nike has affordable option in outlet store.
JDay Punk you are right that was back then but now if you wear those to school you will get roasted so better to start with some cheap jordans of nikes
Thing is that 190 is pure profit. It shouldn’t cost that much for a shoe. It’s Shaq’s point. I’ve never spent more than 60 on a shoe and never will. I just found out about these and will pick up several pairs.
I agree with others. Love the price and quality. Just wish they had more original abd better design ideas then they could create a higher market demand instead of being categorized as knock offs
Khiry, love what you're saying man. More options are out there right now. Some people don't understand why Shaq made his move but the understanding is growing and as you know he's selling more than most active players today
The only thing that makes people love shoes are price and other people's opinions. I just looked up some expensive jordans that look like shit, looked some shaqs that looked nice, but if u ask people, 99.9% will say the jordans look better just cause they're jordans
i had a pair of shaq's back in elementary school (2000 or 2001) , i got made fun of by a couple kids for the shoes i had on, that was my first and last time i ever wore shaq's publicly. sad that we get so dead set on brand names rather than the actual function of the product itself
I think that perception will never change. Its up to you or on how you would raise your kids to absorb such criticisms. In the end, its not about the shoes, its the skills. Hone them so they can build confidence. With that even the cheapest things they wear also get respect. 😁
I can never knock off someone's shoe game regardless of what they're wearing, not everyone has the fortune to buy tons of expensive sneakers for their kids and gotta to do with what they can.growing up I didn't have the freshest kicks cause parents didn't have the money for it but now I can afford to get what kind of shoes I want and really appreciative of my folks
I'm still trying to rock them Pro wings but can't find them retro's. Thank Shaq for having adorable shoes for anyone without having a lot of money. Respect.
I respect him for keeping his shoes cheap! My parents used to buy me fila's and reeboks way back. With both of them working at grocery stores and having 2 other brothers it was hard. Now I graduated and can buy the Lebrons, Jordan's that I want. My point is be thankful for what you have and if you work hard you will be able to get what you want and even bless your parents for giving their all. Lastly, don't give them a hard time if they can't get you Jordan's, because if they could they would definitely do more for you.
I used to have to rock these all the time, everyone would clown on me on the court, but I'd play as hard as I could constantly. And somebody recognized it, a assistant coach from another team asked me to see my shoes, he looked at the size, and the next time I played them he gave me a pair of Kobe 6s he didn't use anymore!
nothing wrong with those for the money- and I agree my parents couldn't afford more than $40 for shoes when I was a kid and if I'd wanted something decent looking like this for the money it would have been a great option. that aside- I make a comfortable 6 figure income and I won't spend more than $150 a pair on sneakers for ME much less my child. now, you don't HAVE to with kids J's for $60ish at Factory Stores but point is I can but I won't because the pricing is idiotic.
Doesn't matter what you make for income. If you aren't staying true to yourself then it's a waste of time. People are material minded, so you can't waste time worrying about what others think.
Chuck Taylor I feel you man. the first pair of sneakers I ever picked out for myself was a pair of black and blue Shaqs and I loved them shoes. I started wearing Jordans in 8th grade, not retro ones but like the a phly legend and Six rings. to this day I still have never had retro Jordans cuz I just can't imagine spending $170 to $250 on one pair of shoes.
It doesn't bother me that people buy these shoes cause like delz said everybody can't afford to buy Jordan's and Nike,I just hate when companies blantanly rip off other shoe designs its 1 thing to resemble another model but that elephant print cmon son
I didn’t even know about these. Until now. I just want to buy them on principle alone and support Shaqs message. Matter of fact I’ll pick up a pair or two.
I used to wear Shaq's throughout elementary. Like many others, my parents weren't able to afford me J's except on some special occasions. Now that I'm grown up I can afford to buy J's, but simply choose not to because the mark-up on those shoes is ridiculous. Especially since they are made overseas for a very low price.
Shaq made a very smart business decision by going price friendly to the lower income people. Yes he has a smaller profit margin per shoe but he sells three times as many shoes so he ends up making just as much in the end. But it also allows low income families to have decent shoes on their feet.
