that's what the veyron is all about. a insanly fast car withe the luxury of a limo. this is why it will always be better than any other cars that are maybe faster like the agera r or other ones.
That's the main point of this car it's fast as hell but it's still comfy for say every day if you wanted, a lot of the newer now fast cars the ride quality is crap because all they want is power & to be the fast production car
The car is amazing. The tires alone cost $25,000 a set and they can only be taken off the rims in France at an additional cost of $70,000. A replacement transmission costs $120,000. You don't want to hear the rest. George Vreeland Hill
It's not tuned to it's maximum potential I'd say it's capable of 1500 without changing very many hard parts maybe from a stock one with a much aggressive tune. ,more boost
The Veyron really is, in every aspect, the Concorde of cars : too fast, too expensive, too luxurious, over-engineered and utterly unnecessary, but also an absolutely outstanding technological achievement, a testimony to what mankind is capable of, and an icon that will be remembered for decades. And that is why I think it is true, more than any car of our era, to Ettore Bugatti's motto : "Nothing is too beautiful, nothing is too expensive."
Unfortunately the most amazing statistic about this incredible car is that it's $2 million. There's simply too much poverty on this planet to be selling and buying cars at this price.
Definitely not the best looking car on the road..but it is strangely beautiful. Kind of reminds me a of a pug...so ugly it's beautiful. My biggest gripe is the sound... wish they would have put a large V12 in it instead of that 16. That motor just sounds strange.
Really has got to be one of the most impressive automobiles on the globe !! Top notch Thank you for sharing the new video But I would need a top instructor just to drive this John
God damn you people are fucking stupid. You really know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about engineering, not even the basic, so don't try to talk about cars that are so complex that your tiny IQ < 60 mind would stop working if you just tried to understand. And no, I'm not a fanboy, I'm just someone who knows a lot about cars, certainly more than you know about everything else you know about combined.
I don't think it will be one of the most desired classic cars in the world. If you look at the Bugatti before the veyron, it's not too desired. Normally the most desired cars in the world are not well engineered but well designed (i.e. aesthetics) like the Bugatti's in the 1930's. It will keep it's value well but won't cost 10x the price in 80 years time.
I have to say. it looks a lot better with that paintjob than the one I saw in Top Gear (with the ridiculous Black and Orange look, seriously I nearly pulled by eyes out just by looking at it)
Bugatti Veyron Super Sport The engine is fed by four turbochargers and displaces 7,993 cubic centimetres (487.8 cu in), with a square 86 by 86 mm (3.4 by 3.4 in) bore and stroke. Raphanel made passes around the big oval in both directions achieving an average maximum speed of 431.072 km/h (267.856 mph) Now that is what I call a performance automobile John
@VitalMusic217 That was the world-record edition and costs 1.95 Million Euro (5 pieces only). That's the All-Carbon one (1.85Mio. €) and there's a "Standard" Edition for 1.65Mio.
@Adrenalinism obviously they cant install wider tires...so the only thing u can do is install slick dragster tires not for road use but to achieve a better 0-100 time !! A slick tire with the factory setup can make the veyron go approx. 0.1XX sec faster I believe :P
they built the bugatti veyron super sport specifically to beat the SSC Ultimate Aero when it broke the top speed record (256 miles an hour), it wasn't built just for a better performance rating.
@kingflyer223 Normal Veyron does 0-60 in 2.8-2.9, the SS does it in 2.5-2.6... As for your question about the price... I actually went and did some research and the Agera only costs $1,400,000 compared to the normal $1,600,000 Veyron not to mention the $2,600,000 SS version of the Veyron. The Agera R package costs $211,000 along with the $1.4 Million = $1,611,000. This is only a tad more expensive then the normal Veyron but the Agera R will out perform it and keep pace with the Veyron SS
He is an established motoring journalist. Basically you have to be known in the automotive circle for the car companies to lend you their cars for reviews.
The front end of the car, and interior look better than the original Veyron I think. The first one wasn't ugly by any means (in my book), but this one just looks nicer especially the interior of this particular car. The top aero treatment though I don't like as much as the original car. Too bad they don't make a 'normal' version of this car weighing roughly 12-1500lbs less with around 400bhp just for me lol. Love the looks, don't care much for the extra speed. Kei
@QcLoic The dampers and suspension is adaptive, and uses space age technology that adapts to the road surface in milliseconds. The engine is VERY manageable at every speed.
yup thats why the Koenigsegg Agera S is in HK, and Hundra will be shipped to there as well. wait, i also forgot there's a Zonda R, Huryra, Apollo S, Zonda S/F, 3 Cinque, Zonda Absolute 599GTO, 62S, Superleggera EDIZIONE TECNICA, Bugatti Pur Sang/Grand Sport, DMC Aventador, McLaren SLR, McLaren F1, Enzo, CLK GTR, One-77, Miura, XJ220... I'm fine with where I am (:
@warmaker911 i am not disputing the methods of carjacking or the risk of having your vehicle carjacked. my point is there are a few cars in the world, so rare that there is nop point in stealing them because the whole car is worth more than separate parts, or is built in so little numbers, or is so well known to the public it just can not be used on the road or on a track. i think the veyron supersport, like the ferrari 250 gto is one of those cars. (maybe it would work for a regular veyron tho)
For REAL, what's so good about this car? Its linear-shaped lights remind me of a 2001 VW Touareg, the grille doesn't even look cool/sporty at ALL, the coupe/dashboard reminds me of an old Audi TT, yet I have to say, the behind is abit round, but hawt. The engine is probably the only thing (I) and you all guys love about it
lol same in hong kong... we have a 100% First Registration Tax meaning if your car cost USD 500,000 you are paying USD 1M at the end so being able to afford a car in hong kong is much harder than in the states
