    My bf came to visit me from Quebec for the first time a few summers ago. He suggested that we shop for ingredients for hot chicken sandwiches and I said I can’t do spicy food. He goes “hot chicken sandwiches aren’t spicy.” That’s how I found out the difference between a Canadian hot chicken sandwich and a Nashville hot chicken sandwich. He was also astounded that we don’t have hot chicken sauce which I thought was funny :)

      Strangely enough has a Québecer i found out nashville hot chicken was a thing like 3 years ago, at 8:08 I think that the north dakota "hot beef sandwich" must have been influence by our hot chicken sandwich, or vice versa. Even more because we share a border with them. Our hot chicken is often serve with fries or mash potato too. Strangely similar dish!!

And it does not sound like something I’d want to eat more than once (if that)... and even then, only a fraction of the sandwich they showed. And considering Colorado is consistently one of the healthiest states, I do not see this being something that most people here eat.

    I have lived in Eastern Idaho almost all my life. I have NEVER, EVER heard of the PB & Huckleberry J as "Idaho's Favorite Sandwich". I must admit, other states have a "cuisine". Being famous for potatoes, Idaho is famous for a SIDE DISH. Sandwiches may not be our thing, but potato bread is a thing. Also, adding potatoes to a raised donut dough makes it so light and fluffy - Spudnuts can't be beat!!!!

    New York sandwich is a bacon, egg and cheese on a roll (Kaiser roll), the whole lox and cream cheese is for a few, specially since they’re about $7-9 a sandwich.
    You can have lox, cream cheese on a bagel once in a while, a baconeggancheese you can have for breakfast, lunch, dinner and as a snack.

    • @broissey
      @broissey 4 года назад +5

      lol ya, I was surprised when the bacon, egg and cheese wasn't listed as NY's sandwich. I've been in NYC my whole life and I don't think I've ever had a bagel with lox. I know they're popular though, but nowhere near as popular as the bacon egg and cheese on a roll.

    “You can find a Cuban sandwich in almost every menu in Florida” is false! Maybe in Miami but not everywhere else

      The Cuban sandwich isn't even from Miami. It was invented in Tampa. Its much more prominent in the Tampa Bay area then Miami.

      I'm from Missouri and have never seen a burnt end sandwich on any menu. Burnt ends are popular but not on sandwiches. Some places have pork steak sandwiches or even strip steak sandwiches, those are unique but not popular. I'd have to say pulled pork would be most popular but I dont think that's a uniquely Missouri sandwich. I dont think any state eats as much pork steaks as Missouri tho so I'd have to go with that eventhough most people just serve it with bread on the side rather than a sandwich.

      Hotdog is a type of sub sandwhich. Kinda like subway or even an italian beef. You don't slice the bread all the way through. If you slice the bread all the way through, then it is just a sandwhich. Some of these are what I call "super sandwhich" because the bread completely incloses the entire thing. This is like a hot pocket.

      @@bridgetconnaghan9006 oh they are different but they all fall under the same parent group of sandwich. Basically my argument is built on the whole idea of calling a sub sandwich a sandwich. Like if you take a hotdog, turn it sideways and put different stuff in it then it is now a sub sandwich.
