The chef has a really deep understanding of how to use spice. He doesn't just think more is better or try to come up with strong flavors just for the sake of it, he understands how to orchestrate the spices to make them accentuate the inherent flavors that are already present in his ingredients. Sounds easy but it takes a lot of knowledge and practice to get to that level of expertise.
Big cities, lots of cultural influences. I live in the country now, and I tell u I miss the foods, stores. I don’t miss the sirens, traffic tho y’all can keep that! Lol

I've been here 3 times and each time I've waited 2 hours. Honestly, worth EVERY MINUTE! I know this video focuses on sweet flavours, but one visit they had a lamb curry eggs benedict special, and it was so freaking delicious. This video just confirms that they put a lot of time and research into keeping the authenticity of what may seem like non-standard/ethnic flavours whilst keeping it fun and catering to all!
Impressive right? No matter your background you can do it too. There are people that come from war ridden third world countries that have no English speaking ability open a successful business in the US. Crazy right?

I have the privilege of living close to this place and every time I’ve gone in the servers are sooooo nice and seem even excited to be there. The entire energy of that place is so bright and happy.
I've heard great things about this restaurant and the owner is actually from my neck of the woods. They were planning to build one near me but COVID may have halted that for a hot minute.
I love how the chef is thinking about what the person eating the result is expecting and just going with colors and flavors that enhance the "end user" experience. Super clever...and specific specials. Yes...his laugh is lovely.🥰 I'm sure it shows up in his food!
I love that is a black-owned business but I'm going to keep it real he lost his main Chef the food is not as good as it used to be anymore I wish you all the luck
I went there 6 years ago and it was delicious! My fiance went there for the first with his family 2 years ago and said the chicken was burnt, food was late and everything else not that great. I guess that explains his experience. :(

I’ve done the flights so many times and it’s still hard to choose a favorite 🥴 I’ve had many of their specials- mango, matcha, banana pudding, champagne, bourbon, peaches & creme, etc. Banana pudding is still my favorite 😩
You may think French toast is French toast, but I can attest that this restaurants French toast is 10/10. Marinating it in the flavored batter really makes the difference.
