    Thank you for saying do not remove a piercing while it is infected, because you can cause it to trap the infection. I work in a pharmacy and have several piercings. I am the go to person when someone comes in with a piercing or tattoo questions. Their second question is always should I remove my piercing? I am like no! Please keep the piercing in, because it will trap the infection and could cause a blood infection.
    I had a customer come in 2 months after asking me said question. They to tell me that I was very knowledgeable and wished they had taken my advice. They ended up with an infection in their blood, had to have infusions of antibiotics and so on and so forth.

    I heard this girl talking about how she got her belly button piercing a week ago and she was gonna change it that day. 2 days later she's crying asking the teacher to go to the nurse because her belly button is leaking blood and puss. I was laughing, I've had mine for 6 months and I still don't think I should change it.

      +Crowley Banana Exactly! That wasn't a very smart decision on her part! Rule #1 is to never change a piercing when it isn't healed yet.

    Personally with me, I made the mistake of wearing high-waisted pants/shorts. It would always get irritated, and was pretty uncomfortable. Now that it's healed I always wear high-waisted stuff, and depending on how high-waisted your pants/shorts are it might slightly agitate the piercing.

    I got my belly button pierced and the woman had no clue what she was doing she pierced it so close to the surface that I could see the bar fully and also she gave me no information on how to clean it or that I shouldn't turn it. it rejected very quickly I took it out before it fully pushed the rest of the way out. then I went to kaleidoscope in springfield Mo. and a guy there pierced my belly button I'm going on my fifth month and it is healing nicely.

    About getting a bottom navel piercing (I got both top and bottom done =) ), I would recommend getting it pierced with a hoop or barbell with small balls (the best is the barbell, because the hoop can move too easily, it doesn't help to heal)
    I got it pierced with a standard barbell (with a gem on the ball inside the belly) and it keeps moisture so the healing process is longer. After 3 months (in July) I went to the piercer to get a hoop, now it's almost healed, I just love the way it looks on me. I loved my top one (which I took out because of an ex-girlfriend who didn't like it :/ ), but I prefer the bottom on me =)
    I really like your belly and all of your piercing they are so cute =)

    I've had my belly pierced for about 6 months. I still clean it but I feel like when I do, it looks worse and the bottom ball sticks to the skin. Does that mean something is wrong? Should i get it checked out?

    I'm 21 years old now and have always been a fan of belly button piercings but have been scared to get one. Not because of the pain but I'm afraid it'll get caught into things and I don't like the idea of a scar being left behind.

    +BreeAnn Barbie. I'm so sad!!!!!!! 9 months of babying my belly piercing and it just popped out of my skin! Literally it just fell out..I can't believe I had it that long and it rejected. I am a bigger girl and I wonder if that had something to do with it. Prob won't re-pierce. 😢😢😢

    • @1BethMcBeth
      @1BethMcBeth 8 лет назад +3

      it took piercing mine 5 times!!!! Until I found the "right" piercer who said I should have been pierced from INSIDE the belly button and up to the top because I have a deeper "inny" belly button. He was right and it healed beautifully and it's been over two years now! Take a year for the one that migrated out to heal first!(I DID!) Absolutely DON'T change your jewelry for at least a year or even more! The longer you wait and are patient, it WILL heal and then, you can consider changing out jewelry! Good luck to you and hope this helps you!

    hey Bree! I'm 13 and I live in England and in highschool we have school uniform :( and part of that school uniform is to have no percings ( but I got a navel cuz you cant see it) and another rule is to have your shirt tucked in. I recently had my navel piercing done so its still heeling and I don't want to tell them "I cant have my shirt tucked in because it willhurts my navel piercing and it cant ( breath) properly" so what do I do when I have to tuck my shirt in with my bellybutton piercing and it has to (Breath) ?

    • @hanayi5468
      @hanayi5468 8 лет назад +2

    you look gorgeous today, i love the side bang on you!
    also i have a question i don't know if i should call my piercer, so in the mean time I'll ask you. (it has nothing to do with belly button piercings lmao)
    so i got my upper helix pierced a few days ago and it's my first helix piercing. it was fine the first few days but now almost my entire upper ear (including the inside) is swollen and red. I know it's common for any piercing to swell and be red, but this is not just around the jewelry/hole-it's almost covering my whole ear. should I be swelling this much?? should i call my piercer? i don't know if this is a big deal or not at all. thanks for any advice :)
    xx

    • @BreeAnn823
      @BreeAnn823  8 лет назад +1

      +CharStarFilms Thank you! Yes that's VERY common! I suggest icing it and submerging it in a sea salt solution for 10 minutes 1-2 times a day and it'll go down. :)
      Just keep an eye on it. Helix piercings are VERY touchy and can get pretty painful/swollen.

    • @soapypunchers9257
      @soapypunchers9257 8 лет назад +2

      +BeautyByCorinne Yes, that's normal. It sounds like you just have some hyper topic scarring. Don't take the piercing out, but you can put tea tree oil on the bump to dry it out. Over time, it will just fall off. Keep doing sea salt soaks and clean it like normal.