"Quackers" I like the car and I definitely love the idea of more power (even with 1000hp being alot by itself) but I also really think that they should've tried to take advantage of some form of weight shedding. WAY TOO HEAVY! Personally, an Underground Racing 1500whp Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera for just a fraction of this Veyron SS price sounds ALOT more intriguing in all honesty.
@KenoxProductions what is wrong with their production line? why can't they make more than 30 of these? this car is about 10 times better than the standard veyron in my book.
Agera R topspeed is only theoretical.. -.- However, the Agera R does hold the world record for 0-300-0 kph, and if you skip the launch (where the buggati's AWD system helps it achieve 2.5 sec 0-100) the Agera R is actually faster when it comes to acceleration.
@Tippotipo it has been reviewed, it has been driven, it has been sold to people. i have never heard any of your other claims, so i dont believe them either. the aero is a sucess, the tuatara is even better, and the amount of improvement the ssc has had during its short life is astonishing.
@holdenpi I'd actually venture out here and say that if you have heard of Koenigsegg and are choosing to buy one over the rest of the hyper cars out there... Your probably a fairly good driver because you will probably know what your getting into. Why do you think a million horsepower would make the handling better???
@imnodoubtflatout There is limiting factors: street legal tyres and tarmac. Being lightweight at high speed becomes irrelevant, aerodynamics are the key. Reliability is very important which is why Veyron use aeronautic materials rather than conventional methods like SSC did. Problem with SSC is how they went into the hiding for three years without letting anyone test drive the UA suggesting the car is not good at all as daily driver.
@Robotron9000 thats a good point but having such a fast car and buy so much gas is completely unneccesary cause u can be completely happy driving a normal car
@holdenpi Well... when they tested the CCX they did so without the rear spoiler, which when not added to a RWD car that is pushing 800+hp is going to be a problem... The Agera has great grip and is literally pushed onto the track with tons of downforce. Its a little more difficult to drive yes... But anythings more difficult to drive then an AWD automatic ;) Don't you think Koenigsegg learned from that?
you can buy 34 trucks with the capital required for this then you can use those trucks to pay for your own veyron after 20 months ---this is including the time taken to pay off your initial truck investment.
one question, i love the veyron dont get me wrong, but i wasnt always a big fan of the body design, and if im honest wouldnt there be a more erodynamic design then that? or is that the best of the best?
@kingflyer223 nah as tested by autocar it averaged 2.6 in two directions, the standard veyron also does 2.6, it simply cant go any faster due to its mass and traction limits
@twztd28 they might have changed a little, but to change from a pure racing car to something that handles really well would be against their core idea. so i don't expect the agera r to be more than a little bit better in handling. the problem is that 99 out of 100 drivers including people that might buy the agera r is that if they can't handle the agera r with even a million horsepower, it doesn't mean much. whereas even michael schumacher can at least appreciate the comfort of a veryron ss.
@OneGuitarGuy Still. It would be interesting to see the result. You can't really max one out in many places other than VW's test track either, yet they made it. Still. It would be the same amount of power moving around less weight. It MIGHT make it accelerate faster.
Cars like the Agera R and the Hennessey Venom have a higher theoretical top speed than the Veyron SS but can't prove it. I personally think that the Agera R CAN get close, but i don't know about the Venom. I've seen a few documentaries about the Veyron and how it is built and i have to say that it took a lot of research and investment and years of hard work. The best part is that the Veyron isn't even a full on road racer but a refined Grand Tourer made for long distance journeys.
@DeereK13 I'm talking about building the skyline to 1k+hp but the part would be illegal in the street and what's the point driving in the autobahn, it just be boring..while the veryron is 1k hp but the part is not illegal.
@EatmyDust1311 Yes, it would exist! The Super Sport model is an evolution of the regular Veyron. It's a completely normal, to produce limited edition with more power and higher top speed.
Lets be frank here. SSC was desperate to build Bugatti Veyron record. The company first wanted to beat McLaren F1 top speed with their base Aero (750hp) until Koenigsegg and later Bugatti beat it. Then after, SSC raised the spec closely to Veyron with their supercharged engine (1024bhp) to later switch to twin turbo. Only one UA model was specifically made for the record using race fuel. Clearly, SSC wanted glory yet never let anyone reviewing or test driving the car.
@The70srockfan yes it does, and it needs one. It's not a regular auto either btw, but a manual is out of place in this car...and I'm a guy that ALWAYS prefers the manual option. Kei
that's what the veyron is all about. a insanly fast car withe the luxury of a limo. this is why it will always be better than any other cars that are maybe faster like the agera r or other ones.
Agera R is whole lot faster than this bug
Agera R made 1200 HP Veyron look like a VW Polo 😂
Agera r goes to 260 they said pretty sure 267 is a larger number then that
By far the best specs on any Bugatti in the world. Congrats to whoever is blessed with owning this.
I have never seen someone drive a Veyron without smiling or laughing.
That's the main point of this car it's fast as hell but it's still comfy for say every day if you wanted, a lot of the newer now fast cars the ride quality is crap because all they want is power & to be the fast production car
This car is like a Bentley only a lot faster.
I love super sports. They look so beast.
Terrific review Steve. I very much enjoy your reviews. You are on if the top three auto journos in my humble opinion.
It's the Concorde of the Road!
#stevesutcliffe
Wooaw
Speed doesn't kill, stopping suddenly does.
Wow... the sounds are amazing... likes a jetplane sound....
that's the wind
The car is amazing.
The tires alone cost $25,000 a set and they can only be taken off the rims in France at an additional cost of $70,000.
A replacement transmission costs $120,000.
You don't want to hear the rest.

