The anal hygiene shit was amusing when Ethan first got into it because it was a rare deep dive into a taboo topic that's relevant to all of our daily lives. But at this point, it's pretty boring. It's simply a wasted opportunity when you spend your time with Eric Andre giving him a lengthy medical questionnaire.

Ethan, my man, I get that you want the interview to sound natural, but you NEED a list of prewritten questions for interviews like this. It got pretty hard to listen to, and it seemed like you were grasping for anything to ask but couldn't think of anything. A list of 20 or so questions about a person's career, specific movies/shows/etc, deep cuts about how something was done, really would have kept this interview moving smoothly. You don't have to use it, but it provides a serious safety net.

Maybe not personal life (we know about bill burr) but fun stories. With Eric, I feel he got bored at some points, and guests love talking about themselves and love to think about their life.

My brother had a major seizure when he was a toddler, the ones where they nearly fry your brain. He had to relearn how to talk, walk, use the potty, etc. I was born by the time and I was just a lil baby, my brother couldn’t speak English at first for a minute either. He spoke Passamaquoddy because for some reason that stuck with him throughout it all, to this day he wasn’t supposed to ever be able to walk, talk, etc. Hes now 21, he’s got a gal, a kid, a nice job, and he’s a goddamn engineer who started off self taught. He supposedly has brain damage but he’s one of the most brilliant individuals I’ve known, brain damage cannot ruin your child’s life, Ethan. There’s always hope sometimes, and miracles can happen. I thank Koluskap and the universe for saving him to this day
