To clarify, RWS = range while scan, the basic scan mode, where you can see range and bearing. TWS = track while scan, where it continues RWS in background, but gives more info on the "locked" target, such as target heading, speed, and alt. When hard locked, STT = single target scan, so no RWS in background. This is the only mode that gives the target an RWR warning. Hopefully this helps, as cap seems to have decided to rename some things xD

It's almost like going active on the sonar (RWS) or staying on passive gear (TWS).
    That's how I approach it.
    And this: I haven't missed a 120 shot since I took yer advice on that "crank video", gentleman. . . . . . THANKS A BUNCH.

When I use RWS and hit the lock key, it will lock on the target for a millisecond then lose lock. However when i use TWS it locks and maintains it.

From what I understand, the manual mostly refers to LRS vs TWS. Confusingly, RWS is mostly used for radar warning system which for most intents and purposes is also known as RWR.

    Cap,
Is there a way for two players to operate in the same aircraft so that one player could work the radar, weapon systems, navigation, etc. while the other player flies? Just curious.

Rod Schmidt Multicrew exists for L39 and is coming in some future aircraft such as F14. This will be very fun.

Yup looking forward to The F14 which allows this. (in theory at least...)
