    After my mother passed away almost 20 years ago, we started to dig out her room and we found about 46 pairs of shoes and slippers. Almost all were never worn. Most still in wrappers from the mail order house she did her ordering from. This was shortly before Thanksgiving, so my wife contacted one of the centers that provide support to the needy. They asked if I could bring them to the center the day after Thanksgiving. When I went to the delivery dock, they had me go upstairs to the main center. The person who greeted me told me that they were having a luncheon for needy woman. I was then asked to come into the room and explain what I had brought in. My mom wore the most common size and there were a few up and down the size chart.
    I never had so many hugs in life. I had to shower when I got home from perfume overload, but it was worth it. Some of the ladies said they never had such nice shoes before. Made my day!

    • @mizinoinovermyhead.7523

      You've never had some of the neighbors I've had. HOA's tend to restrict certain things like how you keep your property, and what hours during the day you can do things. I currently live without one, my neighbor is basically running a trash museum in his yard with confederate flags all over the place, has an ATV that has no muffler that he runs at 3 am, and so on. His land looks like a dumpster and it seriously impacts property values of all the land around him, and add to this the guys son beats his girlfriend nd refuses to do anything the police tell him. An HOA would have prevented all of them from moving in.

    • @kikixchannel
      @kikixchannel 4 месяца назад +5

      @@mizinoinovermyhead.7523 Or he might live in a different country. In countries within Europe, while there may be something similar to HOA depending on the country (with far less power than HOA though, and usually restricted...like for appartment buildings, not stand-alone houses), there is no need for that to prevent things you talked about. Your freedom ends where another persons freedom starts. If you have a trash heap on your land and it gets in the way of your neighbors due to smell, people can call police on you. If you're having a loud workshop and are noise-polluting the area all the time...again, they can call the cops and you WILL have to stop your business if necessary. Loud jobs require their places to meet certain criteria.
      Of course, there's a limit. If someone isn't a nuisance per say, just annoys you because he has flags all over for example, that ain't gonna fly. A person can have their artistic vision on their property (so long as it's not loud, poorly maintained, dangerous and/or smelly).

    • @mizinoinovermyhead.7523

      @@kikixchannel yeah you’ve likely never dealt with actually trying to get any of this done. My neighbors for instance keep getting warnings and fines and ignoring it all. If the punishment is a fine then it’s only a poor persons problem. HOAs can leverage fines into removal. Police cannot. At least not easily.

    • @kikixchannel
      @kikixchannel 4 месяца назад +2

      @@mizinoinovermyhead.7523 You have no idea what you're talking about.
      In Europe getting someone out of a house/appartment is difficult. It has nothing to do with whether police can do it or not. It's simply that peoples rights are more strongly protected, period.
      As for your neighbors, it's just a proof of the police in this case not giving a damn. For notoriously interfering with public order, police could easily arrest them instead of just giving fines.

    • @Crystan
      @Crystan 4 месяца назад +4

      @@mizinoinovermyhead.7523 You can literally deal with that through the police. Why would you willingly allow yourself to be fined for petty reasons under the ever changing rules of a HOA? It's literally just restricting what YOU can do with YOUR property. I thought Americans were all about freedom, but HoA's are literally the antithesis of that.

      Speaking of non-lethal force, here's a story told to me by my father:
      Many long years ago, there was a farmer who had a field of potatoes.
      While walking the field one day, the farmer noticed that someone had hopped the fence and dug up several plants, taking the potatoes; possibly as much as a sack-full. Further monitoring of the situation demonstrated that this was happening on a regular basis.
      The farmer had an old muzzle-loading shotgun, so he loaded it with just "saltpeter" and nothing else. This stuff goes "bang" and throws out red-hot soot but not much more. The farmer then hid in the field, waiting for the thief. Late at night, someone comes up to the fence holding a sack and climbs over.
      The farmer waited until the thief bent over to pull up a potato plant before letting fly with the shotgun, aiming for exactly the target presented most prominently by that pose.
      There was a screech from the thief followed by a rapid departure, minus the sack.
      As an epilogue, nobody bothered to call the police but the farmer heard "on the grapevine" a few days later that the thief was claiming to have contracted pleurisy (an infection of the lining around the lungs, I think) from being shot in the rear that night.
      This was so silly that the farmer's response when told this tale was to comment sarcastically, "sure, he got Midnight Pleurisy - out of the end of a shotgun."

    I live in an HOA community, but fortunately, it's the type of development where people move because they want peace & quiet. And that mindset extends to the HOA board as well--they just want the board to do the management chores and otherwise leave them alone. In the 13 years I've lived here, there have been a couple times when the board has gotten a bit too aggressive with enforcing the rules, and the residents very quickly exercised the article in the bylaws that allows a 2/3 majority of the residents to remove a board member mid-term. I was on the board for 3 years, and the only time we got really aggressive with the rules was when we had a house where drugs were being sold, so we absolutely harassed them without mercy, assuming they wouldn't dare call the cops, until they moved. And the residents fully supported us on that one.

      On this side of the world, all you can legally do is report them, and all that usually happens (if anything) is that they get fined somewhere around $750 (not sure of the exact amount but I believe it's in the right ball-park as the Americans say).