I just bought a pair of Shaq Scion. They are comfortable and wide withe and at 30 bucks I can't complain. Plus I loved Shaq as a Player and even now. I get affordable kicks and rep my fav player. Win win
My nephew got some True Blue Shaq 3s for X-Mas he was upset Lol but hey I used to wear payless shoes as I child till I turned 12 and gave a fuck about shoes
I just like Jordan brand retro's. I will say that Shaq has a kind heart and is looking out for the people who can't afford to purchase high end sneakers...good looking out Shaq and you never know what life will throw at you, I would rather wear these than to be bare foot and have no shoes at all.
I remember being a kid in walmart and being excited to try on some Shaq AF1 Hi's, were super comfortable and pretty decently made shoes, and as a kid i just thought they were generic all white hi tops and idk they were AF1 knockoffs, id give anything to have a pair of those again
Does the below sound familiar? It was written by a famous black man in 1895. "When, however, I found myself at the school for the first time, I also found myself confronted with two other difficulties. In the first place, I found that all the other children wore hats or caps on their heads, and I had neither hat nor cap. In fact, I do not remember that up to the time of going to school I had ever worn any kind of covering upon my head, nor do I recall that either I or anybody else had even thought anything about the need of covering for my head. But, of course, when I saw how all the other boys were dressed, I began to feel quite uncomfortable. As usual, I put the case before my mother, and she explained to me that she had no money with which to buy a "store hat," which was a rather new institution at that time among the members of my race and was considered quite the thing for young and old to own, but that she would find a way to help me out of the difficulty. She accordingly got two pieces of "homespun" (jeans) and sewed them together, and I was soon the proud possessor of my first cap. The lesson that my mother taught me in this has always remained with me, and I have tried as best as I could to teach it to others. I have always felt proud, whenever I think of the incident, that my mother had strength of character enough not to be led into the temptation of seeming to be that which she was not-of trying to impress my schoolmates and others with the fact that she was able to buy me a "store hat" when she was not. I have always felt proud that she refused to go into debt for that which she did not have the money to pay for. Since that time I have owned many kinds of caps and hats, but never one of which I have felt so proud as of the cap made of the two pieces of cloth sewed together by my mother. I have noted the fact, but without satisfaction, I need not add, that several of the boys who began their careers with "store hats" and who were my schoolmates and used to join in the sport that was made of me because I had only a "homespun" cap, have ended their careers in the penitentiary, while others are not able now to buy any kind of hat." -Booker T. I cant knock anyone for having to buy these. But the fact that they are basically making a bobo Jordan 3 sport blue is going to lead to the kid who wears these getting made fun of.
Most people should be buying these. If sneakers were looked at as a commodity and people would think for themselves he would outsell. The sneakers cost about the same to make as Jordan’s if u think about it. They cost $2 to make!
Many are Laughing about this SHAQ Shoes but Look what happened to those Iconic Shoes by NBA player such as Iverson, T-Mac And Many More, those shoes are not even on Sale right now While Shaq Shoes are selling 5 Million Pairs a Year
I could never wear those type of shoes. I tried but I just couldn’t. Huge respect to those that do/did. I would always save my birthday money to get $100+ shoes and wear Nikes or Adidas instead.
What's dumb to me is why not make a better quality show around $60 or $70. I don't care about high priced shoes but I want them to last awhile and be comfortable. Though I have bought good Filas for $30.
I think Shaq did a great job with the idea of making affordable shoes. Like you said not everyone can buy $185-$220 Air Jordans.. But i think he should make better and more originals shoes instead of mimiqing JB. He can easily afford working with designers to build up better shoes. Those shoes are a very good idea but they need their own signature. Peace 🙏
I had a pair in 2005 when i was 16 years old because my moms couldn't afford to by me a pair of 100 dollar shoes and i actually wore them out until they were falling of my feet
Nothing wrong with these shoes.. especially for the price... I remembered I had a pair of the first Starburys that cost like 20 or 30 bucks because we could actually play in them because we weren't creasing our Jordans.....
