Can we all just agree that the green lantern guardians are the worst at protecting the universe

how can they stop krypton from exploding and green lanterns stop space problems for every space thing they save another has its issues, even flash knows knows it is impossible to be in two places at once.

Fun Fact: Tamaran doesn't have any Green Lanterns because the sector it's in is in the same one as the Orange Lanterns. So they're staying away from their territory.
Overpowered: Because somebody thought that giving the goddamn Batman a superpower based on intelligence, imagination, and force of will was a good idea.
Even for Batman, Dawnbreaker is an uninteresting Gary Stu version because they were too lazy to have him be captured and escape via an actually interesting plot.

The Dawnbreaker embodies Batman's fear of letting power consume him, his inability to move on from his parent's deaths and how important is his discipline.
But also serves as one to Hal Jordan, as what he could have been had he chose to follow Sinestro's path.

My favorite alternate bruce so far, is murder machine, followed by dawn breaker then red death. Murder Machine because, batman was still a hero before he fell due to his own creation, the Alfred A.I., all because he did not want to be with out his last and only family, It even showed how vulnerable batman could be, to the point where he chose to ask help from others, something he normally does not do in comics, plus he is a twisted version of what I feel batman might become, a robot hellbent on Retribution, as bruce may try to make an A.I. of himself to transfer into a robot body, if ever he grows too old to fight crime . Dawn Breaker is second, because I can understand how the void of being alone can eat you up, destroy the good in you, and how much it can cause you to want to make everyone else like you, however I feel as though he is written with a couple of plot holes, like how does he live if not as a lantern, as it seems alfred is not in the comic, also I have hope for a fight between dawn breaker and Hal and Parallax(Hal) working together, as Hal may realize that to stop someone who killed a green lantern corp he will need the power of Parallax, who if I remember reappeared in the time Hal was the renegade, yet I don't think he reappeared after that, plus if parallax dies, hal may be powered up, or something like that. Lastly is the Red Death, I mean batman went way too crazy early, I mean he should be able to recreate the accident that gave barry his powers as he is that smart, I would have preferred if he tried it, got burnt like barry in flash point and then attacked barry. Also I don't feel that much of an impact with him, as he does re-tell the deaths of his allies, nor him seeming to avenge them, plus I find it kind of lame the way he beat barry, I mean even with all the tech of the rouges he had to resort to an underhand tactic of throwing him off with their conversation?, that made batman seem so lame, like where was his justice buster, or the hellcat, I mean they could have make him beat flash in a more badass way. but enough said, I think I just made an essay, on three event only character, when I should be studying for school.

I can't seem to find dawnbreaker interesting because of his motivation. It feels so weak compared to the others. Red death is the most compelling when I think about what could have driven Bruce to such an extreme. Murder Machine is just an alfred ai gone out of control. No character of Bruce really there.

Is there really a precedent for Bruce "letting the darkness into his ring" I hope they expand on how he's actually doing since it quite clearly has a massive strain on the body so I'd a assume the ring is directly tapped into his soul and that's why it's stronger but guardian level that's a bit of a stretch

Thank Nolan for that. Batman was popular to begin with but the second film realy made Batman a cashcow(ot a bigger one) for DC.
It's clearly Nekron giving him power. The Darkness. The Resurrection. The Creatures and the Void. It's all the traits of a Black Lantern.
Barbatos is the evil Batman version of Dr.Fate
So glad you asked Mr.Wayne. Here's why for those who join in the discussion. Dr. Fate is the combination of a human that is adept (usually) at magic or has a strong connection to it and a Lord of Order (Nabu). Reasons I'm banking on Barbatos being the equivalent to Dr.Fate are as follows.
1) Dr. Fate is now showing up to save every JL Member as they get their heads handed to them by their Dark Knight counterpart.
2) If you look at them everyone of them has a counter part which as we like to see in comics leads to a final mirror show down Dark Knights + Barbatos vs Justice League + Dr. Fate
3) (This is where we veer from comicbook patterns and get more into theory) Let's look at the differences from Bruce Wayne (Earth 0) and Bruce Wayne (- [insert number here])There is a continued theme of a darkness of soul. This darkness is most prominent in the Dawn Breaker, but I believe we see some of it with Red Death as well (the life force absorbing bats that he leaves in his wake)
4) There is a twisted sense of Justice in all of them thinking they're doing what's right. Barbatos believes he's balancing the scales and ultimately saving the multiverse. Dr. Fate has and has played a similar role in the past.
5) What would a broken darkened soul do to the Helmet of Fate? Think about it. When it crept into the Green Lantern ring it corrupted the emotional spectrum. One Persons soul did that. He's his universes version of blackest night all by himself. This means with the helmet , he's either twisted their Nabu's thoughts to his own or overwhelmed him with the darkness in his soul and corrupted or replaced the Lord of Order Nabu there.
6) in Latin Barbatos could also mean "bearded, old man of the demon of hell, philosopher". Nabu is often depicted as an old bearded man. He practices his philosophy by the way he acts and things he does "Order is all encompassing even if you sacrifice compassion, love, life, etc" And being depicted as heartless at times would have him compared to a demon.
7) Again these are just my thoughts I'm curious to see if I'm right. I was right about Red Hulk and some others months before they were revealed. So let's see what happens.

I have to say the Red Death is the coolest origin so far. Batman using the Rogues tools to stop Flash and then turning his Batmobile into a cosmic treadmill. Not to mention the suit looks awesome!
I loved Red Death but I'm really excited to learn about the Laughing Man and how Batman combined his detective/ insanity, with that of the Joker

Another great metal story. Though this is the weakest one for me so far. Because I think, it fits more if a red lantern ring came to him rather than green. Most of his feelings was anger and rage, though we can say, his will to kill and get his revenge confused the green lantern ring. And it's probably because of the theme since they are supposed to be amalgamations of the justice league members and batman that's why they kept it green rather than red.

2. At this point in time the red lanterns weren't established yet cause sinestro was still with the green lantern core.
3. It's an alternate universe.

Red Death is my favorite so far. I never cared for Batman much before but this is quickly becoming one of my favorite events. It's like a way better version of the new secret wars Marvel did with the multiverse dying.

Dawnbreaker is more vicious because he willingly gave himself to the power of the void if you look at the rest of the characters their experiences wasn't as willingly as his
DC Rebirth is the gift that keeps on giving, this was seriously one of the best one-shots i've read this year

How does the green lantern ring allow any of that cause killing wasn't allowed until the sinestro core showed up and that didn't happen when Bruce Wayne was young

Shrey Sacheti Bruce's willpower surpassed 100%, something i am sure no other lantern has done yet. True Hal is one of the most powerful Green Lanterns but his willpower didn't surpass 100% yet during this world.
But he killed Gordon green lanterns weren't allowed to kill around that time when Bruce was young
your right they weren't allowed to kill but bruce's will was so strong he subverted that restriction in the ring think of it like the ring has the will to keep a green lantern from killing but bruce's will was stronger so that altered the ring to where he can kill

This is actually fucking stupid. First, he would get a red lantern, second his will can't override the ring JUST CAUSE HE BATMAN like seriously its starting to get stupid.
Also just cause they're all elseworld connecting stories doesn't excuse that somehow batman is the most evil one of them all and somehow kills all the justice league that's just ridiculous.