W16 4 turbo to get 1200hp, loads of tech which rise the curb weight up to 2 tons. Good job.........
It's not tuned to it's maximum potential I'd say it's capable of 1500 without changing very many hard parts maybe from a stock one with a much aggressive tune. ,more boost
sid johnson the engines can produce 3000 hp but it started melting both itself and the equipment during testing.
It can crank 3000hp but 40 intercooler will needed.
ROCKETGUN BOOMBS If stuff is melting then its not possible
It's possible but 40 intercooler need to be install.
I never thought the veyron was a particularly good looking car, but this one looks brilliant, there's something about it.
Is it me, or does he look like Michael De Santa from Grand Theft Auto 5?
Fortnite
More like Mike Brewer of Wheeler Dealers
The Veyron really is, in every aspect, the Concorde of cars : too fast, too expensive, too luxurious, over-engineered and utterly unnecessary, but also an absolutely outstanding technological achievement, a testimony to what mankind is capable of, and an icon that will be remembered for decades. I would have the Grand Sport Vitesse Veyron. :-)
super sport*
thank you there are actually people who know what they are talking about on the internet
It may be fucking ugly, however you cannot deny that it is a technical masterpiece.
ikr but it depends on what paint u put on
yeah except its not ugly
that biker was one lucky dude, to even get to see this car in actual person
Unfortunately the most amazing statistic about this incredible car is that it's $2 million. There's simply too much poverty on this planet to be selling and buying cars at this price.
Mate, you deserve a medal for that comment. I take my hat off to you. You're a legend! :)