Shoes I want is these retro shoes, retro Jordan's, b.k.s, pippen Mike air, Reebok pump, rin d.m.c. shoes, penny Hardaway shoes ones Jordan wore, prime time shoes yes
I mean personally I wouldn’t rock them but still thou big up Shaq for making shoes affordable for those families who can’t afford a pair of $190 jordans
Some kid in my class was wearing Shaq shoes saying that his shoes are better then everyone’s. So he roasted for wearing these shoes so bad that he cried for the whole day. I don’t recommend you wearing these shoes to school.

Most people should be buying these. If sneakers were looked at as a commodity and people would think for themselves he would outsell. The sneakers cost about the same to make as Jordan’s if u think about it. They cost $2 to make!
Many are Laughing about this SHAQ Shoes but Look what happened to those Iconic Shoes by NBA player such as Iverson, T-Mac And Many More, those shoes are not even on Sale right now While Shaq Shoes are selling 5 Million Pairs a Year
1:50 those remind me of the foamposites
where did u go to see em
I just picked up a pair of shaq bankshot and they're great
Shaq shoes are heat
Thank you and God bless
I could never wear those type of shoes. I tried but I just couldn’t. Huge respect to those that do/did. I would always save my birthday money to get $100+ shoes and wear Nikes or Adidas instead.
They look dope ! 😎👍🏻
the WHAT R THOSE collec from Shaq....good looking out +Sneakeraddict
Where was this?
What's dumb to me is why not make a better quality show around $60 or $70. I don't care about high priced shoes but I want them to last awhile and be comfortable. Though I have bought good Filas for $30.
Same here I didn't have expensive shoes as a kid
Ngl tho they look good
I can afford nice shoes like I have the sweater 7s and dunk from above 4s but like that's almost it
0:46 lity as fucky booiii 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I think Shaq did a great job with the idea of making affordable shoes. Like you said not everyone can buy $185-$220 Air Jordans..
But i think he should make better and more originals shoes instead of mimiqing JB. He can easily afford working with designers to build up better shoes.
Those shoes are a very good idea but they need their own signature.
Peace 🙏
I like the three pointers
I only wear jordan under armour currys and kobes what those are selled ar walmart
Bro I bought one for 40 and that thing comfy asf. I wanted to see how good it was and it actually was pretty good
I used to were those but now I have LeBrons 13 n Jordan's hyper dunks n Curry's so I grew a lot
3-4 million a year? Strange I’ve never seen anyone wear one.
Those black ones are fire
The had to written " shaqs" on the back side of the sneakers.
I had a pair in 2005 when i was 16 years old because my moms couldn't afford to by me a pair of 100 dollar shoes and i actually wore them out until they were falling of my feet
People at school used to get flamed for havin some shaqs
the one with the elephant print is the best
those sport blue 3s are nice!
Was thinking about buying some for a kid less fortunate
The White and navy ones are raw
Nothing wrong with these shoes.. especially for the price... I remembered I had a pair of the first Starburys that cost like 20 or 30 bucks because we could actually play in them because we weren't creasing our Jordans.....
They look very stylish. Probably check them out. My next time I'm at walmart
Colin Sushiboy lol
Shoes I want is these retro shoes, retro Jordan's, b.k.s, pippen Mike air, Reebok pump, rin d.m.c. shoes, penny Hardaway shoes ones Jordan wore, prime time shoes yes
Thanks for watching, check out my new video I think u will love It
I mean personally I wouldn’t rock them but still thou big up Shaq for making shoes affordable for those families who can’t afford a pair of $190 jordans
Bro I would rather buy some vans if I was on a budget
Rick Ross Vans aren’t shit in basketball though, or anything besides skating/ medium distance walking
Buy troops they are 10 dollars cheaper
vans are more expensive than those
I'd buy converses.
Some kid in my class was wearing Shaq shoes saying that his shoes are better then everyone’s. So he roasted for wearing these shoes so bad that he cried for the whole day. I don’t recommend you wearing these shoes to school.