    4:20 end tipping culture. It's disgusting that the blame and responsability, of delivery guys having a livable wage, falls directly onto the customer. And dont give me the "if the employer has to pay more, they will raise the prices", you are already paying more because of the tips. Everywhere else in the world, we have normal prices and delivery people get paid what they are owed, they dont have to guilttrip customers into getting their salary. It's not the customer's responsability to pay for the salaries, it's the boss' job to do that.

      Wages in the United States are stagnant while profitability has gone through the roof and so has productivity. So they're not paying the worker a living wage but they're making money hand over fist because of the worker they're not paying right.
      I started working in about 1974 minimum wage was $1.85 or $2.35. I believe that was Federal minimum wage I could be wrong. Federal wage today is $7.25 So in 50 years minimum wage has gone up not quite $5. Has the price of anything else risen that slowly?

    2:10 "people don't apologize when they're in the wrong anymore, they just double down" except the woman did apologize and then instead of saying yeah I'll get over it or I really needed it or don't worry about it She said "You're obviously not that sorry since you parked in a spot you shouldn't have"
    So where is it that people don't apologize? Hmmm, and it's always great to have the excuse of "hormonal"
    I actually like it when businesses put out special parking spaces for like veterans or for purple Heart veterans or expected mothers, the expectant mother ones though are the ones that I think are taking advantage of more than any other because you can get a woman that will park there that's not pregnant and if anybody says hey wait a minute that's for pregnant women "Oh well I am pregnant I'm just not showing yet" sorry that's not what it's for It's for the expected mother that is actually uncomfortable and such If you're not even showing yet you don't need it. Or it says expectant mother but then you've got the mom who has the baby or has the 2-year-old and is still using the 2-year-old or 4-year-old as an excuse to take that space, the way I see it if anybody has any reason to take that space like this 60-year-old maybe she had bad knees Yeah that's not what it's for but these things are so misused anyway that get over it and when she said "Oh I'm sorry I didn't realize" I know that the writer of the story said and then she laughed at her, but it was more likely like a nervous laugh like I screwed up haha... And where she says and she felt the need to confront me, saying "I'm sorry I didn't realize isn't a confrontation." The real Karen here is the pregnant lady that wants to blame her shitty behavior on hormones. We need to start using that excuse, when we've done crappy stuff everywhere, Oh it's my hormones! Oh I'm sorry, I ran over you in a car, Oh it's the hormones!, oh I killed your kitten? It's the hormones!

    • @victoriaanderson7954
      @victoriaanderson7954 3 месяца назад

      Obviously you've never been pregnant or in a relationship of any type with a pregnant person. Hormonal issues are real and we deal with them every month. So mess with a woman who's pregnant or on her period and see what hormones get you. You should be ashamed of yourself.
      If it weren't for women and their hormones you would not be here.

    I wonder about something. Say parents have a house in an HOA but die (both).
    Do the kids inheriting have to honor a contract they never saw, signed, or agreed to?
    Reserves special parking is unconstitutional. It is reverse discrimination but discrimination just the same.
    Handicrapped persons are the ones LEAST likely to need a reserved spot as they have far more time to do anything vs a regular person.
    Pregnant women are instructed by their doctors to do as much WALKING as possible. Reserved close spaces just for them is counter to proper medical advice.
    He should have gotten a restraining order against the HOA and that Karen the moment he had a problem.

I give 'em 30 seconds and cut if off if they start off with a totally unrelated story I know it is a click bait and the title is hid somewhere if at all and probably at the end of a long boring superfluous information video that is about everything but the title.

    I honestly don't agree with the first one . No the woman should not have parked in that spot but to say the woman laughed AT her is obviously her own feeling of what happened. I do it a lot where I would apologize to someone and try to laugh about it to make light of it cuz a parking space is not that serious. People dealt with not having these spaces for ever but once they are put in place that gives the actual Karen's out there a reason to call molain and moan about people who take the spot. What my pet peave is people who actually take the handicap parking spot when they are legally considered handicap but are walking normally and faster than me but a person in a wheelchair can't have that spot now cuz of these "legally" handicap people who can walk and dont physically look like they have anything wrong with them at all. I'm a NEMT driver and I pick up people and wheelchairs manual wheelchairs and walkers people who can't barely walk and I drive a vehicle that shows on my medical transport vehicle and people think that they can say to me that I can't park in a spot because the driver isn't handicap when clearly my passenger is. And clearly my vehicle is a medical transport and people like to argue with me when I park in the handicap spot waiting for my handicap passenger and try to tell me I can't park there when we all can so if you ever see a non-emergency medical transport in a handicap spot don't go up to a driver and try to argue with him how he cannot park there because legally they have every right

      I guess in the US it there is no real difference other than it is closer to the building. Here in Germany on the other hand parking spaces are way smaller. Parking for disabled but also Mutter-Kind-Parkplätze (for mothers with children) are more spacious. So it is easier to get them out of their seats and into the stroller. It also ensures the surrounding cars don't get damaged. In addition to that we have special parking for women in parking garages which are closer to the entrance, better lit and more intensely surveilled in order to reduce crimes. That said: only parking for disabled is legally reserved parking. Meaning you get fined if you park there without a Plaque. The others everyone can park in legally. But be prepared for disapproving looks.