The car looks stunning looking. It is just not like the sharp angles of a Ferrari.
+FrogSqueal Ahh finally someone who understands me :)
Only the color is pretty (but that's not enough). Other than that? Meh...
Really has got to be one of the most impressive automobiles on the globe !!
Top notch
Thank you for sharing the new video

John
Wow... really stunning
Still the coolest auto on the road today !!
THanks for sharing the news
John Guitar Solo
is is why i have gta 5
One and only car in the world that holds, absolute class, luxury, performance, joy, it is like no other, the best world has ever seen.
pagani zonda r would destroy this car in any race other than a stupid drag race
i think your right but unlike the zonda and hyura the veryron looks nice
.......r u serious, u think a turtle beetle looks better than both of paganis spaceships?
i most definitely do. but thats just my opinion. to each his own so if you like pagani more then thats cool
at least u answered properly not like some fanboy on utube
as long as its your personal preference,

That car is a beast! I love it. But the price is also unreal. Don't love the price.
Still as amazing as ever in the 2020😍

im amazed how the car has soo much performance yet it so bloody quiet
I think these are really great looking, and the exposed weave is so sweet
Nice car. Made.by real men for real men. Respect!
@BaseAndAcid that would be difficult. it actually wears down the tires and uses up a ton of gas to get it up to its top speed of 285.
I have to say. it looks a lot better with that paintjob than the one I saw in Top Gear (with the ridiculous Black and Orange look, seriously I nearly pulled by eyes out just by looking at it)
If I was driving that car I would never take my eyes off the road.

well 1.7 million give you priceless happiness , pride and what else you can imagine
@deejaycyrax a standard veyron engine can get up to 3000hp when they say that it puts out 1001hp they actually mean its limited to 1001hp.

I got just one word for this car:Gorgeous!!!Simply Gorgeous,a master piece!!!
I would like to see how the "more definitive on the center" steering wheel would react in a small hand trembling when you're doing say 240mph!!!
@QcLoic The dampers and suspension is adaptive, and uses space age technology that adapts to the road surface in milliseconds. The engine is VERY manageable at every speed.
You know, I've always thought, "my current Veyron is so slow, wish they had a faster version" Looks like someone answered my prayers.

@TheVladika1990 wrong, it was made in direct response to ssc taking thier record.
Beautiful exterior colour and wheel combination

I like the car and I definitely love the idea of more power (even with 1000hp being alot by itself) but I also really think that they should've tried to take advantage of some form of weight shedding. @DriftKing781 it is street legal and u could always drive it on the autobahn if u wanted...
@KenoxProductions what is wrong with their production line? why can't they make more than 30 of these? this car is about 10 times better than the standard veyron in my book.
@steflotti105 and thats without the top speed key, so the wing is deployed, which bugatti say quite drastically affects performance above 160mph
I love the way they make a limited run of 30 then call it a production car.
Agera R topspeed is only theoretical.. -.-
However, the Agera R does hold the world record for 0-300-0 kph, and if you skip the launch (where the buggati's AWD system helps it achieve 2.5 sec 0-100) the Agera R is actually faster when it comes to acceleration.
amazing!! for the regular veyron each of its tires cost $25000. that is One 2012 Nissan GTR i can by with 4 Tires that is crazy!!!
@Tippotipo it has been reviewed, it has been driven, it has been sold to people. i have never heard any of your other claims, so i dont believe them either. the aero is a sucess, the tuatara is even better, and the amount of improvement the ssc has had during its short life is astonishing.
this car gets from 0 to 60 faster then the fastest roller-coaster at the six flags in my city
@MrNatinayel 25000$ is the price of the set which means 4 tires but still insane
@holdenpi I'd actually venture out here and say that if you have heard of Koenigsegg and are choosing to buy one over the rest of the hyper cars out there... I don't care what anyone says but the Veyron got the most special and awesome sound a car can have!
So acording to hus calculations, it will go 560?
I said 250... 250 X 2 = 500 + 60 = 560...
you can buy 34 trucks with the capital required for this then you can use those trucks to pay for your own veyron after 20 months ---this is including the time taken to pay off your initial truck investment.
This guy has the BEST job in the world.
(pending personal tastes of course)
Finally, they chose a nice colour scheme for the SS :)
Great car/ video. But forgot to mention the 270mph top speed??
one question, i love the veyron dont get me wrong, but i wasnt always a big fan of the body design, and if im honest wouldnt there be a more erodynamic design then that?
or is that the best of the best?
@VitalMusic217 you can have it painted, it must have been borrowed from a private owner
Now this is what Im talking about

Cause the Bugatti is too damn hideous to bother look at
