Thank you great suggestion about using generic cord. I appreciate you explaining it like some of us don't understand the whole process. You did an excellent job!
Watched so many videos but after watching your video, no need to watch any video. Very easy to understand, you made it so clear. Especially when nylon wire to be tied in opposite direction on spool and then to twist it to clockwise direction, nobody did like you. I wanted to see how to insert in that hole. You put it in opposite direction then turned towards clockwise. This is called thorough detail. Thanks again my friend. Have a wonderful long weekend
I'm a first time home owner and have to maintain my own lawn. I purchased a Worx mower and trimmer combo. This video explained everything I needed to know. Good job buddy.
Thank you for the helpful video. I went through several other videos on RUclips that only talked about how to replace the spool with a new one. I'm glad I found yours!
Thank you so much. I had to watch a lot of videos before I found yours. Your video is clear and concise and easy to see, easy to understand. Thanks again!
0.95 gauge works too, and lasts a heck of a lot longer than 0.65, great cost saving hack either way with the 0.95 you cant fit it through the guide hole inside the spool, and must use one of the temporary holding holes to start the wire from, and it cannot be pushed through from a parallel orientation, it must be guided through the holes from an end Bit more involved, but whacks through anything
I bought a work trimmer. It’s a pain in the ass. You gotta order replacement cartridges, whispering already on them you’ll never stop paying for the replacements. The first thing that went out with a string advance, I got rid of it and got me a Ryobi and all you have to do is replace the string you do just get regular string for it easy to install.
Does anyone read the manual, why do I never have to use the line feed. But why does the line disappear so fast. Every time you let off trigger & stop, it feeds 1/4 inch of line out automatically.
I haven’t received mine yet. That’s some helpful information. When I run it, I will let off the trigger less frequently so I don’t waste line. Thanks for the tip off. I’m guilty of not always reading all of the manual.
What a load of crap! Yes the instructions should be read, but when your last trimmer (Black & Decker) didn't have that feature that I'm aware of, you don't think that every stop and start feeds the line needlessly. lol Still F*dup after going through 2 spools in less than 1/2 hr. 😠
Not going to lie I've been locking up the line and never use the auto feed for like 2 years. Solely because I didn't know about the line feed. I don't know if I've ever seen the manual for my trimmer.
I would look for stronger quality spool 🧵 line with a water 💧 logo on it soak it 24 hours and that will help with making your line strong with less snapping
On my model I had to remove the spool and the line was tangled. I had to rewind it. Clean and debris in the spool. Make sure the line is feed in the direction it shows on the spool. ( Indicated by an Arrow symbol ). Also you have to make sure the string is the correct size or it wont work.
Do you have the correct size line? Take it apart clean it up Try this as a last resort, wind line in opposite direction as marked with arrows on spool.
I have been loading my trimmer spool correctly but within less than 5 minutes the entire spool empties out across the lawn. What am I doing wrong. ? So frustrated!!
I have a question for you Sir. I have the WG 163 GT3.0 and i wonder if I may clean it with a water hose after a few hours of use. Of-course it has a water pipe pressure. There is no comment on this anywhere. i have asked many time about the cleaning method of this trimmer and the only answer i had was to leave it as is. (Leave it dirty )

The 'Free trimmer string for life' is misleading, as the shipping for the replacement spools is 5 times $$ what it should be based on weight.
I just received my order and it cost $10.12 after tax for 6 spools...Ontario.
$10 shipping is a lot cheaper than paying $42 for 6 spools. It said in the video $14 for 2 spools.
This worked great, thanks!

Great video..Thanks for the help.
Your welcomd
if you belong to worx spool program all you do is pay for shipping all spools are free

Are you using correct diameter of line. Make sure the spool piece is snapped in place. Is it the Work Trimmer you are using or different model.
Do you find the "Twisted" replacement line to be better?
About the same. Didn't see much of a difference.

I have string that is stuck up in the head how do I get that out
I had string stuck I used pliers to remove it.
How do you make it feed the line automatically
Once you install spool it will automatically feed.
Very good
Thank you
bought the replacement spools from Worx and ever since my trimmer is messed up.
The spool keeps getting messed up 🤬🤬🤬
What line can I use for a worx model WG 160 , 20 V Max lithium?
Line size 0.065

I would be worried about getting the motor wet. If its not sealed water may damage it.
But it doesn’t feed automatic that’s the problem. We have to change it every five minute.
