Happy to see Donovan Mitchell continue with this as well. One of his objectives was to make a shoe that comes in at under $100 (affordable by todays standards)
I grew up 45 minutes from Orlando. Even after Shaq went to the Lakers, he would still come back to Orlando every christmas and give bikes and toys to underprivileged kids that he paid for himself. It would be on the local news. He could have easily stopped coming back and no one would have thought twice about it, but he cared about the community. Shaq is the real deal. Not gonna lie, I'd love to get a re-issued pair of some old school Shaq shoes.

But high cost isn't only about brands it also usually reflects qaulity. Any cheap pair of shoes I've had last me afew months but a higher priced pair can last years.
Black youth whether they can afford it or not do not want the cheap shoes with the shack name on them for $30 at walmart. They want the $200 version from the sports store whether the family can afford it or not. This is why things are the way they are in Black culture
@@NachoAverageFinds my father had a bussiness I will never forget when he bought me the shoes even the teachers were jealous also was dangerous people would do anything to get them still great memories
An interesting tidbit he mentioned in his sneaker shopping episode is that Nike actually partially owned the Shaq brand for a brief stint when he first started it, and the designs from that era were the most direct "ripoffs" of Jordans. The use of the elephant print and Jordan-esque silhouettes in those original designs were actually completely allowed by Nike, and remained present in the line from that early era onward.
I had a few pairs of shaqs growing up. I never cared if kids clowned on me for wearing them cuz at the end of the day I was wearing an NBA players shoes and paid a fraction of the price. Plus they were built like takes. Those things took a hell of a beating and still held up for years. Much respect
Glad they were quality shoes. I've only bought one pair of shoes from Wal Mart. A Starter brand I used to mow the lawn, and they didn't even last a year before getting holes in them, wearing them once a week for 6 months a year.
As a kid, those Shaq Walmart shoes were my fav ones growing up. I used them till the stitching gave way. Thanks for the walk down memory lane, great vid guys as always!

I remember the first models of the Shaq shoes, the better model of the Attack was a $35--$40 shoe that was well built probably about $60--$65 today. I almost bought them or Middle school Basketball never did high school due to size, but I was a size 6.5--7 at the time so they were a bit small for my foot when the models only started at size 8, but my dad had a pair for a number of years to play on a rec Volleyball league, cool since he was a Lakers fan as I was. Later the first runs of cheap models would hurt your feet if you got them, and it was hard to find the better model that Shaq wore normally even in actual shoe stores or sports shoes as if the shoes were thought of as a joke since the few models Walmart and K-mart had would be gone right away. Now I see places like Shoe Sensation and other similar discount but not cheap like Big box stores selling the better Shaq lines for people who need a $50--$60 lower end basketball shoe, they can't afford a $130+ shoe that others have or even the lower. These are the people that they have to use low end Filla or other Cheap shoes like Athletetech Walmart brand that hurt the feet.

Really liked this one guys. Shaq had some great designs and the mom story really moved me as someone who couldn’t afford nice shoes when I was young. Have a great day guys
Great vid, didn’t know they were originally Reebok. I guess when the history books are written on this, “affordability” will be the theme. But real talk, I remember when I was a boy in an urban environment, too poor for name brand shoes and desperate for anything that would get the other kids to stop ripping me apart over my secondhand clothing. I saw those “Air Shaqs” at, I think, Ames (a now defunct equivalent to Walmart) and thought they were a godsend, just as good as the Jordans but way cheaper. This was after Reebok stopped making them. I was never ripped on harder than when I showed up to school with them on, gleefully thinking I’d finally pass inspection but surprisingly failing worse than if I’d just worn the usual no name sneakers. It is a distinct memory even after decades remedied only by the fact that I was able to excel in school and make something of myself years later, leaving all those bullies in the dust. I know I’m not the only one this happened to.
Man, i'd had great memories with the shaqnosis my very first bball shoes. I remember that i would always get compliments when i wear them to school. For some reason i was the only one who had them.
Shaqnosis, my 2nd favourite sneaker after J11 Concords. it took me over 2 decades to finally get one, and I was so elated when I finally got my hands on them! funnily enough, my first pair of Shaq shoes was the Shaq Attaq 4 Gift Wrap. for a fat guy with flat feet, that was the most comfortable shoes I ever play ball in. hopefully, we'll get a pro retro of the Shaq, Kemp, and AI shoes. too bad we didn't get a boost version of em.
Bro. Shaq is probably the best MAN to ever play in the NBA. That tops any negative on his signature shoes or on court play. Dude is seriously one hell of a man.

Really liked this one guys. Shaq had some great designs and the mom story really moved me as someone who couldn’t afford nice shoes when I was young.
Have a great day guys
It was a pleasure to make. Shaq is such an awesome person. Thanks for watching
Great video! This is well informed. What's the background music? They're amazing and give the video more feeling
Nice One thank you, brings back memories
So where exactly was the fall??
I was so surprised going shopping for my son in Cali and running into these shoes. He loved them and I want to pickup more.
Oh man... I was hypnotized by the Shaqnosis back in the 90s.
Man, i'd had great memories with the shaqnosis my very first bball shoes. I remember that i would always get compliments when i wear them to school. For some reason i was the only one who had them.
Shaq with Wu-Tang is dope
Haha hell yeah it is
I wouldn't play in Shaq shoes, But man are they comfy as heck for just chillin. And insanely priced.
Great analysis of one of Shaq's sir quests
Appreciate it Donovan
Shaq attack 1 were the best and prettiest of em all
Just got a pair of reebok shaq attack superman pumps...love the clips of him bringing dwn the backboard.
Shaq also got a PHD in education and donates tons of toys for kids every year. The dude really loves to help kids.
I worned Shaq shoes it was worth it Man when I was elementary school
I for one thoroughly enjoyed playing Shaq Fu. And you know what, I also enjoyed watching Kazaam!
(I was like 8 though..)
Haha I watched Kazaam many times. I loved it when I was a kid.
Bro. Shaq is probably the best MAN to ever play in the NBA. That tops any negative on his signature shoes or on court play. Dude is seriously one hell of a man.
Shaq Fu!! Yeah I'm that old. The pumps were his best colab. Imo I have honestly considered grabbing a pair. Very underrated
It’s time to pick up a pair lol
Those Shaq-nosis shoes are hard AF
Shaq is such a cool guy. I remember buying some shaqs in 2003
Shaqnosis are still 🔥🔥 to this day, even the dame Collab was cool. Keep it up Nacho and Brian
I always hear about Shaq doing nice things for people and seems to be a genuinely good person
I have a pair of the Shaq ATTAQ in LSU colorway. Cool shoe just so bulky hard to wear casually
The Shaq 4 did come with a c02 cartridge! I had it in the 10th grade
Great video I don’t no how I missed this one.
